Dear Sir/Madam, My mother is a heart patient. Her age is 58. As per the doctor advice she is taking inapure 5 along with Ecosprine 150 and nitrolong 2.6. After taking 4 month she stopped the inapure 5. After 4 days she suddenly feel pain in her chest. So should we continue the inapure 5. ## What has her doctor advised? Did he tell her to stop the Inapure? It contains the active ingredient Ivabradine, which is a cardiotonic medication that's commonly used to treat angina. My prior prescription said I could take without regard to food. The new one said take on an empty stomach. Both are 180 mg. ## Based on information I've gathered, Cardizem CD is just another brand name of Diltiazem XT (as they both contain the same active ingredient). Diltiazem is said to be the generic version, however both medications are reported to come in a 24-hour sustained-release capsule. i have angina and daily suffer chest pains. i have been prescribed nitromin spray by my doctor but cannot use the same due to the most severe headaches this immediately results after one spray of nitromin (the headaches are unbearable) can you advise if there is an alternative to nitromin spray? thank you in advance for your kind reply ## Have you consulted your doctor about seeing if there's something you can use for the headaches? original perscription for Cardizem 1st generic given diltiazem er 240mg cap last refilled with diltiaz cd 249/24 is this all the same med? ## Yes, they are all the same medication, 240mgs of Diltiazem in a controlled release formulation that's meant to be taken every 24 hours, they are just manufactured by different companies. Even the abbreviations mean the same thing, though they look different. The ER stands for extended release and the CD is for controlled dosage, but both designate that it is a time released formulation of the medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have taken this pill before bedtime to keep my blood presure down for about 5 months after i had a stroke now i have a sore ankle when i walk or stand on it could this be one of the side effects? ## Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker and yes, there is a possibility that it is causing the problem, by causing some fluid retention in your ankle. Hi Ladies and Gents, Please i have been nursing angina pains for the past two - three years now. I have been religiously taking my recommended tablet (Nitromin) tablet 5 mg initially and currently the Nitromin Spray. My concern is that this medication no longer has good control as it was before. I've have been prescribed Cardizem CD 240 mg once a day for BP - the generic name is (Diltiazem CD). I was taking metroprolol 50 mg twice a day for about 18 months and was experiencing hair loss so the doctor moved me to Cardizem CD. Has anyone experienced hair loss while taking Cadizem CD? ## I haven't taken the medication, so I have no personal experience with it, but hair loss can still be a side effect of the Diltiazem, though it is not known to be a very common one. How severe was the hair loss?

I recently had an angiogram in which it was found that I had a minor arterial blockage for which isosorb 30mg was prescribed. This drug worked fine for 30 days, but when refilled by a different pharmacy isosorbide mono 30mg was provided. After the first dose, I had this hard to describe upper respiritory sensation, which kept me awake, and I also developed intense pain in my right hip, leaving me hardly able to walk. The two pills look different - the first is pink and oblong while the second is round and white with a mark across the middle as if intended to be cut in half. I am not finding anything that says it causes kidney damage, but there is no way to say how it can affect any given person that takes it. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? If you have existing kidney damage, the dosage does have to be carefully adjusted.

what is the diltiazem equivalent for cartia 240 mg ## There is no conversion necessary, Diltiazem is the active ingredient in Cartia, so you'd still need a 240mg dosage. im taking pritor plus 40, still im getting chest pain going up to my jaw almost to the point i collapse. these past few days i felt the same and almost giving up not to take the medicine, still i didnt discontinue i need to burf to ease the pain, again the pain would came back. pls do advice me , im scared of having a heart attack. thanks so much.
