Expired Seroquel
UpdatedI have 50 mg tablets and they expired on 2/20/2015. I recently found them buried in my closet and started taking them. What harm can it cause?

No harm, but they may not be as effective as they were, when new. Medications do tend to lose efficacy over time, according to NIH reports.
However, the caveat I will add here is that the U.S. is one of the only countries that requires expiration dates, most others do not. But, it is always best to check with your doctor or pharmacist.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.
Is there anything else I can help with?
