isthere 2 different kinds of pravastin tablets for colestrol, one with sodium and the other plain? please answer as soon as possible, really need to know. thank you ## No, the actual medication name is Pravastatin Sodium, the sodium designates the type of chemical salt that it is derived from, so the active ingredient in any medication that contains this drug, whether name brand or generic, would be Pravastatin Sodium. It is not, however, the same as the sodium you see in table salt or food products and is not something that you need to worry about. Some pharmacies or doctors might list it on the prescription as Pravastatin Sodium and some don't, but it is still the same medication. Are there any other questions?

What are the side effects of Niacin NF ## Niacin-NF contains Inositol Nicotinate, it is a supplement that is used as a vasodilator. As such, the side effects for it have not been studied, as has been down for regular prescription medications. Some Niacin products are known to cause flushing, however, this formulation is broken down much slower, so those incidences have been greatly reduced. Since it is also a vasodilator, this could result in your being more sensitive to heat and cold, in your extremities. Are there any other questions?

I have been experiencing aches and pains since starting Lipitor. Is this normal? ## Hi rob - Lipitor lists several side effects related to what you are experiencing. Headaches are the most common, along with possible chest / abdominal pain or arthritis in less than 10% of users. You can see the full list on the page for . If these continue then I would recommend that you report them to your prescribing physician ASAP, as they may decide to switch your medication or dosage. Hope this helps and good luck!
