Then in my second set of tablets, I missed the direction given by arrows in last 7 days. Is it ok or it should not have been done? Will it have any negative effect in my periods? ## I have been suggested ovral G for 3 months to regulate cycle and as a contraceptive. After taking ovral g for 20 days i had intercourse without a condom. should i take some i-pill also on the 24th day for additional protection?
Can anyone identify this pill? It's not a capsule, it's an oval white tablet, marked 44-511 ## Hi nikki, Would there happen to be a score line down the center as well? Most pills I'm finding that start with "44" and are followed by three digits are often recognized as OTC cough and cold related medications; though, I'm not finding any specific details on one that ends in "511". 44 533 and 44 547 have also come up with similar physical descriptions. And the only one I'm seeing with 44 511 is "round" in shape and not oblong as you mentioned it to be. So if you'd be so kind, could you also double check the imprint just to be sure? Thanks! ## It's a cold medication sold over the counter: Acetaminophen 325 mg Dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg Phen...

UpdatedSo I took an active pill one morning and I threw it up. I immediately take the next days pill. Will this throw off my cycle? Should I use protection until my next period? ## Hi Kit Kat, In many cases when you "miss a pill", I often see instructions stating that patients should take the next one "as soon as they remember", and then sticking with that new schedule to keep your hormones from fluctuating too much. This is what my fiancé does when she forgets to take hers... but I imagine that the protocols for missing a pill wouldn't be any different than if you were to throw one up and then take the next day's tablet instead (being that it's the same thing). So in this scenario I don't see why you'd even have to worry about not being protected since...
Wanted to kno exactly what kinda birth control pill. I have it's package at 28 pills and missed a couple pills. do I continue the last 7 inactive pills? ## Those are both brand names for the same oral contraceptives, the Mononessa is just a less expensive 'generic', so to speak. Ortho Tri Cyclen was the original name brand. How many tablets did you miss and in which week? If you missed 2 or more in the 3rd week, or 3 doses any other week, you should start a new pack and use some additional method of contraception for the first 7 days, making sure not to miss any tablets. If you have a smart phone, then I recommend using on of the many free prescription reminder apps that are available to make sure you don't miss any more tablets in the future. The FDA lists the possible ...
My doctor put me on low dose hormones because he thinks i may be in peri menapause. . He told me to take both white pills at the end but that i dont need to take the brown ones. Im wondering if i should go on to the next pack whether i start my period or not. I believe they told me keep taking them ## Hello, Jojo! How are you? Unless your doctor specifics otherwise, what that means is that you just don't have to take any pills those days, since there are no active ingredients in them. You just wouldn't take any those days, then start a new pack after those days pass. And yes, you continue onto the new pack, whether you get your period, or not. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrou...
I started taking Sprintec late last week, so I dont have too long of an experience with it thus far. however, the night that I started taking it, almost immediately after I started my period. I had just had my regular period 2 weeks before. The bleeding on this period is INSANE. I havent bled this much since I was 16. the birth control that I was on before this (yaz) made it so that I only had a true period every 3 to 4 months, with spotting in between. My doctor changed me to Sprintec because the Yaz didnt seem to be working anymore the way that it should have. my doctor warned me that it could be like this for about 3 months or at least until my body becomes used to this certain medication. The amount of bleeding I am having is just so unreal that I am concerned that it is not normal....
I started sprintec for the first time about a week & a half ago the sunday after my period. Literally got my period again right after. Ive just been bleeding & have tender breasts. No cramps or anything like usual. i'm confused & annoyed. How long will this last? ## Hello, Regina! How are you? You should have started it at the beginning of your cycle, which was the first day of your period, not after it was done, that would provide immediate protection from pregnancy. Starting it later in your cycle, as you did, requires a full 7 days for it to become effective in the body, so you'd need to use a backup form of protection until the 8th day of taking a pill, without missing any. That said, breakthrough bleeding can be a normal side effect of hormonal contraceptives, a...
I'm 27 and got a Jadelle implant 4 years ago. It was taken out a year later since my period only came every 4-6 months. Tests always say they are negative, so for two years now my period has not regulated on its own and doctors aren't worried or fazed. I'm worried as I have three boys, soon to be 7,6, and 5 . However because I've had no positives and no period I'm a little afraid I may not be able to have babies anymore. I would like to have another, I just need to know what's going on with my body. ## Hello, Lysh! How are you? Have you discussed getting pregnant with a doctor? They should be able to help you reset your hormones and cycle to increase your chances of getting pregnant. There are hormonal supplements that they can use to help you with that. It sound...
A person stole a scrip of control substance and got it fill at wall-greens and they did not ask for I'd nor ask for them to sign for the MEDACINE ## @Deon, When I go with my fiancé to pick up her birth control, she is required to show an ID for verification and sign a paper with her signature. So when it comes to controlled substances like narcotics or otherwise, I think it's safe to assume that pharmacists SHOULD ask for ID by law. If you encountered a situation where this wasn't the case, I'd be hard pressed to think that they're doing business legitimately and should probably be reported. Does anyone else out there agree?
I lost my purse which had my birth control in it and so I took the corresponding dose from next months packet. Will the hormone levels be the same even though it is from a different package? Pill order number (color) are the same and I took it at the correct time. ## Susie q yes they are the same from month to month. ## Thank you Karen!
Im trying to get pregnant and I got the mirena out over 6 months ago and I have yet to get my period. So my dr prescribed me medroxypr ac 10mg. And i was wondering how long after taking it will i start ovulating again? ## Hello, Sara! How are you? Ovulation usually occurs the 14th or 15th day of your cycle, so if these induce a period, it would be about 2 weeks from that day. However, there is no guarantee that you will ovulate, even if these work to induce a period. The FDA classifies this medication as being a hormonal supplement and lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I just started Lo Loestrin Fe 11 days ago after coming off of an unsuccessful try with a copper IUD for less than a week. I started when I did not have my period, and waited until my seventh day (about 20 minutes after I took my seventh pill) to have protected sex. Since I started Lo Loestrin Fe, I've had some light cramping a few times during the day, nothing severe, and my breasts have been slightly tender. I know my chances of pregnancy are very low, considering we used condoms correctly and I have been very diligent with taking the pill at the same time every day. I had never had sex prior to the night where I took the seventh pill, so I'm thinking that my cramps and tenderness are just due to starting a hormonal BC for the first time. I was just wondering if the cram...
Rather than wait another month I started first pack of Lo Loestrin Fe 2 days after my period ended (started Sunday). Then I started spotting lightly 2 weeks later (very dark brown and very light). Then another week later I got my period which was this past Saturday. It's now Wednesday and the period is very heavy in the am and then almost goes away all day and then heavy again at night. Is this normal? I feel like it's going to go on forever. Normally my period is 3-4 days max and super heavy which is why I started Lo Loestrin. ## Hello, Kimber! How are you? Yes, according to the FDA, such breakthrough bleeding can be normal and may occur, off an on, for the first 3 months, after starting a new oral contraceptive. Other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizzi...

I have had horrible side effects for three days. I'm nauseous, I've thrown up and I've cried all day everyday for three days now. Im very unhappy with myself and I find myself coming home and going straight to bed. I'm tired non stop and very emotional. The doctor called me today and Now I'm hysterically crying. She was very adamant about me remaining on it for the entire month. She practically told me she couldn't guarantee what would happen and how long my period would be if I just stopped and that I would start as soon as I quit taking it. She claims it's completely natural and pretty much acted like she got these calls all the time. I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. If I continue taking it, it's just getting more and more into my syste...
I have been on this pill before and stopped because my doctor wanted to try something else. well they put me back on it and after a month and a half I stopped again because I was bleeding every other week and it was not spotting it was a 7 day period. When I did have sex I used a condom as well and always took my pill at the same time everyday well now I am on 2 weeks of no period/withdraw bleeding after stopping the pill on Day 15. I just could not take the anxiety and the non stop period! I read somewhere that it may take 30-60 days from stopping the pill to get my period back to normal but I am just so worried and I don't even know if a pregnancy test would be accurate since I had a period every other week the month of January. Thanks for any advice! (I have a follow up for chang...
Hi im 21 and currently on yaz i was wondering if i can take the following medication and what effect will it have on the effectiveness of my birth control Adco-dol Hypospasmol Neurofen Stilpayne ## Basically you should not have any direct interaction of yaz with these medication. You need to avoid the dosage schedule of all the pills together.
