I have been on vytorin for about 4 yrs. In the past year I have been haveing some really bad pains in the muscles in my arms just down from my shoulders. It is usually just when I wake up. I hadn't considered this as a side affect of vytorin untill I read sore muscles in this forum. I've had great results from vytorin and with the exception of it's outrageious price wouldn't mind staying on it.How can I test, without stoping it, if this is the cause of my sore muscles. Would that symptom come on after 3 yrs. or is it possible that vytorin is the cause. Thanks. Oh! is there a generic for vytorin? ## It is always possible for your body to change and for you to suddenly start experiencing different symptoms from a medication you have been on. Been on Trilipix for three years. Is it possible to develop side effects now. Muscle pain, leg aches, fatqiue. ## Yes, it's always possible for your body to change and to suddenly start experiencing unusual effects from a medication. Have you consulted your doctor? You should do so, as soon as possible, so they can help you determine if it is from the medication and what to do, if that is the case. ## Trilipix contains the active ingredient Fenofibric Acid. Back pain, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, heartburn or indigestion, nausea, sore throat, stomach upset, and upper respiratory tract infection appear to be the most common adverse effects reported with Fenofibric Acid. Other more serious side effects can include: "Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty bre...

I have higher levels of all components from Lipid Profile and low HDL. My total cholesterol is 370mg/dl. I started with Rozavel F 5 after 3weeks I have tremendous pain in my upper back and shoulder. I stopped Rozavel and had muscle relaxants. Then I re started after 2 weeks, I am suffering from continous pain in my triceps and biceps region, its untolerable. For the last 6months, I was on Crestor 20mg and had I was very comfortable. I will ask my doctor to shift me to Crestor, which is also Rosuvastatin 20mg ## If you keep taking medications that contain the same active ingredient, you will probably keep experiencing the same problems. Have you talked to your doctor about trying an alternative medication, such as Fenofibrate?

Lovallo is prescribed for lowering LDLs is Pivasta its equivalent? ## Pivasta (Pitavastatin) is used together with lifestyle changes (diet, weight-loss, exercise) to reduce the amount of fatty substances in your blood such as low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol ('bad cholesterol') and to increase the amount of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol ('good cholesterol'). I have not found specific details about Lovallo in regards to comparing the two drugs, so I'm unable to tell you if these two drugs are "equivalent" in that sense; but according to your description, both drugs do serve the same purpose. I hope this helps!

I started taking 20 mg of simvastatin about 6 days ago. I haven't had any problems except for a mild headache. But last night, something happened that is really freaking me out. I don't know if I should continue to take the medication. I took my pill after supper around 6 p.m. I went to bed around 11. As soon as I laid down, I felt a tightness in my chest and like I couldn't catch my breath. I don't have asthma and have never expereinced anything like this before. I felt like I couldn't take a deep breath. I also started yawning one after another for about 15 minutes. I read the leaflet for this drug that I received from the pharmacy. It listed shortness of breath and tightness in the chest as a sign of an allergic reaction? Should I take my pill tonight and see if i...

WHAT ARE THE COLOURS AND MARKINGS ON ASPAVOR 20 MG TABLETS ## Aspavor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. Unfortunately, it not available in the U.S. so we have no records of the description of the tablets. Have you tried checking with your local pharmacist? They should be able to let you know whether or not you have the correct tablets. Does anyone else have information on these pills?

I wake up with terrible muscle pain and run a fever and get cold shivers at night. The same simptoms I had when I got tick bite fever. I have just realised that it may be this medication. I also now get constipated. It is not a pleasant experience at all. I took Lipitor previously about 7 or 8 years ago and my liver was affected, so much so that I ended up in hospital with a complete blackout, did not even now the ambulance took me to hospital. I came round after about 3 hours in the hospital. at the time I started vomitting and my tummy was running. Since then I stopped taking anything for my high ch olestrol, I went for a check up for something else and the doctor discovered that my cholestrol was 10.7. But with these side effects I am cannot continue to take it. Why I have a suspicio...

I cannot write or paint normally because the muscles in my right hand dont function normally. The specialist diagnosed this condition as dystonia. I realise that this condition is most likely caused by my prolonged use of statins, firstly Zocor, then Lipitor and now Aspavor. I also have hemifacial spasm . I recently started a routine of massaging my face and discovered how very sore the muscles in my cheeks are. I have no doubt that the Aspavor has also contributed to this condition. I am also on Ezetrol . I take 20mg Aspavor and 10 mg Ezetrol and Ecotrin daily. I had carotid surgeries about 5 years ago and have a stent inserted in one of the arteries after it began closing up with cholesterol again. I am fed up with the muscle spasms and I want to take an alternative. I will appreciate...

I refilled my Equate antacid equivalent to Gaviscon which I have been using for years. The new tablets which have an imprint of G 128 are nothing like they have been. They are now somewhat gritty and have a mint flavor. The former tabs have little taste but for a slight sweetness. They are not gritty and evolve into almost a gel when chewed. ## Did you ask the Wal-Mart pharmacist about this? They may have changed the formulation of the Equate product. It is considered an over the counter product, which doesn't require a prescription, so they are really free to change some stuff about it, whenever they choose to do so.

Is there an oval - peach simvastatin pill 10 mg. put out by TEVA- with letters on one side only "S L" ? ## No, I can't find a Simvastatin pill that just has the SL imprint and Teva uses a 93, which is slowly being replaced with the name Teva on their products. There are, however, over the counter products available in the U.S. that are called Simply Sleep that use just the SL logo, they contain the active ingredient Diphenhydramine. Where was this pill found/obtained?

is there a canadian savings card for crestor like they have in the states they offer a 50.00 dollar savings so a person only has to pay about 18.00 ## In the U.S. a prescription for Crestor actually starts at around $155 USD, so they actually still end up paying over $100 if they don't have insurance. Drugs here are nowhere near as cheap as they are in Canada. And no, I'm sorry, but the only savings card I can find is only good in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Have you tried asking your doctor if there is a generic alternative that you can use?

4~ 3/8" orange pills were packed in a bottle of Atorvastatin pills which were small white ovals. One side had no markings and the other had 2084 over a V & they are scored for easily cutting. Just wonder how dangerous these may have been if my husband just happened to shake one out of the bottle. This was the first for this prescription so he could have easily just shook an orange instead of white pill out and not have known any different. Target pharmacy said to just bring them back, they figured they were caught in a cap that was all they said. ## The tablets with that marking contain 300mgs of Allopurinol, which is most commonly used to treat gout and they are nothing particularly dangerous, unless someone is allergic to the medication. However, you should definitely take the...

I take pills for high blood pressure and high chloresterol. ## Hi Lynd, Based on the description provided, I was unable to locate a match in the drug databases. But I did find another post on this forum from a user who said he confirmed the pill to be Simvastatin (40 mg). This would actually make sense though, since this medication is a hypolipidemic drug used to control elevated cholesterol, or hypercholesterolemia. You can view more information about this drug by following the link below: I hope this helps!
