Drug Test Suboxone As Morphine If Dropped Into Urine

Is it possible for suboxone to show up in a confirmed drug test as morphine if dropped directly into urine ?

No you need a special screen for bupe. most screens look for metabolites so I doubt this would do much.

I am an RN taking suboxone for chronic pain management after 3 cervical fusions....Opiates almost became a problem but after deep discussion with 2 drs I went this route...Works well..Occasionally have to add ibuprofen/heating pad...Am ready to return to work and am worried about drug testing ...Will subs show up? Do hospitals generally look for this...Am looking for any experience with this lately...Thanks in advance.

Oh my gaaawd, I've been trying to tell this to people forever now that try to skimp their test results. You CANNOT add suboxone straight to urine and read positive for suboxone, you will fail for OPIATES. Suboxone metabolizes in your system when taken, when added, dissolved in your urine, guess what folks it OBVIOUSLY doesn't metabolize and just rings positive for opiate.

Page, some employers do test while some don't. It just depends if you're going into a field where your competence and sobriety are a COMPANY liability. I honestly assume that as a nurse it holds true that you have others safety and lives in your hands when it gets to it right? But yes any hospital probably will test for it, I'm not sure what the options would be in your field but in mine (DOT supervision, OTR driving that if medicated could suffer side effects and put public safety at risk and therefore the company held liable) you are given two choices, quit suboxone, opiates or any other med with potential mind altering side effects and be able to work (in pain) or stay on them and find a different career choice. It seems harsh at first but if I was in a corporate, CEO position I wouldn't want held liable, sued etc as a company neither so it's understandable.

Actually, there is a special screener for sub. If SWIY gets drug tested, as for methadone - you must consent to taking a test specifically for Methadone or Suboxone.
SWIM is a nurse who works for a Dr. that prescribes Suboxone and knows this first hand.
