I have been taking meloxicam for 1 1/2 weeks and I am experiencing celiac symptoms. I would like to know if meloxicam is gluten free. ## Meloxicam is actually a generic medication, the name brand for it would be Mobic and, since it is a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies. Thus, I can't tell you anything about the inactive ingredients without more information from you, such as the markings on the tablet, or the name of the manufacturer. Can you please post back with this information? ## I would like to know if gluten is in my meloxicam. It's an oblong light yellow pill with a 15 stamped on it. I'm expericening floating, constipation, and stomach pains. ## Is taking muscle relaxers 500mg and meloxicams 7.5mg and buspirone 10mgs okay to take all in the m...
29 REPLIES Updated in MeloxicamMy wife, age 84, had arthroscopic surgery on her knee 15 years ago with little benefit. Lately she has had the rooster shots with no benefit. A few days ago she was in agony and friend gave her "Charlote Arthritis" pills from Mexico. The relief was almost instantaneous. She takes two per day and is pain free. The list ingredients are: oak, white willow, magnesium, chamomile, and one item, about 7 letters, too blurred to read. ## Where or how can I get some. I have taken them for my Lupus symptoms and it is an all day relief of pain that nothing else has been able to provide. I cannot find them anymore since the person who used to get them is no longer available. ## El Centro Super Center, Nuevo Progresso, Tamp, MX Hurry before Trump screws up everything and closes the border. ##...
57 REPLIES Updated in NaproxenCan I take these two medicines together? I normally take Sumatriptan for migraines. I fell on the ice and hurt my shoulder and the Orthopedic has me taken 1 Meloxicam a day. I have a bad migraine and need to know if I can take a Sumatriptan. ## While I haven't come across any drug interactions or contraindications suggesting that it's unsafe to take the two together, I think it would still be wise to consult your prescribing doctor just to be on the safe. That way they can cross-check for other determining factors as well based on your medical records. You can also read more about each medication in the links below: [1] Meloxicam [2] Sumatriptan Hope this helps!

2 REPLIES UpdatedI was forced to start taking the generic Celebrex about 4-6 months ago. I have taken Celebrex for many years! I've had a couple of U/A's come back with traces of blood in my urine and wondering if this could be related to the drug?! ## Hello Susan! How are you doing? According to FDA reports, Celebrex has been known to cause some gastro-intestinal bleeding as a side effect, though it's not very common. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, edema, leg cramps, and alopecia. Ref: Celebrex Information So yes, there is a chance it could be do to the medication, but only a doctor can do more checking to say for sure. Also, does it have any side effects? ## I would also like to know about the potential side effects of Lornoxicam. ## Lornoxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. 2 REPLIES UpdatedI have had a total knee replacement and I need a suitable anti-inflammatory. Unfortunately, I can't take Celebrex because it is a sulfur drug, and Mobic makes me feel ill. Meloxicam makes me feel unwell too, and Xefo causes my heart to race. I am unsure of a safe anti-inflammatory medication to use, as I'm experiencing a lot of pain in my knee. Can you help with any suggestions? I have Vimovo, which contains Naproxen, but it has so many side effects that I am too scared to take it. ## Try Duexis. It's best for the tummy.

24 REPLIES UpdatedI was on Enbrel for 5 years for plaque psoriasis and had 95% clearing. I became tolerant to the Enbrel and the plaques started coming back especially on the scalp. Was put on Stellara which caused unrelenting fatigue and nausea with no clearing at all so I stopped. I am now taking Cosentyx which caused nausea and fatigue for a day or two after each shot. I just took my 6th dose and again have nausea and fatigue. The Cosentyx has stopped the spreading of the plaques but I have not had any clearing as of yet. I have been told not to expect much for three months so I have started the timer. Good luck to all of you and thank you for sharing, it gives me hope. ## How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Yes, it can usually take awhile for any given medication to reach its full leve...

1 REPLY UpdatedWhat medical reasons is it used for? ## Manteca de ubre ## Does anyone know the ingredients in this ointment? Is it manufactured by Germa? ## On Amazon I found some Germa Manteca Ubre Plus 3oz. Kind of hard to come by it seems. Is this the same product you're talking about? ## Manteca de Ubre is used for sore muscle or muscle pain. I used it recently for muscle pain from a fall. I missed a step and landed on my legs and ankles. I spent one night quite uncomfortable. I rubbed the Manteca de Ubre last night and slept like a baby. With other stuff I have used in the past it takes about a week or so to make me feel comfortable. This only took one night. ## I used it a long time ago for an infection I had on my toe, under the nail, I put it only one time, at night time and the next follo...

Recently we consulted with doc. he told us about Enbrel (Etacept 25mg inj.) and suggested to take Etacept 25mg twice a week for 3 month. My main concern is it is very very expensive in India even though I can afford 24 doses (for 3 months). Doctor told us after 3 month you don't need these treatment. I want to know its really true?? The result of Etacept 25mg will life long?? Or it used just to make temporary relief?? After reading above discussion I come to know peoples are using this for year n year. Which is economically not possible in my case. Please help me to decide whether to start this treatment or not. ## So I understood you have to take Enbrel for a long time, when not...
3 REPLIES Updated in EnbrelI took the six pills on my first day's dose all at once as I believe I was directed to do. However, this is day two and I didn't read the instructions and took all five of day two with breakfast. I am taking this because I have a lymph tumor on my parathyroid gland and trigeminal neuralgia that has been giving me acute pain in my face and mouth. My primary put me on the Methylprednisolone steroid and Gabapentin. I hope that this isn't going to cause me problems since I need to be alert and work. ## Yes, as the other posters have stated, there is no issue here. You can actually take them all, all at once, each day, if needed. Some people do, in order to make sure they don't accidentally miss a dose. I've done it, when I was on one due to an allergic reaction and had a...

2 REPLIES Updated in NabumetoneYou're supposed to take the first two tablets of Methylprednisolone before breakfast. My question is how long do I have to wait to eat breakfast after I take the medicine? ## You probably don't need to wait long to eat breakfast after taking your first dose. Maybe 15-30 minutes tops if you're concerned about absorption (as the medication has a peak concentration about 2 hours after ingesting it). Actually, according to Medline Plus, Methylprednisolone may cause an upset stomach and you should take it with food or milk. Why take it before breakfast? Taking medication at the same time every day, such as before breakfast, can establish a routine, making it easier to remember and ensuring consistent dosing. Also, Cortisol, a naturally occurring steroid hormone produced by the ad...

5 REPLIES Updated in Celecoxibmy provider has started me on this medication for arthritis in my knees she says it may take up to 10 days before i feel relief has anyone found this to be true. ## I just started taking mobic and I really can tell a difference. I am 37 and just found out I have arthritis in my lower back, I toss and turn all night due to lower back pain. My doctor perscribed mobic and I sleep much better, no more pain! ## By the way, I felt the improvement the first night! ## It took about 3 or 4 days to experience some relief. I'm 35 and in excruciating pain most of the time, but this has reduced some of the paricularly mind-bending stints of pain, though not all.
