Been taking metoprolol 25mg tartrate twice daily and by the time I go to bed and fall asleep by bloodpressure spikes during the night. Don't know if the meds have worn off during the night or if I should be taking another pill before bed. Tried to get a hold of my doctor but he is out on vacation. Does any one else have this same problem. I can tell my bp was high cause when I wake in the morning my eyes are blood shot. ## High blood pressure only rarely causes blood shot eyes, it is especially doubtful if it only happens when you are sleeping and goes away. Coz I have a sister who has just recently been prescribed Amvasc BE 10mg coz her BP is high. ## Amvasc Be contains the active ingredient Amlodipine, helping control high blood pressure is a very common use for it. As to its effectiveness, fr some people it is very effective, but there are always some people that it does not work for. I was given Bezide tab for high blood pressure and need to know what the side effects are. Is there a natural cure for hypertension? ## I believe the best way to naturally control high blood pressure is to have the majority of foods that are consumed, be rich in antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acid, protein and fiber. I am not an MD, but I have personally dealt with hypertension for a long time until I made this change in my diet. I hope this information leads you in right direction. I was recently diagnosed with severe high blood pressure. I went to a new doctor since I'm new to the area. He put me on Caduet 5mg/10mg once daily and clonidine 0.1mg twice daily. The Caduet was just for seven days, as it supposedly brings the BP down right away, as the clonidine takes longer. After the week, the dr. had me quit the Caduet and increase the clonidine to two 0.1mg tablets twice daily. I was scared to double the dosage, as the one tablet twice daily dose was making me extremely tired, and made me short of breath - hard to explain how that felt/feels. I wasn't sure how much was the Caduet or the clonidine, though. The first day I took the two clonidine tablets in the morning, I was okay for about an hour and a half, then got so dizzy I thought I was going to faint ...

I Was taking Felodur 2.5 mg without any trouble, My doctor increased it to 5mg I am now getting bad headache and nausea, Can anyone tell me if this is a common side effect and if it will pass thank you.
