Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia (Page 53)

Hi,

My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

Just moved to Phila. from So Florida. Have several autoimmune diseases and HORRIBLE back pain, where I cant even stand for more than 5 minutes, w/o massive pain. I am on Morphine Sulate ER, 30mg, 2x a day and Percocet 10/325 up to 4 a day for breakthrough pain. I do not have insurance right now. I had a pain management Dr in Florida who I saw once a month an received my scripts. I have only been here for 2-1/2 weeks and have been trying to find a pain management doctor here and no one will write for what I was taking....I was just in the hospital for 3 days due to anxiety (thought it was a heart attack), they wrote me an Rx for my BP med, and thyroid and Nexium but not for muscle relaxer or pain meds but they did give them to me at hospital. AND even though I was there for anxiety they won't write for alprazolam (generic xanex) either! I have NO clue what to do! The hospital gave me the address of a sub stance abuse center!! I DO NOT ABUSE MY MEDICATIONS! I take as prescribed and actually don't even take the percocets, I don't want to be addicted to that too. I won't go buy on the street, but I also don't need a substance abuse center! I need certain meds so I can function! Anybody able to advise where to go? Thanks!!! Appreciate ANY help!

Dr. Jeffrey Bado. He used to be a legitimate physician from 2000-2010, then he changed from a GP to a cash-only narc shop for addicts without any underlying history of injury.

Yes go to pen medicine.8th and spruose st see a doctor there and they will help you with your needs ,I am on Percocet for 11years and still on.

I am currently on a Watson 10/325 white 853 which does nothing for my pain. Before that it was Norco Bright Yellow pill #10/325 Hydrocodone and no relief at all. Before that it was Blue small round 15 oxycodonde, no relief then either. I do not know what to ask for anymore. I stay in pain from a Hip Replacement n need my other Hip Replaced. I think. It is mostly Arthritis. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO GET!!! I JUST DONT KNOW ANYMORE. I JUST WENT TO PMDr Tuesday. I called n they will see me Monday. WITH my pills I just filled, fine with me; But I do not know what to ask for. PLEASE HELP ME. I'M TIRED OF BULLS*** GENERICS. I'M TIRED OF PAIN.

Hey I would gladly appreciate you doctors name for my brother in law he can barely walk he has some kind of disease in his hips both are shredded he needs hip replacement lost his job and everything because he can't deal with the pain . I greatly appreciate it.

Did you find someone? Depending on where you are I heard there are a few specialist that are being referred patients from PCPs.

Will...that "Give it to God" thing is CRAP!!! I guess when you are lying there literally crying from the intensity of the constant intense pain, if you pray the pain away, poof, it'll just go away! And why are any of the people here on this website asking other people in chronic pain for help finding a doctor where they can get pain meds! Maybe we should all "Give it to God" and we will all be happy and well and pain free! So simple!....Just like you Will, a simple ****t! There is nothing wrong with having faith and believing in something, but unfortunately praying does not rid you of real pain, injuries and diseases!

I have a plate in back , busted shoulder n ankl n couple other injuries, my doc in phila of 17 yrs said he wants me to go to pain management , I get 2 shots in back n 1 in arm everymonth, plus meds but I need more help can't take the sleepless nights anymore or going into pain when I do anything

Heyl I am 27 years old and I struggle with lupus, fibromyalgia and I was in a bad car accident to where I now have a huge metal plate in my leg. So I'm in constant pain everyday. So I could really use that information. That would be very helpful and I would be ever so grateful. {edited for privacy}. I really do appreciate this very much.
