The pain was from overdoing bicycle and motorcycling for many years. I am pain free right now. In a few months I want to quit and see if the pain comes back. The doc said to increase the dose to 16 mg a day right now. He says it will make it easier to quit when the time comes. This makes no sense to me. What is he thinking???? ## Hello, Daniel! How are you? I must admit that I am also confused by that. Going by the information as provided by the FDA and the NIH, it's typically harder to stop a medication from a higher dosage. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...
How much methadone should i take while im taking one subtext everyday? ## When it comes to proper dosing protocols, usually your doctor is the best person to ask. However I have heard that Methadone and Subutex are sometimes approved to be used together since Subutex doesn't have Naloxone. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but in that aspect you shouldn't have to worry about Subutex taking Methadone off the receptors as Suboxone would; leading to precipitated withdrawals. I would just encourage you to discuss how much you should be taking with your doctor, since he/she is the one prescribing it. Does anyone else have advice from personal experience?
I am in search of a Suboxone Dr accepting new patients and Medicaid ...tried every website from suboxone.com to treatmentmatch.org. any help would be greatly appreciated ## just go to your family practitioner and ask them if they know of a doctor that can prescribe suboxone I do know that you have to be seen at least once every 3 months and you cannot Skype, it's not legal to have an appointment for suboxone via skyping over the computer so she can't find you someone locally then you need to ask them to direct you to your nearest DSHS office and tell them you only have about 4 months before you're evicted now that you're a H addict and can no longer work and like the address of where you're four children will be staying because you'd like to visit them to Christm...
I'm trying to find a doctor or program that will prescribe methadone to keep me off of street opiates that doesn't make me go there everyday to get "dosed". I just can't involve my family and I don't want to lie to get out on weekends. I live in Dunedin Fl. and I'm insured but I'll not use insurance if that is required. My goal is to wean the methadone down to 2 a day then go on subutex to get off all together. The clinics I have called expect me to go 4 days with no methadone then start subutex or suoxone. I'm at 100mg per day of methadone and 4 days without is impossible. I'm 61 years old with heart issues. Cold turkey withdrawal will kill me but the clinics really don't worry about that. ## Oh you gonna go EVERYDAY to a methadone clinic and...
Hello, I have raced horses my whole life and been in multiple accidents over the years and now have arthritis in my neck, back and shoulder. I was put on oxycodone for about 2 years but afraid I was getting addicted so I quit taking it and my dr has since retired. My pain is getting worse and worse and I've had a few people tell me that methadone would work good and I wouldn't crave it like the oxycodone. I don't have insurance so I'd be self pay, but I would really like to find a dr in the Lebanon, OH area that could hopefully prescribe this for me. Thank you very much ## That's not necessarily true, Methadone is actually well known for causing cravings, as well as severe withdrawals. That's why most people that are treated with it for addiction end up on a life...
******** most of you guys kill me. Some are very smart. Some are lying to themselves. All the addicts are full of it. As for the none dope heads, hello? That's why you have a doctor. You can call them at any time. I need a coupon for suboxone and got so side tracked by the crap everyone is saying. YOU DIDN'T LOSE YOUR SCRIPT LADY, IT WAS YOUR SON. ALL MEDS, WELL MOST MEDS GIVE YOU MEMORY LOSS. IF YOU HAVE A UA OR MOUTH SWAB AND YOU TOOK MEDS THE DAY BEFORE, YOUR SCREWED; AND IT SUCKS COMING OFF ANYTHING, EVEN SUGAR, YOU'LL LIVE. Stop blaming everyone and everything.
Updated in SuboxoneI have been taking suboxone for over a year and clean and sober. I tried to get insurance with blue cross but they said not because of my drug history. My parents have been helping me buy my suboxone at $8.00 a piece. I would like to know if anyone knows if there is an insurance company out there that would insure some one on suboxone or am I going to have to go thru my whole life without insurance. Also do you think this is considered a pre-existing disease? ## Rhea, my daughter has Anthem, we live in Ohio, I don't know if that will help, but I've been where you are, pills here are 7.50, drs. visit $200, she pays $20 for the dr. 40 for the pills. I hope this helps but I can't be sure. Good Luck to you. ## Yes, getting insurance, when you're already known to have an addi...
If i was concerned that my daughter might be shooting this type of pill, what would I be seeing? ## This tablet contains 8mgs of Buprenorphine, which is a very potent narcotic, it is used in both Subutex and Suboxone and this is a sublingual tablet, so there'd really be no need to take it via injection, it's designed to dissolve under the tongue and work fast. Learn more Buprenorphine details here. The effects would be similar to that of other narcotics, drowsy, dizzy, pinpoint eyes and etc. Has she been known to shoot stuff up? ## if so it would be hard to notice physical symptoms since they're probably use to seeing her high all the time on a much more powerful opioid. I was a H addict for 8 years and I'm still on subutex. its been two years now. in the beginning i kne...
i moved to bilixi a few months ago. i detoxed from methadone using suboxone. finally found a doctor now i need to fill the prescription ## Hello, Reeree! How are you? Have you tried asking your doctor? They may know who in the area can fill it for you, there might even be a specific pharmacy that they recommend for their patients. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you've been trying to find a pharmacy on your own, you should be made aware that you can't call them to ask about such a medication. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate patient with a need, or a potential thief, so they will usually just tell you th...
Been taking suboxone 8mgs for months now and finally found a doctor so I don't have to buy them the hard way. I've been cutting way down and was able to fill my script but I'm worried that the test can show how long I've been taking them or does it just show how much I take? I didn't tell doctor the way I was getting them for obvious reasons, and I'm worried about losing him cause he's really nice and cares about my health.
Updated in SuboxoneI have speech problems which I put down to being on BuTrans 5 patches .Which I was on for 18 months I stopped using 5 weeks ago my lips felt numb and I had difficulty talking my doctor has agreed that the patches were causing the problem and advised me to stop using . My question is Will my speech return to normal as so far I'm still having trouble with slurred speech mb and I am
Updated in ButransI have chronic pain issues. Numerous injuries, a spinal growth and advancing arthritic conditions have my left side barely ussable. I am permanently disabled at 44 and under the care of a pain management center. I was prescribed loritab/norco about 2 yeArs ago and of course the dose went and the tolerance built and by summer of 2014 I found myself taking 4 10's per day...and of course that wasn't enough so I found myself running low every month and spending the week or so before refills in extreme withdrawals. So I went to my general family doctor and started a Suboxone program and called the pain center and told them I didn't want Norco anymore and thought I as doing a good thing. But I forgot about one thing....the God awful pain. I have been on suboxone for about a month ...
I need help I just moved to the dallas texas area and I need to find a doctor that will prescribe suboxone I have been on it for years because of back pain I am almost out of my Prescription and don't know where to go ## Hi, Go to the suboxone website. You,ll see a search engine thing where you enter your zipcode, it,ll show sub drs in your area. Some phyciatrists can prescibe subs and I,ve read some pain drs can also. Good luck. ## Thank you very much hopefully I can get the help I need ## Did you ever find the help you needed? I just moved here and am out for last five days. Any help would be appreciated
I currently am a subutex dr. at south hills recovery project and desprately need to change. This place is very unprofessional and i have severe medical issues that need addressed. Dr.will not even listen. Please help. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? If you're there to be treated for addiction with the Subutex, then that is what this doctor is supposed to be concerned with, for other medical issues, you'll need to see a different doctor, or see this one on an appointment scheduled just for that if he does such, rather than during your Subutex visits. Is anyone aware of other doctors that they can recommend in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...
Hi! I am on suboxone and I find it difficult to speak to just anyone about it. My family and friends don't know I'm on it. Reason being, I wish not to be judged. So, sometimes I feel all alone. I can relate better to guys than women. (And, NO, I'm not a guy!) LOL! Just want to talk about suboxone and relatated issues. Please, no wise crackers or jokesters. ## Hello, I'm a male in the same situation. My family is intolerant and narrow minded. I can't speak frankly to them about any of my problems. Since I was a kid, they treated me like an outcast. I became the family scapegoat. In elementary school, teachers sent them letters that my compositions indicated that I needed to see a psychiatrist. So my parents sent me to a psychologist but never considered that they also...
hello, this is my second month of being on Zubsolv from 8mg sub film. they work just fine for me. I actually use the copay card and got my prescription today absolutely free. I'm in the process of actually cutting back with the ultimate goal of taking nothing at all. Have a great day! ## Awesome! I'm so very glad that it's working for you. Some people have had problems switching. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you had any new side effects, or has the switch been completely smooth?
i took i methadone how long will it stay in my urin ## The usual detection time for Methadone in a urine test is approximately 7 days, after last dosing. The precise time frame can vary from person to person, depending on your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. but a week is the general average for most people. Learn more Methadone details here. If you have a prescription for it, then you simply have to inform them of that, when you go in for testing. Do you have a test coming up? ## I do, in a few weeks. I was taking appox 30mg 3 times a day, did not affect my pain and I did not like the 'so what' feeling.so went back on lortabs which I have taken for about 15 years. I am a professional and .
Hi I've been on suboxone for 18 months now, have never had a dirty urine in this entire time and today I saw my gp and he informed me I tested positive to benzos? My past habit was opiates, I can't understand how or why i tested positive! I've not taken anything but my prescribed avanza and my subs. So confused this has never happened before. I started on 32mg I'm now down to 2mg every second day, I've worked hard to get here n I'm shocked with this result. Any info or help would be really appreciated :(
Updated in SuboxoneCan taking subutex for a long term have an effect on vaginal dryness? I am able to get aroused and climax but i don't have any wetness. Now and then I might get a little wet but mostly I'm dry. I also smoke marijuana but i wud like to know if this could be a side effect? I have looked through the Internet and I'm not going thru menopause. What else could make me dry when I shouldn't be?
Updated in SubutexI am curently on methadone/xanax at crusader clinic in Rockford illinois. Due to my P.a. not properly reading my charts it looks as though I have 4-5 drugs shown in urine test that my dr /pa did not prescribe. So I am being taken off methadone and xanax for chronic back pain. Can my pain management provider who has a private practice take me as a client,or do I have to get a Different M.D since the one I have is dropping me.
