HI I ACTUALLY HAD TO CALL THE SOCIAL SERVICES ON MY 12 YR OLD DAUGHTER TRYING TO GET HELP FOR HER AS SHE IS ACTUALLY PSYCALLY ABUSING ME OK.. NOW THEY WANT TO DO DRUG TESTS AND COUNTS ON ME .BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH WORKER AS I NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE THE PICS OF ALL THE BRUISES BUT IN ANY CASE SHE KNOWS I AM ON SOMA ,BUT NEVER COUNTS N TEST FOR THM ALOT OF HELPFUL IN ON HERE .BUT STILL I NEED TO KNOW WHT TO DO AS IM NOT ABUSING MY MEDS AND I GET MANY OF THM.AND THEY DO SND THE URINE TESTS OFF.SO I AM WONDERING ALL THT I HVE JST READ IS SOMA A NARCOTIC N WILL IT SHOW IN A SNT OFF URINE TEST AND THE DIPSTICK TEST ,IM SORRY BUT AM V V V CONFUSED THK YOU....

as an opiate addict from way back, including being on suboxone, i would NEVER suggest someone get on that stuff if they werent a serious opiate addict. not all that effective for pain when we are talking about someone who already takes pain killers/muscle relaxers etc. and horribly addicting. if this person is already regularly using opiates, it wont work well for pain. if the person has no type of tolerance WHATSOEVER for any kind of drugs, then yes it can be effective. a lot of things to consider.

Try suboxone..not only does it help with pain it keeps u from withdrawing or craving other opiates..only certain doctors can prescribe it but it is much better then methadone

Almost all of you people have no idea what you are talking about or how drug metabolization works. long answer short it is possible for Soma to show up in a drug test. That being said I have never heard of a dipstick immunoassay that tests for Soma. I doubt they exist. Now if it were go to a lab, then yes they can test for anything under the sun. If it goes to a lab for screening it is possible it could show up, but it all depends on what they test for. Everything costs money.

Soma is Not a narcotic drug, unless the government decides to label it so. Here it is schedule ll. ANY drug can be identified via urine or blood analysis as ordered by your Dr. Be careful.

So I found myself in this very problem with having to take a 12 panel urine test after I took 3 somas the very next day and I have read all the conversation about this on this sight but here's a little more insight on this matter you are OK and WILL PASS A 12 PANEL urine test but if they test specifically for somas or a select few that it will show up as false positive for morphine luckily I'm not and I came back clean so I wanted to thank all the ppl that sheared correct information about this matter so SOMAS ARE "NOT" TESTED FOR ON A 12 PANEL drug screen trust me I found out with a negative test today HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL.......

To Tina this is absolutely right I was waiting for someone to say how the liver metabolizes it into meprobamate or Milltown which is an anxiety medicine but it actually a barbiturate as we'll. most barbiturates were given for headaches back in the day For housewives. But as far as I know it does not show up in a 10 or 12 panel because it starts is Caradisaprol and then is metabolized into Miltown but because it doesn't start as a barbiturate it doesn't show up as one because I was on it for years and years and in rehab with a ten panel test and I was good the whole time I am currently still in treatment and I am getting some soma from my friend Monday and I'm a little nervous bc I have worked very hard to get where I am but I'm sure I'll be fine bc I was before

Kat,I know this is a little late,but if you're still on that stuff and want off,find a doctor who prescribes suboxone.I got on it 2 years ago and it is way safer than methadone!

I was in drug court as well and I took somas all the time bcuz it was the only thing I could take without getting sanctioned. In other words, they do not test for somas in drug court in sarasota/manatee county florida.

Herion IS an opiate and will fail on ANY urine, blood or hair test! It does NOT need to be sent to a lab to fail. It's important that people know that. Pain pills are blue collar heroin and they both fail for opiates no matter what. The lab then can tell the difference. The labs can tell if you have Tylenol in your system, so if your in a court ordered program you MUST find out what you can and CANT have in your system.

Suboxone is an opiate blocker. Soma is not an opiate. I know this cuz I've been on soma 350mg 4x/day for past 3 yrs. My wife, who is on suboxone, takes my soma (w/o permission, of course), but leaves my 10mg Percocet (an opiate) alone cuz they won't do anything for her with Suboxone on the brain. But the somas still have same effect. Please update ur "add" to address suboxone is for opiate addiction. Thank u
