I Need Help!!! Subutex

I have been on suboxone for years. I want off!!! I have a family and my wife has about had it. I really want off but I still have to work so I fear w/d. I don't take alot I can take a 3rd of a strip. I just had to change to subutex because I lost my insurance and subutex is cheaper. I have detoxed once before and it was hell. Does anyone have any good success stories with getting off this s***. I am open to any ideas I just need my family I have a 4 yr old boy and an amazing wife I am a great dad but I have a monkey on my back. I am a great dad and a pretty s***ty husband, I have put my wife threw hell with my addiction. I need my life back PLEASE HELP

A slow taper is the best way to stop. Your prescriber should be able to advise you on the best way to do so.

You're not taking a very high dose, so it shouldn't take too long. It is hard to get off of, but many have successfully done it, which is why it's the preferred drug for addiction treatment, now. Usually, they just gradually lower the dosage for a a month, or so, to let your body adjust, then lower it, again.

The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain, depression, anxiety and diarrhea.

If you've put your wife through hell and she's still married to you, then you may not be as bad as you think you are and yes, she's definitely a good woman. :-)
