I have burning sensation all the time on my chest/stomach. Please advise if i can use aprzole. let me know either this is a time to time solution or permanent solution and how long i should use this. What is the difference? They appear to be the same drug but there has to be a difference otherwise why would there by 2 different colors and #s. Please advise. ## What is the difference between the KU R118 (off white/gold) vs. R158 lavendar and gray capsule? ## Omeprazole is a generic for Prilosec and, when a medication is available as a generic, it is usually made by several different companies, thus the only difference in the ones you've asked about is the manufacturer. for about a 3 hour period- i couldn't focus my eyes after having taken omeprazole cr 40 mg for about 3 days-got worried it might be the medication, so i quit taking it --any possiblity it could have caused this--My acid problem has returned and don't know what to think --HELP PLEASE ## It isn't listed as a common side effect, but actually usually as a symptom of overdose, so it may just have been that it was too high of a dosage for you. My mother has been taking Omeprazole for GERD for about a year, and she has been dealing with depression lately. She has always been a very upbeat person, so I do not think that any life events or other factors could be contributing to her mental health. This evening I read startling information that depression may actually be a serious side effect of Omeprazole and that she should report that to her doctor. At this point she does want to let her doctor know so that she can get off this med, but is also concerned that her pains from GERD will return. Can anyone recommend an alternative medication / supplement / or NATURAL treatment to keep the GERD under control (natural would be ideal)?? I have been taking three D 500 CAL tablets per day for the last two years. This was prescribed to me for high PTH and low calcium. The condition is now normal. I have been told that this supplement will continue for maintenance. Is there any risk of kidney stone formation if I continue this dose? Has 44 on top and 332 on bottom. Can anyone identify for me? Thanks ## Unfortunately, I cannot find a listing anywhere for this specific pill. However, I can tell you that these pills marked with a 44 followed by additional numbers are over the counter products. They are sold in many stores as the store brands or generics of other name brand products, such as Tylenol, Aleve and etc. Does anyone else know what this is?

This could be a CVS or Walgreen pill, perhaps antacid?? ## The closest match I found has the same imprint, but is round and not elongated as you mentioned. Since no other results come close in the prescription drug databases, I'm thinking you are right in that this is an over-the-counter medication. I would probably consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy to have them check it out, as over-the-counter meds usually don't show up in the prescription drug databases for identification, and aren't required to show up either. I have been taking Zegrid for about 6 months which seems to be more effective than the Prilosec I was previously taking. The medicine is expensive and if I could get a prescription for similar medication, it would be less expensive with my co-pay. Any suggestions? ## It contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is available in generics and name brands both over the counter and by prescription, but it has the same active ingredient as the Prilosec. Is there anything else I can help with?
