I have been taking amlodenk 10mg for a month now and I have started experiencing swelling on my ankles. Is it possible that I am experiencing side effect of this drug? ## Amlo-Denk contains the active ingredient Amlodipine. From what I could gather, "swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of this medication. Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a692044.html#side-effects To my understanding, these types of side effects may not go away until you stop taking what's causing them to manifest in the first place. For that reason I'd strongly recommend contacting your doctor as soon as your able to, in hopes of finding a safer alternative to Amlodipine. Have you had this reaction with any other blood pressure medications in t...

Hi. I am 30 days clean from opiate withdrawal. I spent my 1st 3 weeks on methadone and zopiclone and now changed to suboxone and azor 1mg. I'm getting bad headaches in the mornings since starting the azor. Is azor a bad combination with suboxone? It's my 1st time taking azor 1mg, but I fell it really does help with sleeping and anxiety. It's also the 1st time after 5 years that I have now stopped opiates. I am 60 years old. I have replaced amlodipine 5 mg with Telma 40 three months ago. Since then for the first time in my life my blood sugar has gradually increased up to 115 on fasting. It was always below 100. Can you advise me whether it is the side effect of Telma 40 or not? ## It is very doubtful, 115 is not usually a concerning number that causes a diagnosis of diabetes. The NIH lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Have you shown any other symptoms of diabetes? What has your doctor advised? Usually blood sugars from 80 to 120 are considered normal.

I'm sorry, but it is hard to provide you with accurate information, without knowing more specifics. Can you please post back and clarify? Depending on the new medication, it could take a couple weeks to a month, or more, since most medications in this class can cause these symptoms as side effects, according to the FDA. However, things may be different if they gave you a medication that helps remove the fluid that is causing the edema. ## My Dr switched me to METOPROLOL 25 MG per day. It brought my bp down...

I have been on Carvedilol since December. It's better than Bisoprolol was. My side effects still are sometimes I get so cold I can't get warm no matter how many blankets I have on me, etc. Wheezing after walking a short distance, I never used to have that. Some days I feel down right useless. I felt so much better before beta blockers. Is there anything that won't cause wheezing? Currently I'm on 6.25 mg twice a day. Oh and I have no libido, I told my husband I'm gonna buy him a dead fish! ## I had the same issues, when taking Carvedilol, though I didn't have a husband then, so that part wasn't a concern. But the FDA does list these issues as being common side effects. However, due to being cold so often, I finally had to switch to Losartan. The U.S. FDA list...
My doc . Prescribed Telma am after the By Pass to control BP but the BP was around 165/85. So he changed to Telma 40. The BP is still 170/ 85. Now he has again advised me to shift to Telma am. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. What are your current readings? Has there been any change?
I received a new prescription for lisinopril 10mg. The bottle said Lisinopril 10 mg tablet lup previously and was a small round pink tablet. The new prescirption does not say lup after tablet and is an oval pink pill with #101 on it. Is this the same medicine. My pharmacist did not mention anythiing to me about it. ## The reason it doesn't say LUP after the pill is because that is the abbreviation for the manufacturer and your new tablet is made by a different company. It is, however, the same medication and the same dosage. Lisinopril is used to help lower blood pressure. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. read more: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I've taken 10 mg Lisinopril from Lupin for 15 years. Were you on any other medications at the time? What types of symptoms are you experiencing, now? Has there been any change?
Can I take these two tablets in the morning together (Losartan 50mg and Amlodipine 5mg)? ## Yes, they can be taken together, as long as they have both been prescribed for you. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Multiple medications are often prescribed to try to bring someone's blood pressure down as fast and safely as possible, or to gain control of a cardiac condition. For example I take 2, Labetalol for high blood pressure, and Losartan for heart function. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hello, dear doctor. I'm 65 years old and I was using Tritace 10 mg (1 daily), Natrilix SR 1.5 mg (1/2 or 1 daily) and Noten 50 mg (1/2 daily) for my high blood pressure for the past 8 years. Now the cardiologist asked me to change to Coveram 10/5, because my medications are too old now. After 10 days taking Coveram I noticed that my average blood pressure from 137/81 became 134/78 which is almost the same, but my pulse increased from 64 to 75 (in average). What is the normal pulse should be in my age? And can I stay on Coveram only or add Noten (1/4 or 1/2 tablet) with it? Or get back to previous medications? Your opinion is very important to me. Thank you. Kind Regards, Jack ## I live in Australia, New South Wales, Sydney. I concern about the pulse. After I started Coveram it became...
