I am taking Vytorin (Ezetimibe + Simvastatin) 40mg. What reaction will that have on my taking Isosorbide mononitrate ER 30mg? ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between The active ingredients in Vytorin and Isosorbide. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. With that said, because I am not a doctor, the most I can tell you is that from what I've read, these two medications are regarded as being safe to take together and shouldn't present any problems outside of the normal side effects associated with each medication. I hope this helps to answer your question!

I have high levels of Cholesterol would KurZyme lower my level of Cholesterol, ## Since Kurzyme is an over the counter supplement, and not a prescription drug, this, unfortunately, means it has not been tested for use with other prescription medications or medical conditions, or for side effects. According to the ingredients list, it contains Protease, Bromelain and Papain, however, as I said, supplements are not studied and tested like prescription drugs. They are touted to do a lot of things, but it's very hard to be certain. What has your doctor recommended that you use?

I have been prescribed Tonact 10 for lowering cholesterol. This has lowered my cholesterol and now the lipid profile is within the prescribed limits. But this medicine seems to have side effect of pain in body particularly in neck, shoulders and arms. On discussions with friends I was informed to reduce the potency of the drug to 25mg and take it on alternate days. This has worked and my pain in above parts of the body has disappeared to a great extent. My brother is taking what he called niastat or something similar. At first I thought he had said niacin. He said it was a vitiamin. Any idea. He eats a well balanced diet and takes a multiple vitiamin daily. I beleive he is over reliant on medications he doesn't need. we have discussed this and I told him I would find the answer. Thanks ## Niastat is just a slow acting form of Niacin. How much is he taking? What does his doctor think about it? If he's just taking it and a multivitamin, there really shouldn't be any harm, unless there are reasons that he shouldn't be taking them, which only his doctor can check for and advise him on.
