I am experiencing heart palpitations and shortness of breath. Thickening of my tongue at times too. Pain in my back and chest. Tingling in my limbs and my ears are ringing. Should i continue with the medication? ## Hello, Amz! How are you feeling? Has there been any change in your symptoms? Most of what you've mentioned are listed as being possible side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA. Except the tongue thickening, that's not normal and may be indicative of a bad reaction to this medication. Have you informed your doctor? You may need to try something else.
I have just been prescribd to take ont tab per day to bring down the level of total chlestro which is now around 230. Can anyone tell me the side reactions of taking this. Any idea what it might be? ## WIthout knowing the numbers, it is going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains, there are several manufactured by Teva that use their logo and meet this description. Just doing a quick, random search popped up 5 different possibilities. Just as an example, there is one round, peach colored tablet that says TEVA on one side and has the numbers 771 on the other, which contains 10mgs of Pravastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. I've been taking simvastatin 20mg for 2 years. They were peach, round, and small. Now it's brick red, round and larger, with 199 on one side of the pill and RDY on the other side. I have been taking this medication for 5 years. In the past 5 years I have been to neurologists, rheumatologists, chiropractors, physical therapy, accupuncture, MRI's and the list goes on and on. I have been told I have all kinds of things wrong something different from every doctor. The pain in all my joints especially hips and back and neck was so bad my muscles would quiver and I would be nauses. My father has been taking lipikind since last 12 years. Now, since last 2 years, He's suffering from Liver swelling even he has no bad habits such as drinking, smoking etc. He'd left taking it for a while. In that period, there's a positive response from liver and it function well. But there is an increase in Cholesterol levels. So, he started to take Lipikind again & again there's the same problem occurs with the liver. Is any other generic should be taken instead of Atorvastatin so that liver functions well? Please suggest.
