I have a white pill with apo on one side and a line threw it, then m50. I would like to know what it's for? ## Apotex Canada lists this tablet as containing 50mgs of Metoprolol, which is used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. I have been taking amlodenk 10mg for a month now and I have started experiencing swelling on my ankles. Is it possible that I am experiencing side effect of this drug? ## Amlo-Denk contains the active ingredient Amlodipine. From what I could gather, "swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of this medication. Metoprolol succ er 50 mg. I am prone to severe rashes & hives from several medications. I am reluctant to start this new Med for hypertension because rashes & hives are frightful. What is likelihood of a similar reaction? If yes, what can I do ? Will it diminish after time if I continue to take it? ## If such reactions are due to an allergy, they tend to get worse with repeated exposure, so you should consult a doctor, if they manifest, according to NIH reports. I have been taking ASOMEX - 2.5mg AND NEBILONG-H for over six months for blood pressure control but I have not got clear information about their long term side effects on my health given that I am a blood pressure patient for the last 38 years. Hi. I am 30 days clean from opiate withdrawal. I spent my 1st 3 weeks on methadone and zopiclone and now changed to suboxone and azor 1mg. I'm getting bad headaches in the mornings since starting the azor. Is azor a bad combination with suboxone? It's my 1st time taking azor 1mg, but I fell it really does help with sleeping and anxiety. It's also the 1st time after 5 years that I have now stopped opiates. I am 60 years old. I have replaced amlodipine 5 mg with Telma 40 three months ago. Since then for the first time in my life my blood sugar has gradually increased up to 115 on fasting. It was always below 100. Can you advise me whether it is the side effect of Telma 40 or not? ## It is very doubtful, 115 is not usually a concerning number that causes a diagnosis of diabetes. what is Metropole Tartrate - small, pink pill with C 74 imprinted on it used for? ## This tablet does NOT contain Metoprolol, this tablet contains Amlodipine and Olmesartan, it is a generic for Azor, this is used to help control high blood pressure. I have been on Carvedilol since December. It's better than Bisoprolol was. My side effects still are sometimes I get so cold I can't get warm no matter how many blankets I have on me, etc. Wheezing after walking a short distance, I never used to have that. Some days I feel down right useless. I felt so much better before beta blockers. Is there anything that won't cause wheezing? Currently I'm on 6.25 mg twice a day. My doc . Prescribed Telma am after the By Pass to control BP but the BP was around 165/85. So he changed to Telma 40. The BP is still 170/ 85. Now he has again advised me to shift to Telma am. Which is better of the two. Kindly advises.K.Mehta ## You should follow your doctor's instructions regarding which medication to take. I received a new prescription for lisinopril 10mg. The bottle said Lisinopril 10 mg tablet lup previously and was a small round pink tablet. The new prescirption does not say lup after tablet and is an oval pink pill with #101 on it. Is this the same medicine. My pharmacist did not mention anythiing to me about it. ## The reason it doesn't say LUP after the pill is because that is the abbreviation for the manufacturer and your new tablet is made by a different company. Jan 2016 in hosp thought I had pneumonia found out both lungs were hemoraging. Had to have 4 chemo administered.drs said it was caused by hydrazaline. Went to dr for last chemo. Got up on table finished exam. Started to get down. 3 tiered stairs came loose from wall. Fell back and left ankle caught in 2nd step. Broke left ankle.fell on hip and grow vertebra in back. Not a supporter of hydrazaline. Hello, dear doctor. I'm 65 years old and I was using Tritace 10 mg (1 daily), Natrilix SR 1.5 mg (1/2 or 1 daily) and Noten 50 mg (1/2 daily) for my high blood pressure for the past 8 years.Now the cardiologist asked me to change to Coveram 10/5, because my medications are too old now. After 10 days taking Coveram I noticed that my average blood pressure from 137/81 became 134/78 which is almost the same, but my pulse increased from 64 to 75 (in average).
