I take ramipril 7.5mg in morning about 7-30am. dr says to take same dose at 10-00pm same day and keep taking at night there after. is this safe. i have only been on propranolol for about 2 weeks now but i feel like i need to stop taking it as ive read and heard it can be dangerous. i take 2 x 40mg a day. i am only on it to stop the symptoms of my hyperactive thyroid so its not anything bad to do with my heart. ive read online that coming off them suddenly may result in angina or heart problems so i dont want to risk it. has anyone got any advice on how to gradually come off them? i was thinking of taking half of one twice a day instead so it would be 20mg twice a day which is half of what i take now. would that be a good way to do it or has anyone got any other solutions? i am a 17 year old female with type 1 diabetes as well. thanks! ## Hello, Jasmin! I am taking hydrochlorothiazide 25mg once a day along with Losartan, also 25 mg. Should I take these together at the same time or should I take them at different times of the day for the best effect? I was prescribed to take Nitrocortin 5 mg and korandil 2.6 mg along with ecosprin 75 mg. I am unable to get korandil. I am taking the other two pills regularly. I am 64 yr old female with HTN. ACE inhibitors caused severe muscle weakness, can't take Calcium Channel Blockers d/t GERD, so MD finally tried ARBs: Losartan Potassium caused paresthesia and PVCs (symptoms vanished right after drug dc'd). Then Rx'd HCTZ alone with good efficacy but d/t elevated readings in MD office, was changed to Micardis and HCTZ. Paresthesia returned. Micardis stopped, (back to HCTZ only), but paresthesia continues even after off Micardis x 6 weeks. How long can it take for paresthesia to stop? ## After 6 weeks it should have started to improve, already, unless some permanent nerve damage has been done, or if it's also being affected by the HCTZ, since it can also cause it as a side effect. The last 2 batches of Walmart origin IG 238 amlodipine besylate 5 mg has caused an adverse reactions of ankle swelling, pain and mild constipation. What's different? side effects of 25mg ## Lisinopril is used to lower and control high blood pressure. The side effects of high blood pressure medication aren't nearly as threatful as hypertension itself. I started on Clonidine about 2 years ago for high blood pressure o.1. It was causing constipation,so I just quit taking it ,Within a week I started having bad headaches, so I went on line and realized my mistake. I went back on it and visited Dr, who told me to stay back on it. My problem is that I am experiencing some bad headchesf or the past two weeks. They come out of nowhere. If I take 100mg of Losartan at 6:00 am can I take it again at 4:00pm? I am currently taking 10mg of Amlodipine but it does not work as well as I want it to. If you were taking it to treat high blood pressure, or edema, it may not be safe for you to just stop it, unless your doctor has approved. Wanted a generic for Diovan because the cost became prohibitive. Have not started the Losartan yet. What are the differences in these 2 pills, if any. ## Both drugs are in the same class of medication. They are both ARB's (angiotensen II receptor blockers.) They just have slightly different chemical structures. A dose of Losartan 25mg is approximately equivalent to Diovan 40mg as far as dosing goes. It should work as well as Diovan in lowering your blood pressure. If it does not, Avapro (another ARB) is also available generically. ## I'm taking Diovan 160MG and Losartan 100mg together. My blood pressure is high. Is it because I'm taking both of these meds daily?

I am 71 and have been taking blood pressure tablets for a number of years. I used to be on atenolol 50mg with no problems but about 18 months ago I was changed to amlodopine5mg. I seem to be suffering with a kind of asthma now, could this be related to the change and is there any reason that I couldnt ask my doctor to return me to atenolol ## Peter Iam 57 and have been on atenolol 100mg for 15 yrs and can tell if I'm not taking this I also take benzipril 40 mg. That isn't a dangerous amount to take, unless it would interact with some other medication that you're taking, or it your heart rate and blood pressure are already very low, you had an allergy to it, or some other issue. However, you should be sure to watch for any danger signs, such as extreme dizziness, drowsiness, lowered heart rate, and shallow breathing. And, when in doubt, it is always best to check with your doctor, or a local emergency services.
