Reintroducing Cylift

I have been using cylift for 5 years. My doctor put me on Venlor 8 months ago. I was doing well on cylift. I also take Pariet for GERD. Now with the Venlor I have increased accid reflux and a feeling of pressure between breasts. This I never had with Cylift. Can I go back to Cylift. I stopped Venlor TODAY to see if the accid reflux decreases. However, I do not want to "crash" again mentally like before when I used to take myself off medication.

Hi Bebo,

From your description, I don't see why your doctor would have any particular reason to deny you the ability to switch back over from Venlor to Cylift; especially if he can also judge that it's not the appropriate medication for you.

You also mentioned that you take Pariet for GERD. Has this medication ever given you any problems as well? From what I've read, "difficulty breathing or swallowing" and "irregular, fast, or pounding heartbeat" are both listed as serious side effects that should be reported to your doctor immediately. I just wonder if either of these side effects have anything to do with the feeling of pressure within your chest…So that may be something else you'd want to discuss with your doctor as well.

Venlor on the other hand, lists the following side effects that could also be causing a feeling of pressure in your chest:

heartburn
chest pain
muscle tightness
difficulty breathing or swallowing
fever, sweating, confusion, fast or irregular heartbeat, and severe muscle stiffness

It's difficult to determine what exactly might be causing the problem since two of your medications could be at fault. However I hope this information can at least help you work with your doctor on finding an appropriate solution in the meantime.
