Hello, Tom! How are you?
The manufacturer, Merck, does have an assistance program for this medication. Normally, it is for those who don't have insurance, but they specifically state that if you need a medication and have insurance, but have financial and/or medical hard ship, you can request that they make an exception and they'll be happy to help, if they can. You can contact them for more information by calling 800-727-5400 from 8am to 8pm EST, Monday thru Friday.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, stuffy nose and joint/muscle pain.
Is there anything else I can help with?
