I have been on Soma for about 2 months but it makes my stomach hurt so badly. Dr. has presribed other things but nothing works as well as the Soma. Does anyone know of a medication (nothing narcotic) that works the same or has the effect as the Soma. Now that I have read the addictive information would like to try something different. I have Fibromyralgia, anxiety, Panic attacks & 5 herniated discs in my back. I have been seeing a pain management doc for 2 years. He has me on Percocet 10mg 4 a day & Soma 325mg 3 a day. I went in yesterday & his nurse practitioner advised me they will no longer write Soma. They are going to put me on Zanaflex. I have taken just about every one out there. They all give me either a fast or irregular heart beat. Soma is the only one I have ever taken that doesn't cause any side effects. I have always taken my Rx as prescribed. I have never done illegal drugs. I'm a nurse & very afraid of this. My question is this. Is the Dea making it illegal for Docs to write Soma? I am going to be tested, but am not sure which test I will be required to take. can u tell me what the test will show if I take flexril, tramadol, prednisone, and nyquil ## As far as I know, prednisone shouldn't show up at all, and neither should the other things but each of the other is a possibility. Tramadol isn't necessarily an opiate but it works with the opiate receptors and can cause a false positive. Flexeril is a skeletal muscle relaxant and also isn't tested for on any ua as far as I've ever heard, but it has been known to cause false positives for benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium, Ativan, etc.). And also NyQuil contains alcohol I believe and if your test includes alcohol as a panel it can show up depending on how far apart your last use was from your test and ot...

It has the numbers 2631 and a V on the other side of pill. It's just like the ones with the V and the numbers 2632 on it. What's the difference? ## Thse tablets are manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, and while they both contain the muscle relaxant Cyclobenzaprine, the doses are different. They list the one with 2631 as containing 5mgs of it, and the one with 2632 as containing 10mgs of it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take cyclobenzaprine every night for my back. Mine have always been mustard color with an M on one side and 751 on the other. The last one I had filled and started to take today is peach in color with 1G on one side and 283 on the other. I have not been able to find a picture of them or the # either. ## Hello, Jean! That may be why you had trouble finding them, the marking is actually ig 283, with capital letters, so that's not a 1. This pill I found says west-ward 292 on it and 750 mg. What would be the best way to safely dispose of them? Found about 15 in a Ziploc bag while doing some cleaning in a house for sale. The people who lived there must have left them. It was written on the bag what they were but I don't know what to do with them. ## Abiding by safe FDA disposal practices, you have 2 options... Is methocarbamol (robaxin) a steroid or anti-depressant? I started using it two months ago in Apr 2013 and I am experiencing severe mood swings. The two things that cause me mood swings is IM, IV, or oral steroids or any type of anti-depressant. I'm becoming reclusive, angry and noncommunicative. This happens every time I'm exposed to either drug category. I know depressants can also cause these side effects, but I've had lots of those without side effects whereas I've never taken one of the aforementioned without them. I have a bugling disc for which I am taking fentanyl 25mcg and hydrocodone, but I am still in a great deal of pain that makes me cry. The pain is in my leg and thigh. I have had one series of 3 shots in my back with no relief. Would robaxin help? The pain is so bad. ## Robaxin contains the active ingredient Methocarbamol, it is a muscle relaxant, so it's really only going to help with pain that's due to muscle spasms, or strains. Has your doctor advised you to use it? ## Does robaxin 750mg have anti-inflammatory properties? Is it equivalent to prednisone 10mg?

I am 22 years old. I took colospa retard for a month. I wanted to know if colospa retard is just a relaxant for intestines, or if it can affect other muscles, like in prostate or bladder? For ex. Baclofen, which is muscle relaxant, can cause retrograde ejaculation. Can the colospa retard have the same effect? ## Its an anti spasmodic and really helps in ibs symptoms. And no it shouldn't cause retrograde ejaculation, if its happening to you, you should consult with your doctor.

I took 2 10mg flexerils because I was in pain. They are non narcotic muscle relaxers. But my concern is I dont have a prescription and I had a random ua the next day.will it show up in my ua, and if it does what does it show up as? ## Flexeril has been known to show false positives, but only for tricyclic antidepressants, which aren't substances that are tested for on standard drug screenings. Does a drug test show soma and baclofen as the same?...I see a pain mgmt doctor on Wednesday and I don't know if she will do a u/a. I'm out of baclofen right now, but I have a few soma and need to know if I can take them. ## Your Pain Mgmt Dr won't be looking for Soma, he will be looking for street drugs or levels of opiates too high for what he has prescribed (ie:you are taking more than prescribed or using heroin). Soma's like other non-narcotics would have to be tested/looked for specifically for you to be caught.

I've had multiple surgeries in the past and I take Soma would it affect mysperm to have a baby with my wife? I just started taking it this month for the first time. ## No you shouldn't have any problems. I do not take any street drugs at all. I am disabled and I am raising 4 of my grandkids. For a personal reason someone called DSS and they done drugts. I take several mecidens For my disability. At my drug screen testing I was not worried at all because I have a script for everything I use. Well my drug screen showed up as meth and I have been taking NORFLEX.. This is the only med I found that could show up that way. Please help me and let me know if anyone has any information about it. Will Soma help with the muscle spasms associated with bulging discs in the neck? I am currently taking Zanaflex, but am concerned about the side effects caused by this muscle relaxer. ## It may help, but the side effects profile is basically the same, since they are both muscle relaxants. The FDA reports that you may experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. What other side effects are you worried about? Maybe those can be addressed in order to better help you. I take Warfarin, Amlodipine, Indapamide, Glipizide & Lipitor. Can I also take Cyclobenzaprine for muscle pain? ## Have they all been prescribed for you? What are the side effects going to be if I stop taking robaxin and pecocet all at one time? ## The FDA warns that you may experience fever, chills, rebound pain, rebound insomnia, and irritability. What are you stopping abruptly? A slow taper is usually the best thing to do. Are you on any other medications? How long have you been taking them?
