I have been recommended Rabesec-D SR for neck pain, but there has been no improvement. I have been using cylift for 5 years. My doctor put me on Venlor 8 months ago. I was doing well on cylift. I also take Pariet for GERD. Now with the Venlor I have increased accid reflux and a feeling of pressure between breasts. This I never had with Cylift. Can I go back to Cylift. I stopped Venlor TODAY to see if the accid reflux decreases. I wouldn't even consider getting off of Nexium. I hadn't heard the stomach thing. Are you sure that's true? Gerd can cause esophageal cancer so don't know which is worse. I have esophageal spasms and the pain mimmicks a heart attack. Ended up in the ER twice thinking I was surely dying. I don't think I would get off ## What is the stomach thing you are talking about. I am on Cymgen and Nexium, and experience extreme tiredness and sleepiness ........... any comments? ## Are you aware of the side effects associated with each medication? Esomeprazole (Nexium) lists "excessive tiredness" as a serious side effect that should be addressed by your doctor as soon as possible. Cymgen (Generic Cymbalta) also listed "tired feeling" and "drowsiness" as common side effects. It's difficult to say which medication is doing it more than the other (if not equally), but none the less, I'd recommend contacting your doctor to get a better evaluation of what's going on and how you should effectively handle it. Is taking Omeprazole contraindicated while taking nitrofuran monohyd macro 100 mg? One of the warnings in the information sheet provided for the medication is to "not use magnesium trisilicate-containing antacids while taking this medication." ## Hi Diane, Based on my research there actually aren't any drug interactions listed between those two medications 'in and of themselves'. This is a pink liquid in a bottle with the instructions: Swish 2 teaspoonfuls 15 min. before meals and bedtime, then spit. That would be twice the maximum recommended daily dosage, so yes there could be some dangers associated with taking two of them in a day. One concern would be the possibility of your lowering your production of stomach acid too much, which could result in your food not being properly digested. That has the potential of causing dangerous stomach issues, as well as blockages and a deficiency in vital nutrients. The other issue that it may cause is an increased risk of hip fractures, just like those which may occur with very prolonged ingestion of these medications. I now am taking nexium 45 minutes before my first meal of the day. At the next meal I take a calcium/vit D/magnesium supplement. When can I take meloxican for inflammation in my sacroiliac joint and so that mobic will not interfere with the benefits of the supplement and nexium. ## Hello, My research states that Meloxicam can be administered without regard to timing of meals or accompanying administration of antacids. I'm not quite sure if this would work the same when it comes to vitamins- but I believe you would be ok to take the Meloxicam about 30 min- 1 hour after you take the vitamins.
