IT HAS l55 ON ONE SIDE AND A FANCY D ON THE OTHER. HAS ANTONE HEARD OF THIS? THANKS ## yuppp this is one of the new generics for suboxone, i believe its 8mg, every things all good ## That is correct, just as methadoneman said. To be even more precise, it contains 8mgs of Buprenorphine and 2mgs of Naloxone. Since it does contain a narcotic opiate, it does have the potential to be habit forming itself and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Learn more Suboxone details here. Are there any comments or questions? ## Just got the new tab Suboxone generic. It is round, white, looks like a moon on one side and 155 printed on the other. On the pill bottle i...
My husband was on suboxone 60 mg the for 3 years. Recently he stopped suboxone cause he is in pain with his hip and needs a replacement. He started taking 120-180mg of morphine for about 3-4 days and then stopped the morphine, waited about 9-10 hours, and went back to suboxone. Now he has been running a fever for two days, very lethargic, and nauesea. Is he going through withdrawal? ## Hello spotty sorry for the pain your husband's in. I too am prescribed suboxone and have hip trouble. Actually have recently had both replaced and I'm on the sub for my weakness for the opiates.. it actually gives me better relief than the oxycodone did. As for the fever I'm not sure - some people have different withdrawal symptoms. I suggest checking with your dr because if there's arthri...
Someone I know took one sliver of a suboxone, but had never taken it before. It was to help them get through a day without pain meds. How long till they can take a 30mg dose of regular medication for pain relief? ## Hello, Nickels! How are you? About 72 hours, due to the Naloxone in the Suboxone, it takes that long for it to stop blocking other opiates. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Where can I get only 2, @ 8.2 mg of sub's until I see my doctor tomorrow Tue evening!! I forgot (3) in hotel & left forgetting them started to panic. Can feel WD coming on right now 1 day without. I hat...
I took 3/4 of subutex yesterday at 3 pm and the rest at 1/4 at 5 am im still in alot of pain how long before I can take a methadone ## That would depend on how much methadone. Subutext doesn't have Naloxin in it do withdrawls wouldn't be in your future. However subutext is more efficient if taken at the same time everyday, here's why. When you take it the sub builds up in your plasma and has a much longer life than methadone or other opiates. As it stays it builds up the plasma levels out, creating like a barrier for pain. Does that make sense to you? When the levels drop you start to feel more pain and eventually withdrawls if not continue and also if your building a tolerance which I have had issues with and never had with other opiates. Methadone wasn't for me. I was ...
I have a large and long opiate habit and no matter how long i wait to switch to subutex i go into heavy wd's. At times i should have been in the hospital. Any suggestions? ## Hello, Andrew! How are you? You do have to be in full withdrawal, already, before you can take it, even though it doesn't contain the Naloxone like Suboxone. The Buprenorphine itself tends to cling to the opiate receptors much stronger than other opiates do, so taking it to early can also cause you to go into full withdrawal. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How long have you usually waited to take it? What instructions did your doctor provide?
Hi everyone! I was wondering if suboxone is as hard 2 get off as methadone? I was on 110 of methadone 4 almost 5 years, after many years of Oxy abuse. Got down 2 (24) and the withdrawals were so bad, and, the cravings came back. Dr put me on suboxone, which works great. I've been on 3 (8 mg) a day 4 almost 8 years now. I'm scared 2 death 2 get off. I suffer with a lot of pain, too. The suboxone helps some. What with it. I'm also afraid of the bad withdrawals, and returning back 2 pain pills. Any advise will b helpful. ## Hi Cats, You definately can get off subs it just takes time. Why not cut down just a couple of mgs and see how it goes. Instead of 8 three times a day you could try 8 than 6 than 8. If you feel allright after a week or so try dropping another 2. Theres no se...

I am a great dad and a pretty s***ty husband, I have put my wife threw hell with my addiction. I need my life back PLEASE HELP ## Hello, Adam! How are you? A slow taper is the best way to stop. Your prescriber should be able to advise you on the best way to d...
Would a doctor rather write scripts gor pain killers or suboxone? I've been on opiates for 10 yrs as has my husband. He was recently put on suboxone and seems to be doing so much better and I'd like to change as well and have had people tell me that a dr would rather prescribe something like suboxone instead of the strong pain killers that I'm currently on...Tia ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? Some doctors do prefer it, due to the fact that the Naloxone in it helps prevent a patient from being able to abuse other opiates. That's why it's also the preferred medication for addiction treatment, now. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. However, it is entirely up to yo...
I've been dealing with addiction to pain medication for a few years now. Only a few months ago did I finally admit to myself I had a problem. I haven't had insurance for the past 2 years, so I have been using suboxone and it has done wonders for me already. So, my question, I started a new job today, and I knew I would have to do a drug test. I made sure to not take any pills starting about 6 days ago, so I wasn't worried about failing. However, I assumed suboxone wasn't tested for, so I hadn't thought much about it being in my system. I took the test this morning, it was an EZ split, integrated key cup test. Results in 5 minutes. I worked all day, but when I got home, I looked up the brand of the cup. I realized that the 12 panel version of these cups test for subox...
i have been dealing with cronic pain for over 15 years and have been on heavy pain medicines the best results that i every received was when i was given methadone pills unfortunalty the dr is no longer in business. i am having problems finding a dr who will prescribe them i have been give 150 mcg of fentynal, also oxycoton with oxycodone for break through pain. none of these work as well as methadone pillls. can any suggest a dr that can help. ## Hello, Sydney! How are you? Well, if you're calling around to various doctors asking if they'll prescribe it, you're going to be told no from the get go. Doctors are going to see that as being drug seeking behavior. You need to set up an appointment first and then let your medical records speak for themselves, but even then you'...
This is simple. I've been on suboxone for five years. I'm clean. I took opiates for thirty years. Methadone was the kinky way out and frankly doesn't work for the same reason subutex rarely works. You can still take opiates on top of both. Suboxone has a blocker. It is easy knowing you can't feel high. I still go to therapy and meetings. Beats being deaf. Good luck. ## Hello, Anfy! How are you? Actually, Subutex can still block other opiates from working, so many people do have good luck with it. It contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, which tends to cling to the opiate receptors in the brain much stronger than most other opiates, so it can also cause precipitated withdrawal, if someone has been taking any recently. The FDA classifies it as an opiate that is mos...
Ive been taking methadone for 5 years finding it off the street because the clinics are very inconvienent. X addict been clean 5 years due to the methadone. also i have a serious ankle injury that causes severe pain ## Hello, Droop! How are you? There is no listing of what doctor prescribes any specific medication. And due to the new regulations that went into effect this year, if you require this type of medication for long-term treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Learn more Methadone details here. That said, most aren't going to want to prescribe Methadone, due to it having its own very highly addictive nature. That's why addiction treatment has been focusing on Suboxone, now. It actually enables most people to end up completely drug...
I ran out of subutex and took Methadone for a week. Approximately 80 mg a day, and the last few days 40 mgs. I have Subutex but I'm afraid to take it bc of the precipitated withdrawal. It's been almost 72 hrs. I'm feeling bad but also have a stomach virus so I don't know if it's withdrawal or if I'm still waiting for this stomach bug to move out. I've been sneezing like crazy, shaky and sweaty. I need to take my Subutex badly. I have 3 kids and I just waht to feel normal. ## Well no one replied but after waiting 72 hrs, I took 2 mgs of subutex. I still felt that icky withdrawal feeling. I waited and took 4 mg the next day, and was still a lil icky. After the 3rd day I started feeling a LITTLE better. After the 5th day I was back to normal. Thank God! I'll...
I recently left the Eastern clinic. Due to my work scheduel starting @ 7A.M. I can no longer make it there. I was wondering if anyone knew of any doctors in town that could help me out. ## Private doctors are not allowed to prescribe it for addiction, that has to be done through a clinic, where they are specially trained to do so. Learn more Methadone details here. Private doctors can only prescribe it for pain. Have you tried seeing if there are any other clinics with different hours that are close to you? ## Thered only 2 in Grand Rapids one that only accepts medicaide ( this one also has hours which conflict with my job 7am-3:30pm) and the Eastern Clinic. I don't know what to do. ## In a city your size, there should be a clinic that is open late Don't you have take homes? I g...
I am a man who is trapped on methadone. I took opiates for three years and I was off for six weeks, with what felt like having the symptoms of flu. At age 28 I was prescribed methadone. That was 18 years ago. I have tried about 7 times to get off, all with very intense pain, sickness, and diarrhea (sic). I am now aware that I won't ever get off it now, as the methadone is in my bone marrow. I would love to have a life free from methadone, but it is never going to happen. I have been quoted up to £5000 for treatment, where the hell am I going to get money like that? I'm on 60mls a day, along with another highly addictive drug. Naltrexone and subutex are not an option as, if I go any lower than 60 I start to have very painful withdrawal symptoms. I have had a heart attack and...
I have been taking 1mg xantax a day for over a year how long will it take to be out of my system I weigh in app. 160lbs have not taken any for 6 days ## HI, Susie! How are you feeling? Have you had any withdrawal symptoms? This is a medication you really shouldn't stop cold turkey, because doing so causes the risk of seizures, so please be careful. As to how long it will take to process out of your system, so any side effects stop and your body gets used to no longer having the medication added, that will take about 4 to 6 weeks. ## I have been on Clonazapam for 20+ yrs. I am currently on 3 mg a day. Ive had seizures and Horrible WITHDRAWLS including suicidal ideations and an obsession with my death, will I have to take this medication forever? Also I take Suboxone 8mg strips one a ...
Hey I have a question and some info. I am getting ready to come off of 300 mgs of morphine. Started with vics, soon moved to 80mg of oxys, then to 100mg morphine tabs 3 times a day. I got into a suboxone clinic very expensive. I only pay 120.00 dollars for my morphine and now I have to go and pay 935.00 dollars for the first month without medication? I AM SCARED AND VERY NERVOUS TO START THIS...Any advice? And does anyone get there meds online? Figured if you can get narcotics why not the stuff to cure it? I have looked but I think it might be 2 new. Yes I will have a script for it in 8 days....HELP? ## Suboxone will not be easy to find from an online pharmacy, it is very closely regulated and legally can only be used under the supervision of a doctor who is specially trained in its use...
Hello everyone.. first time writing in a forum like this.. so basically I've taken opiates for 6 or 7 months. Yesterday's at 10 pm I was at my first 24 hours with nothing. I started my subs. I took two 8mg strips.. an hour later took two more, then three hours later took two more, then three hours later took one and again three hours later took one. Last one. That was ten hours ago. I'm worried about when that will all wear off and when should I take another strip? Any helpful advice, please and thank you. ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Have you taken any more? That was a very high dose to take in on day, the maximum is usually just 32mgs and you took twice that. It is also slowly titrated up to a higher dose, after seeing how someone does on a low one. What dosing schedule did...
Side affects of methadone my patient took some wondering what to look for ## Hello, Rita! How are you? The FDA classifies Methadone as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Overdose symptoms may include trouble breathing, extreme dizziness and drowsiness, and lowered heart rate. Is there anything else I can help with?
