I am having a cat scan in the morning but I missed my overnight dosage. Would that affect the test in the morning if I take only one Metoprolol? ## No, missing one dose should not effect the results of you CT scan. You can inform them, just to be safe, but being that recent, it shouldn't change anything. Metoprolol is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, hypotension, and increased urination. Ref: Metoprolol Information Is there anything else I can help with?

I just want to know if an overdose of Azor 2mg or 1mg can kill a person? I asking on behalf of a friend she is worried that she overdoses ## Hello, Jane! How is your friend doing? Did she suffer any adverse effects? And overdose of anything has the potential to be fatal. When it concerns a medication, such as this one, it may cause respiratory depression, as well as depression of the central nervous system, according to the NIH. Initial symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, severe dizziness, drowsiness, and shallow breathing.... if these symptoms go to far, it may result in overdose, and possibly death. ## How much azor 0.5 would be enough to kill an adult? ## Azor 0.5mg only makes me slp for 3 hours. If i take 15 will anything happen. ## How many stilnox 10 mg How many urbanol 10 mg. ...

I took a double dose of my Carvedilol 3.125mg and my Atorvastatin 20mg by accident and need to know if this could possibly hurt me as I have congestive heart failure? ## I accidentally took my Carvederol Bllod Pressure medicine at 9 pm and 11 pm can that hurt me ## @Sue & Debbie, Sorry to hear about the mishap. I noticed that it's been several weeks since the timing of this incident... How are you two feeling at the moment? Did either of you ever end up experiencing any unusual side effects or had to go to the emergency room? Generally in cases like this, the best thing to do is contact your doctor immediately and/or poison control just to be on the safe side. For your own peace of mind, their hotline # is 1-800-222-1222. My theory is that if this was only a one time occurrence ...

I started with 100 mg twice per day of labetalol HCl. I immediately became so dry that I couldn't talk without a bottle of water. My doctor cut dosage in half and added Benicar to the cocktail. I had an allergic reaction to benicar. It was replaced with 40 mgs. of lisinapril. Not strong enough. Need any suggestions. ## Hello, Belle! How are you? The dry mouth from the Labetalol will usually wear off after a month or so, once your body gets used to the medication. It annoyed me, at first, too. However, having been on it for awhile now, it is no longer a problem, at all. So, if it was helping your blood pressure, then you might want to go back to a higher dose of it and just wait it out for awhile. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Is there an...

I was taking Micardis tablets with no problems until my Kidney specialist changed me to Zanidip.(something to do with calcium levels) but since then I started feeling unwell started with ear pain and inflammation of the throat glands now it's like I'm having an immune reaction to everything. I changed to Amlodipine tablets with no relief, went on a strict low histamine diet with no relief so brings me back to these calcium channel blockers. Are these tablets the cause of me getting worse Any suggestions?? as I'm sick of going to the Drs and getting no where. ## Hi Kaz, not sure if you are stil looking at this site. I am allergic to propylene glycol. I cannot find a drug mfr. who does not put it into metoprololBett ## Hi Betty, From what I could gather, it looks like all of the Metoprolol tablets (including the Canadian version) either contain Polyethylene glycol or Propylene glycol; both of which are considered toxic substances. You might want to inquire about this with a compounding pharmacy. I'm not completely familiar with their policies, but it's possible that they may be able to create a formula of Metoprolol that fits your individual needs. Something worth looking into for sure. Does anyone know why they actually use propylene glycol in tablets when it's primary use is for antifreeze? ## Antifreeze is ethylene glycol. Not the same thing.

My pharmacy changed my losartan so now I get ones manufactured by Aurobindo. I have celiac and am trying to pin down why I feel I've been "glutened". Do you know if this manufacturer uses gluten? ## KLJ, Here is a list of ingredients listed in Losartan manufactured by Aurobindo. (NDC 65862-201 among others) - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Lactose Monohydrate - Starch, Corn - Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Low Substituted - Magnesium Stearate - Hydroxypropyl Cellulose - Hypromellose 2910 (6 Mpa.s) - Titanium Dioxide - Fd&c Blue No. 2 - D&c Yellow No. 10 - Water Even though gluten a derive ingredient is not on that list, I would still check up with your primary care physician to ensure that none of the ingredients here will cause you to feel "glutened". It's alwa...

I was wondering if I can safely take CB1 along with prescription drugs? ## Can I take CB 1 pills even I'm taking a Blood Pressure medicine like Losartan ? ## Since it is an over the counter supplement that is not FDA approved, there have not been any studies done regarding its safety when combined with prescription medications. The main issue here is do you really need to gain weight? As in, are you underweight, right now? Since you mentioned Losartan and high blood pressure, it is very important that you know it is not safe to gain excess weight, when you have such a cardiac condition, because extra weight is very taxing on your heart and circulatory system, so it could worsen such a condition, and cause new ones to occur. The American Heart Association has some great information a...

I accidentally took my morning medicine again tonight. That is 2 doses of amlodipine and losartan. What can happen? ## Generally, it is not dangerous, if only done on the rare occasion, but it can vary from person to person, so it is always best to inform your doctor to be sure. The FDA does warn that doubling up may cause you to experience more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects? ## I accidently took a 5 mg and a 10 mg Amlodipine with my losartan I was in a hurry this morning then put fishing and bout 3 hours ago every time I stood up I felt like I was gonna pass out and dizzy I will never make that mistake again just got home feel crappy but my bp is 115/73 and heart rate 85...

I was taking Twynsta.. which was a combination of 10 mg amlodipine and 80 mg telmisartan for about 5 yrs. I didn't realize that amlodipine had so many side effects which I have been experiencing. Back, side, stomach pain, ankles swelling, muscle weakness and the list goes on.. My Dr took me off the amlodipine a couple days ago. I'm experiencing increased pain in body, legs, ankles. After reading different comments and sites, they warn against stopping suddenly. I'm worried. Dr did not advise or mention withdrawal. Should I be concerned? ## Are you still taking some other medication? Hi, is it safe to go from 50 to 100 mg of Metoprolol? ## Yes, such an increase is commonly done, when a patient hasn't fully seen improvement from the lower dosage. Here's some Metoprolol dosing information. However, the dosage should only be increased if a doctor has instructed the patient to do so. Metoprolol may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, hypotension, and increased urination. Is there anything else I can help with?

Since my pharmacy switched to Solco as the supplier of my Wellbutrin I have had all the symptoms, for which I was taking Wellbutrin, return. Has anyone else experienced this problem? ## Hello, Deb0724! How are you? As set forth in the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, there can be fluctuations in the amount of active ingredients in generic medications, they are allowed to differ from the name brands by as much as plus or minus 20% and they only have to measure against the name brand, not other generics. Thus, it is highly possible that one may have a little more of the active ingredient, while a different one may be slightly lower. Can anyone else that's taken the one from Solco chime in with their experience? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including n...

So I was prescribed Metoprolol for high BP and have taken it for a total of about 8 years. It was horrible in the beginning - weird, vivid nightmares, constant fatigue, weight gain..but I kept on because I thought that I had to for my BP. Probably a bad decision. My dosage has been as high as 100mg in the beginning, and was gradually lowered by the doctor over the years. Most recently for about the last year I had taken a half of a 25mg per day, so a pretty low dose. I started to feel as if this medicine was hurting more than helping so I asked the doctor who said that I could wean off. So I did for about two weeks - a half of a 25mg every other day, then stopped. The last pill I took was about two months ago. I still feel as if I'm having withdrawal, but is that still possible two ...
