My brother is taking what he called niastat or something similar. At first I thought he had said niacin. He said it was a vitiamin. Any idea. He eats a well balanced diet and takes a multiple vitiamin daily. I beleive he is over reliant on medications he doesn't need. we have discussed this and I told him I would find the answer. Thanks

Niastat is just a slow acting form of Niacin.

How much is he taking? What does his doctor think about it?

If he's just taking it and a multivitamin, there really shouldn't be any harm, unless there are reasons that he shouldn't be taking them, which only his doctor can check for and advise him on.
