I am interested in enemas for detoxing the body but I'm afraid of getting very nauseous. What's the best and easiest way to deliver it? ## Hello, Stargirl2013! How are you? An enema consists of forcing the substance of choice up into your intestines through your anal cavity, not swallowing it or anything, so it really shouldn't cause much nausea. Some of the stimulant medications that are used for constipation can cause nausea, but that's usually not what's used in most detox enemas. It's also not proven to detox the body any more effectively than your natural bowel movements and before you engage in such, you need to check with your doctor to make sure that it is safe for you to do so. It says no red or purple, but would blue and orange gatorade be off limits since it is close to those colors? ## My best guess is that it has something to do with a specific ingredient or dye that's used in the red and purple, so the other colors should be fine as long as they aren't specifically on the list. All docs have their opinions. I'm not sure why my doc insisted on me raking Suprep when many I know were told to take over the counter laxatives. I think it's because the doctor gets a kick back from prescribing it!!! I won't take it again. It is so nasty tasting...

My doctor gave me samples of Linzess for constipation I though that 290 mcg would work faster, but didn't have any movement, so I tried the 145 mcg and had great results, I'm. Out of the 145 mcg and was wounding if mcg's are different then mg. Is the larger number 290mcg less in strength then the 145mcg? Will I have to take 2 to get the 145 mcg? ## Hello, B J! How are you? And no, it most likely worked because you had those dosages in your system so close together, so they overlapped and combined to help. But to put it in milligrams for you, 145mcgs is 0.145mg and 290mcgs would be 0.290mgs. Is there anything else I can help with?

I haven't been able to definitively confirm it, but I found one listing that states that this is a 1200mg Magnesium tablet, which is used as a laxative. But that is really just a guess, I am not finding a listing for this anywhere and if it is something thats available over the counter as a supplement, then that would explain it, since they aren't required to log those imprints with the FDA. Can anyone confirm this?

I was diagnosed with impacted bowels today and prescribed 290 mcg of Linzess. My pcp indicated this would get my bowels cleaned out (that I would basically have diarrhea until I am cleaned out) and then I will use it for maintaining good bowel movements. I am wondering how long it will take for it to start working for the cleanout as I need to go back to work but can't until I get this process over. ## Hello, Rena! How are you doing? The Aciloc contains the active ingredient Ranitidine, which is an antacid, it's used to treat or prevent conditions such as ulcers, GERD, heartburn and gastritis, which means it was likely given to prevent the stomach irritation that the Lyser can cause, since it contains the active ingredient Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. I was prescribed Secnidal 500 @ 1 every 12 hrs for 4 days to kill Blastocystis Hominis Parasites. I was told I would experience bad cramps, nauseous and be very sick. I am on my last pill and have no such feelings. After "resting" 7 days, I am to take Trimetoprima 80mg & Sulfametoxazol 400mg for 7 days. Hi All ... I took two senna lax . this morning and one of the cut the inside of my throut. with in 20min my glans grow to the size of baseballs and my throut started to close on me i could not breath.. It's the size of an oc, with a slightly yellow coating and white inside, tablet, only marking I can see is either an s1 or 51, POSSIBLY 31 but I don't think that's it. i have just started taking 2mg tablet today and it is causing diarreah can i cut it in half and try it (it is very expensive here in Australia). also if i can cut it in half will the leftover half that i will take the next day still be effective (how long before deterioration of the cut half)? thanks in advance ## Hello, Cj! If it isn't, then it should be safe for you to cut it in half, as long as your doctor approves, but you can't do that if it is a time released formulation of the medication. Just started 2mg tablet today and was wondering if they can be cut in half? reason being it may be too strong (gave me diarrhea) after a couple of hrs "much to my shock/surprise" (and headache) and they are so expensive in Australia - G'day all. However there are a multitude of other food options and natural supplements that may prove to be just as good or better, for the reluctant prune eater. Posted below are just a few other approaches I found for relieving constipation: Psyllium Barley/Oatmeal Beans Raw Fruits or Veggies (loaded with digestive enzymes) Raw Honey (also has powerful digestive enzymes in it's raw form) Apple Cider Vinegar Exercising regularly Probiotics (supplement) Digestive Enzymes (supplement) NOTE: Bitter-tasting foods also help stimulate the digestive tract I hope this info helps! It's not a common side effect, but it can happen. The Hydrochlorothiazide in it may be causing you to be a little dehydrated and that might cause some constipation initially. I was a chronic constipated. After the colonscopy and endoscopy it was known H.pylorie traces and severe gastritis. I am advised to go for sompraz hp, and almok 250. It is just two day since I started the pack. Now please inform when I can see my bowel movement. All what I eat is getting stuck inside my stomach. I dont see any movement of gas in my stomach.please advice me.
