My prescription is for Atorec, anti-cholesterol meds which can be taken with or without food, and I am wondering whether "at night" means any time after 8 p.m.. ## Stations ruin your brain...the brain is made mostly of cholesterol... Why in the world can't people understand how that would greatly affect the brain??

Novo: just a oval pill with an imprint that says novo with no number or anything else on it AV40: smaller oval pill with AV40 imprinted on one side and a arrow like shape inprinted on the reverse side both are white ## Hello, Cody! How are you? If I remember correct, these both containing 40mgs of Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. Can anyone confirm this? The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headaches and joint/muscle aches.

Good day, I have been on Zuvamor 40mg for almost a year now, wasn't feeling well so they changed it to Storwin 40mg. Stil not feeling better. All of these statin medications that are used to help lower cholesterol carry the risk of causing the same side effects, which the U.S. FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. It might be better if you speak to your doctor to see what other alternatives you have. Have you tried lowering your cholesterol with diet and exercise?

I am on Aspovor 80mg per day for cholesterol. Can I take a magnesium supplement concurrently? ## Hello, Richard! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between the two, so it should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. I have been on Lovastain for three years. My eyes are itching like crazy. I itch all over at night. Has anybody else had this problem? ## Hello, Sherry! How are you? I don't see anything about the itchy eyes, but this medication is reported by the FDA as being known to cause the all over body itching. I am 79 yrs old & had been in excellent health until a heart attack in January 2014 requiring 3 stints. Then in early April I had a mild stroke & 1 week later had 2 seizures-wherein I fractured a vertabrae & had kyphoplasty. I take atorvastatin 20mg (1 daily)clopidogrel 75 MG (1 daily) metformin 500 mg, Lisinopril 10 mg (1 daily) and just started Levetirecta 500 mg- twice daily. I have begun to have excruciating stomach aches. Stomach Xray & ultra sound revealed no internal organ issues. I have recently started taking generic Lipitor made by Ranbaxy and I'm experiencing tinnitus. Has anyone else experienced this?? ## These statin medications are notorious for causing odd problematic side effects in a fairly large percentage of people that try them. Learn more Lipitor details here. It can take about a month for your body to adjust to the medication and for such side effects to start tapering off in severity. If it doesn't, or if it gets worse, then you should notify your doctor. How bad is it? ## It's been about 3 weeks and the intensity fluctuates. I used H. Last Sat. I been takin. Niacin for 3 days and drinking redbull and cranberry juice because its an antioxidant. Last time I failed I failed 4 days after with a faint line. I have had raised cholesterol for years and was changed to Vytorin about 12 months ago. I am now on 10/80. I have been under a neurologist for years about "unexplained white matter" on my brain. For the past few months when med was raised, I have had tingling in arms legs and down the side of my face. I feel very unbalanced and "off with the fairies" at times and know that I am just not right. Thinking and memory has been effected.
