On Norvasc, 7.5 mgs., and Zebeta 5mg, for HBP. Can't take diuretcs ## Hello, Arlene! How are you? I am sorry about the problem that you're having. Why can't you take diuretics? Alternative, you will like need to switch one of the medications and try something else. The Norvasc has been known to cause such edema, so it is the most likely culprit that you'll need to stop and replace. How long have you been taking it?

My husband possibly overdosed on loratab and morohine. I was at work for ten hours so didn't know he is breathing OK and blood pressure is good will he be ok ## Hello, Anna! How is he? Did he suffer any adverse effects? Once again, I just want to post for everyone that if you fear that someone's life may be in danger, please do not post on a free website and wait for an answer. While there are always people like me who are happy to help, if we can, we cannot administer life saving procedures, if they would be necessary. Anytime this happens, you should contact poison control or take them to your nearest emergency treatment facility.

Small round white pill scored on one side and Z7 on the other. Came in a clear baggy with the letter A 1Mg #100 marked on it. Was sold for insomnia. Bought in Belize City ## Bought the same thing in Belize. Sold as Adivan. Not sure what it really is. ## The closest match I'm finding with an actual imprint of Z 7, is a white round pill identified as Amlodipine besylate (2.5mg). However, there doesn't appear to be a score line on these particular tablets... and the "Z" & "7" are on opposite sides as well. Unfortunately when it comes to medications brought back from overseas, it's often a lot more difficult to locate a match using US drug resource pages, since they are less likely to contain any info on something from another country. But if you are able to ...

I have been taking this medicine for a short while. The firat 30 days my no was well controlled but I've had a serious backache for about 2 weeks. At refill, it was switched to another brand, North star Rx LL. My bp is again staying elevated, 150/95 consistently, and the backache is gone. Is it possible that I got a bad batch? ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? It is rather difficult to say, it could be that it's just not working well for you. What type of foods do you eat? Do you watch your sodium? How much fluid do you drink each day? Are you on any other medications? Do you get lots of exercise? Have you spoken to the prescribing doctor about it?

Change of color (blue to white) on my Verapamil ER 240mg, markings are 73/00, blue ones were M11 on the front. ## Hello, Gladys! How are you? Yes, it is the same medication, just made by a different manufacturer. It's very common for a pharmacy to do this. They often switch depending on which company was offering the lowest price, when they needed to restock their supply. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Developed bronchitis, breathing problems on mild exertion, excess musous. Had several courses of antibiotics, chest xrays to check for pneumonia. Finally referred to a pulmonary specialist and put on an inhaler for "wheezing" and maybe asthma. He wants to do a CAT scam now. My daughter researched and thinks it may be the Coreg. My GP switched me to another drug and within less than two days I noticed by balance and dizziness has improved. ## Hi, Leon! Sorry about the medical issues you're having. And yes, it very well could have been due to the Coreg, it contains the active ingredient Carvedilol and it has been known to cause some problematic side effects in some people that take it. I was on it for awhile and it caused very bad Raynaud's and made me miserable. It works ...

What is the difference between metropolol M100 and M3? I have 2 prescriptions (I thought for the same thing) from 2 difference pharmacies and they are two different pills. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? They are both the same medication, just manufactured by different companies. This is common with generics, they are made by several different companies, it creates market competition to help keep prices down for uninsured patients. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, headache, dizziness and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

What time of day is best for taking this medication? ## Hi Sharon, The manufacturer guidelines vaguely state that you should only take one dose of Lotrel a day; but does not give specific time frames. That said, I can only speculate that timing is solely up to you (the patient). Additional dosing indications note the following: -Take each dose with a full glass of water. -Amlodipine and benazepril can be taken with or without food. -If you are being treated for high blood pressure, keep using this medication even if you feel fine. High blood pressure often has no symptoms. -Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Person...

I just saw on t.v. that certain medications shouldn't be taken with acidic drinks. Is metoprolol Tarta 50mg one of these drugs? I am a 2-cups-a-morning coffee drinker. ## Hello, Gary! How are you? I'm not sure what you saw on TV, but I have never heard anything like that. If a medication shouldn't be taken with something due to possible interactions, such as those that may occur with grapefruit juice, there will be a warning on your prescription bottle. Do you have any other details on what you saw? Were they talking about some specific issue? ## Grapefruit juice, also wine with cheese with some medicines. You're right, I suppose I shouldn't worry if a medicine doesn't have a specific warning noted. Thanks for your response!

Dear sir I am 38. For the last one year I am under medication for hypertension (some times it goes upto 140/100). Dr advised me to take one Telista - 40 Mg every day. Yesterday in one of the pharmacy instead of Telista-40, the person gave me Telsar 40 mg. I realised the change of medicine only after reaching home. the pharmacy is far away from my home and I am not a position to return the same. Could pl confirm whether both are equivalent and I can consume Telsar 40 instead of Telista 40. Your earlier response would be highly appreciated.

Doctor prescribed this medicine in place of Beta-Nicardia Is this medicine is good because it contains Asprin. ## This medication actually isn't used to treat high blood pressure. It is used as a blood thinner and to prevent blood clotting, so it's nothing like the Beta-Nicardia that you were taking. Are you sure it was supposed to replace it, or are you perhaps supposed to take it in addition to the other? Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. ## DEh PLATT-CV 20 is Clopidogrel Bisulphate ( 75 mg ) with Atrovastain ( 20 mg ) and Aspirin ( 75 mg ). I want to know this drug is safe because it contains Asprin.
