I am at my pain dr writing this. I take 600 milligrams of seroquel at night to sleep. I was just drug tested, & showed up positive for an antidepressant (aka TCA). I had to argue w/ the test lady because I googled this info, & had the answer about why before she was even done dialing the phone # to the local pharmacy. I have been going to this Dr for several yrs, & have been on seroquel for many more, & this was the first time they have ever said anything about it to me. But she said that it was because they didn't have the drug testing kits they are now having to use. I can't find the name of this pill anywhere. I have 50 mg tablets and they expired on 2/20/2015. I recently found them buried in my closet and started taking them. What harm can it cause? ## No harm, but they may not be as effective as they were, when new. Medications do tend to lose efficacy over time, according to NIH reports. However, the caveat I will add here is that the U.S. is one of the only countries that requires expiration dates, most others do not. But, it is always best to check with your doctor or pharmacist. I am perscribed gabapentin, quetiapine, and bupropion. I've been given this white oblong (capule shaped? Not sure what the shape is called) pill with a scorching down the middle and one side is blank the other side has a Q & 300 imprinted on either side of the scorching. Hi I am 31 year old female ..I have been taking quitipin for 3 years I don't have schizophrenia nor am I bipolar .. I was severely depressed I started at 100mg prescribed and reduced it to 25mg myself . It's been a wk I have stopped it .. I've been taking Quetiapine 25 mg for sleep and anxiety for about a week then halved the dose as it made me feel out of it the next day.. Half a tablet still helped me sleep but I still felt out of it the next day. Went back to work for two days, wasn't good being off driving to work and at work. Decided to stop taking it a few days ago. I didn't sleep. My head felt like strange pinging if that's the word for it. Felt like I lost complete control crying my eyes out, vomiting, heart beating fast, shakes... I was going to book myself into a hospital as I felt so out of control. Went and saw another doctor who gave me Alepam 15 mg which calmed me down and wants me to start on Aropax 20 mg. What should I do? Take these meds or go and book myself into a hospital and get check...

Hi, I take 100 mg of seroquel at night and have for 10 years. I do have the 25 mg tablets as well as the 100 mg ones. I take this for sleep for fibromyalgia. I itch and itch now after I take seroquel. It is getting worse. Getting bruises from itching on my legs. :'( I have been having a feeling in my throat like itching and tickling. Been through this before with other types of medications. I have had hives from other medications I had to stop before. I am allergic to a lot of medications. As sensitive as I am, surprised I was able to take seroquel this long. I do feel like a zombie the next day. I am getting worse and worse reactions to this medication. Those are typical side effects for antipsychotic medications, the FDA also lists that you may experience nausea, somnolence, sedation and dry mouth. Have you consulted your doctor? You may do better with a lower dose or on a different medication. ## Same here!!!! Weight gain and ZERO drive or motivation to do ANYTHING. I must say my dellusions are GONE but it comes with a price.
