I am a electrician for 17 years and my knees hurt and occasionally have bad aches in my feet and I've took other pain meds and for use to them and started getting use to them and took methadone and it works great ## Hello, Darrell! How are you? There is no such thing as a Methadone doctor, technically, any doctor that has their license and can prescribe medications can prescribe it for pain. However, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing bass for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would most likely be the fast and easy way to find the help you need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the...

I am on 165mgs a day. I take liquid. I am being told I need to taper bc I have been going there for almost 4 years. I am terrified. Mostly bc I have been sweating and feeling like s*** AGAIN. Chills and all. I feel like I am already in withdraw. I am scared. But at the same time: I gained literally one HUNDRED pounds since being on this junk. What should I do? I am terrified but I do want my body and mind back. I started this so I would stay normal. Not to lose myself and I definitely do not feel like ME. Please HELP! Is there anything I can do to feel better? To lose weight on this stuff? Will I lose the pounds when I do taper? ## Hello, Angel! How are you? I understand your concerns, but at some point, it is normal for them to want you to taper. They generally try to get people down t...

After being on strips for 5 years and pills for 25 years I know !! This medication sucks! personally I think it is a sugar pill! It does nothing full detox everyday! ## @Jeffrey, Sorry to hear about that. I for one have also noticed a lot of negative feedback surrounding Zubsolv in comparison to brand name Suboxone. Makes me wonder if they stuck a few different "inactive" ingredients in there that prevent it from being absorbed properly. I found this to be the cases with other manufacturer's pain meds as well. Actavis for instance, reformulated Watson's Norco with the same dosage and now it doesn't even work half as good. The only differences this leaves room for is within the list of inactive ingredients. Perhaps the pharmacy can give you a print out of the differen...

What's the difference between Roxane 54/142 and 54/549 dolophine 10mg pills? Is the dolophine stronger and where can I fill my RX for the later? My pharmacy has been filling hydrochloride instead of dolophine I'm prescribed. These are both methadone. ## Hello, Debby! How are you? Yes, both of the tablets you've mentioned contain 10mgs of Methadone. It seems you're misunderstanding what some of this stuff means, so I'll try to clear it up for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hydrochloride only designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, so these are both actually Methadone Hydrochloride, thus neithe...

## NEED TO KNOW USES, SIDE EFFECTS, DERIVATIVE OF ? ## I was doing a lot of searching around myself; Not too much out there on Saboxone. Then I stumbled across a document which made mention of the name along with other related chemicals: Saboxone (pending FDA approval) - Naloxone (antagonist) - Buprenorphine (partial agonist) - Tx of heroin addiction (more efficacious than methadone???) These drugs are for the treatment of opiate related addictions such as Hydrocodone, Herion, etc. Found an article on Buprenorphine at www.drugabuse.gov/NIDA_Notes/NNVol10N1/Bupren.html. Hope this helps... ## Please see the drug SUBOXONE for more information. Thank You! ## I want to get a prescription online, and dont know who would give me one? ## I erroneously clicked abuse next to Susan Ellis's nam...

I started taking suboxone in early June. 8mg/2mg strips. 1 1/2 a day. I didn't find out I was pregnant till around 14 weeks. That's a completely different story but luckily baby is safe due to being on birth control for about 7 weeks of me not knowing yet. Anyway I wanted to get off the subs so I left message after message for my OB and heard nothing back. I finally went in for my 18 week ultrasound. When I asked about OB about what was going on he seemed very confused. He has known about the suboxone but had no clue about me wanting to get off the med because the nurse never gave the messages to him. He advised me to stay on it for the safety of the baby. He said chances are he won't have withdrawals after birth but just incase it is easier for him to treat outside the womb...

I've been on klonopin and suboxone for years. As long as you don't abuse them and take what the dr tells you to, you won't have a problem. It can and will be death if you abuse them. Hope this helps. ## @brian, You have a good point. Self control goes a very long way. As habit-forming as something like klonopin is, continuing to adhere to your doctor's regimen can be the biggest difference between becoming a fully fledged addict or remaining a normal patient. I know those are just labels, but it really is a delicate balance that one must maintain over the duration of treatment or course of several years, as you can vouch for. Glad to hear that you're still finding them both to be beneficial and not detrimental after all this time. Take care!

i have been going to the same suboxone clinic for five years now and i ran out early last summer and i took a few tramadol before my visit to ease my pain. the thing is i HAD NEVER BEEN TESTED IN FIVE YEARS!--so you can imagine my shock when they were suddenly asking me to come shove a stick in my mouth... and the thing is any other year i would have been good to go, no other drugs in my system other then my suboxon and klonipin. needless to say the tramadol did show up in my system and that was ALL THAT SHOWED UP unfortunately because after running out of suboxone i had to go through my klonipin faster to attain some level of comfort. so after some fancy footwork, phonecalls and time, they agreed to see me again and i was fortunately, able to talk the doctor into giving me another chan...

A special person in my life has been taking methadone for over 10 yrs. Like a lot of other comments, the clinic really is impossible to try to pay for. Just found out his ins. will cover methadone. Now desperately need to find a m.d. in southeast KY who will write prescription. Nearest to bell county. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? I'm sorry, but if he has been going to an addiction clinic for treatment or maintenance, then he must remain at the clinic. It is against the law for a regular doctor to prescribe it for that. I wish I had better news for you, many people have asked, but this is the way the laws currently stand. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

I was recently prescribed Butrans patches, 10 mg. and they are to remain on for 7 days at a time. What no one told me, and this is important, as HOT baths help my pain, when patches and pills don't quite do it, is that a hot bath can cause the patch to release more medicine than is safe or intended, and can result in death. I take the Norco 10s 3x day instead of 4, because the Butrans is supposed to help fill in. I do not want to risk my life for pain control, but pain is the one thing I can't control by myself. What would be a good solution to that patch? I wore one for 7 days before I found out how dangerous it is. I need my hot baths, so now what can I do? I take ibuprofen for the inflammation, also. ## Hello, Shuri! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you'r...

I found half of an oblong white pill imprinted with A 5 as it's last 2 digits ## Hi Jen, Would the last two digits be "55" or "A5"? Just wanted to confirm. If it's "55", one guess I have is that it may be a 5mg Methadone tablet manufactured by Mallinckrodt. This particular tablet is white and oblong with an imprint of "M 57 55"... The "M" is on one side and on the other there is a score line that divides the "57" | "55". So if you have only half a tablet it may just contain the "55" and nothing else. Certainly worth looking into if you can pull up a photograph on google. Can you please post back and let me know if that's actually what it turns out to be? Thanks!

im in texas and have been on methadone for 9 yrs and its not looking good to get my methadone in williston, mabe a dr cause i see North dakota is the only state that does not take methadone clinics help please ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? If you require it for addiction/maintenance treatment, then a clinic is your only option. A private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for that. And yes, North Dakota does have Methadone clinics, as well. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do you know where the methadone clinics are in north Dakota ??? I've been trying to move there for the past 3 yrs and have...

I am looking for a docter whi will give me methadone i have moved and the nearest clinic is 2hrs away if anyone can i can drive to charlotte nc if i need too ## Hello, Amy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, if you were previously taking it from a clinic, then going to another one is your only option. It is illegal for private doctors to prescribe it for addiction/maintenance treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone know of one that might be closer in that area?

So I quit opiates on my own and chose suboxone to help with pain... fast forward a few yrs and ive learned its actually fibromyalgia and herniated discs and arthritis giving me all of the pain. Problem now, drs keep passing me off to other drs. Nobody will help me. Im tired of being treated in a poor manner when im in massive pain and can hardly move or walk. I don't know what to do anymore. ## Where you taking Suboxone from an addiction treatment doctor? If so, then that would explain the problem. Doctors are going toe very reluctant to prescribe anything for someone that has an addiction issue listed in their medical records. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and co...

All I know is it is pinkish/orange - 4 or 5 sides - possible something to do with heroin - the only marking on the pill is N8 ## it's suboxone....an opiate addiction maintenance tool...it's preferred to methadone maintanence.. ## Suboxone actually contains two different meds to treat addiction, this one has 8mgs buprenorphine and 2mgs naloxone. The Naloxone prevents the buprenorphine or other opiates from working if you try to crush this pill to snort or inject it, or if you try to take other narcotics with it. ## Well i kno someone that IV's and insufflates suboxone 8/2mg. It still works just as good as dissolving under tounge.

Can my insurance abruptly only pay for 8 mg of my medicine when the doc has prescribed me 16 mg which is two 8 mg a day since I started the pregnancy I'm 22 days away from my due date my doctor told me its dangerous to taper this far along and I've been responding so well to treatment.I have to pay 175 every two weeks out of pocket for the visits and insurance has been taking care of the meds... ? ## Hello, Mommyof3! How are you? There is actually nothing that decrees that your insurance has to cover it, at all. However, since you are pregnant, you might be able to get an exception, so you should speak to your doctor about it, there is paperwork they can submit to make the request. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effec...

I've been finding suboxone on the street and it would be so much easier to find a suboxone doctor. I live in Madison Alabama and I know there are doctors here but I can't find any taking new patients. If anyone knows who is taking new patients and does the suboxone program, please help.

Needing a dependable faster easier way to get my methadone and soma prescribed. Any helpful ideas welcomed ## Good luck with that one. I can't get a Tylenol never mind anything that might work. I have no choice but to suffer. That sucks when there is something that's will help but can't get a Dr to help. They always look at me like I want a million bucks. I just want relief. I don't care what it is. Sad, that's why they make pain meds. People that need them for pain can't get them but the Dr.s will give them to young adults with no prob. I have multiple back shoulders and leg issues and I get Motrin. What a joke. I cry in pain every day. I'm in RI and every Dr sucks here! ## Well if there is anyone out there that has a way to get soma and methadone and xanax ...

Found a white small round pill has a 5and small 7 on one side and blank on the other side do u know what it is ? ## Hi Mindy, From what I could gather, the white round pill marked with a large "5" next to a smaller "7" on one side and blank on the other, is identified as Zubsolv, containing 5.7mgs of buprenorphine + 1.4mgs of naloxone. For additional verification, this tablet is made by a company called Orexo, here in the US. Zubsolv is used to treat people who are addicted/dependent on opioid drugs and is reported to be another brand name of the more commonly known Suboxone. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Zubsolv Details I hope this helps!

I live in Ca n I'm going to Idaho n I have my post dated methadone RX but I'll still b in Idaho when its time to get filled so will they fill it over there or do I have to cum back to Ca to fill it ## As long as the script is a legitimate prescription, & can be verified by your prescribing Dr, it can be filled anywhere. If for whatever reason you're unable to fill, I would suggest getting in contact w/the methadone clinics to help you till you get back home.
