Please tell me the difference between cardibeta tablets & cardibeta 'xr' tablets?

They both contain the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and various cardiac conditions. The only different is that the XR designates the one as being a time released formulation.

Rather than releasing all of the medication, at once, it is slowly released to help better control your medical condition.
