is there a common denominator between saphris 10 milligrams and suboxin 8 milligrams ## Hello, Jersey! How are you? No, they aren't related, at all. I have gained ten pounds on this medicine. Is there any other drug like this that will not cause weight gain? I was out of medicine for 4 days and was very anxious and angry.any advice? I want off this stuff. I already take klonipin and lamictal. The dr has me on 3mg of invega and now she suggest risperdol. I have no clue what to try next. ## Hello, Racheal! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Unfortunately no, weight gain is a normal side effect of almost all psychotropic medications. The only thing you can really do is eat healthy and get plenty of exercise to try to mitigate this effect. Does anyone else have any ideas or advice?

I quit seroquel 5 months ago for several reasons (was addicted to it and not seeing a doctor so I was getting it on the streets, it messed with my head and my heart rate, and of course the weight gain.) I was a good 125lbs ish when I started. 2 years later I'm 160lbs. Seroquel never really made me hungry or overeat, but I slept a good 14 hours a day and spent my time awake lying around because I was so tired. Having quit it though, along with being homeless, I walk quite a lot and barely get to eat. But after 5 months I can't even shed 5lbs. The next best thing I can do diet wise is literally starve myself I am already eating so little, and I already do not eat junk food, so I'm really confused and actually pretty depressed by my weight. I know seroquel is behind my dilemma,...

1st off let me thank you for taking the time to answer my ?... I am on Geodon an atypical antipsychotic for Bipolar Disorder. I have Gastro Paresis and my stomach doesn't empty the correct way and it causes severe nausea and vomiting. I was on Phenergan for the nausea (I tried Zofran it didn't work) but my Health Insurance stopped paying for Phenergan. So My Doctor put me on Compazine 10mg (its a typical antipsychotic). I took it years ago, and it made me restless and I felt like I had to keep moving my legs. My Doctor knows this but its pretty much my only option. I am already on Cogentin .5mg 2x day b/c the Geodon I'm on make me have tremors. I was wondering if I go up on my Cogentin dose to 2mg 2x a day if that would work. I think if this is true that might be why I've been having seizures (about 1 month). So I've taken myself of Zyprexa since I'm so scared of another seizures. This has caused my panic attacks and anxiety to sky rocket. I walk dogs for a living and am always afraid I'll have a seizure while no one is around. ## HI Mikki, You're correct, taking Zyprexa (olanzapine) with Tramadol can cause seizures. The anxiety you're experiencing is most likely one of the withdrawal symptoms of Zyprexa. Other detox symptoms include Insomnia, bipolar disorder symptoms (like depression or mania), and symptoms of schizophrenia (like delusions or hallucinations). I completely understand your reasoning for stopping this medication, but you should speak with your doctor immediately about ...
what kind of pill is this round peach pill Q on one side and 100 on the other side ## Hi Lennon, From what I've researched, a round peach colored pill with Q on one side and 100 on the other, is reportedly identified as a 100mg Quetiapine Fumarate tablet, used for treating bipolar disorder, depression, and schizophrenia. I found conflicting information on who the manufacturer was, however most clues I saw suggest that it's made by either Mylan or Accord Healthcare in Canada. Hope this helps!
For 10 years I have been devoted to this drug. I have a beautiful loving wife, a 3 month old daughter, I own my own home and bought a new car a few years ago. 10 years ago I was hospitalized because I thought I had to save the world from itself. Today, I am a counselor for homeless youth and young adults. Although I am no longer trying to "save the world" I am now facing a dilemma of trying to preserve my world without going insane. I have a lot at stake. I am much older now. I like to think I have learned a few things about myself and illness. The truth is I hate having to take medication. I was 19 when I first had my break and now I am 30. I was 180 and now I am 280. I carry the weight well but since I no longer have the weight of the world on my shoulders (which was a tremend...
Can anyone help. My husband started taking seroquel some 7 years ago and at first the side effects were awful. Since then I have slowly seen him disappear. He used to be very affectionate and we were a close couple. Now he never hugs, has lost his sensitive side altogether, has a terrible memory and is generally disconnected from me and the kids. He's like a shell of the man he used to be. He doesn't see it. ## My husband is exactly the same way, he's here but he's not, you cannot touch him, he's more paranoid, always scratching head at night, twirling the blanket until he falls asleep, you nailed it, he is here, but he is not like he use to be, no affection, not sensitive, personality not there, he does not no this, I had to go to counseling to feel better, but now ...
