Can this medication cause swelling? or Water retention I went on two new medication and not sure which one is causing the swelling although I always have problems with edima I seemed to have it under control this medication and on other was given to me. ## What is the other medication you are on? It is a medicinefor high blood-pressure. it is a small capsule, white in colour and manufactured by Lupin Ltd. ## Ramistar is not a product of the US, however I did locate its active ingredient to be Ramipril. Would like to know the manufacturer's name and place of origin. In other words, is it manufactured in the U.S. ## Since it is a generic, there are several manufacturers, so I can't answer your question without more information. Does the bottle list a manufacturer? Or, are there any markings on the tablets in question? They would be the only person that can advise you on whether or not it would be safe to discontinue the medication. My Pharmacy switched my prescription from the green pills that are Oval shape to these pink pills that are round and are not as effective with the control of my high blood pressure. A friend left some pills at our home. I have ided all but several small round blue pills with P 40 on one side. What are they? ## Is there a chance that these pills are more green colored and not much blue? The P 40 are on the same side with a horizontal score line in between. If this sounds correct to you, I may have matched your pills to be Propranolol Hydrochloride (40 mg). I took Metoprolol tartrate tabs 50 mg,mfg by greenstone, is this the same drug? ## The 25mg would be a lower dosage and the ER designates the 25mg one as being a time released formulation. Metoprolol is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions, Did your doctor make this change in the dosing and formulation? Such changes shouldn't be made, without your doctor's approval, because sudden changes to the dosing of this medication may cause rebound effects, which could include elevated heart rate and blood pressure.

Please tell me the difference between cardibeta tablets & cardibeta 'xr' tablets? ## They both contain the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and various cardiac conditions. The only different is that the XR designates the one as being a time released formulation. is it better to take as low a dosage of coveram as possible which will lower my bp ## Coveram contains Perindopril and Amlodipine and it is used to help lower and control high blood pressure. As to the dosage, you should use whatever dosage your doctor has suggested. If your blood pressure is high, it is necessary to bring it down, as soon as possible. Depending on your levels, that may require a higher dose, for awhile, to bring it down fast. Your doctor should be monitoring you regularly, that way once it does come down to more normal levels, they will be able to see if the medication is taking it too low or just maintaining it there and they can then adjust your dosage accordingly. Have you consulted your doctor on this, yet?

taking Lisinopril hctz 20/25. precription says take 1 every morning. my BP is often higher again by evening (150's/90's sometimes). Is it safe to take another dose in evenings? Does chewing the pill get it in my system faster? round peach tablet with B03 front & LL on back. ## It is not a good idea to adjust the dose, without your doctor or pharmacists instructions. Especially since this also contains the Hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic, too much of it could result in dehydration and other serious conditions, such as Hyponatremia. i have just been put on lisinopril 10mg,but after reading about it, am scared to take it, because i take aspirin once a while for body ache and also take FLAX OIL omega 3 daily,can i still go ahead with the prescription? the doctor said its okay, just want a second opinion. ## Hi, I've been on Lisinopril 10 mg. for at least 5 years.
