was on dilantin for 17 years..then weened myself off. was doing good for five years when suddenly has a seizure at home after work.then 3 month later had one while sleeping,then 2 months later 2 more while sleeping. 3 eeg's,1 mri, blood work, and UA all came back "normal". i don't drink r smoke, but sometimes induce too much stress to myself. finally got a referral to a specialist, he put me on vimpat 100mg twice a day.3 weeks into it...find my thoughts no longer run through my mind at a million mph. find myself not pressing my tongue forward in my mouth and have it expand into my teeth.find myself a bit happier and a bit more laid back...NOT dopey or drowsy.find myself making more jokes....only side effect so far is weird dreams,enjoyable,but weird. so far so good ## He...

I have been on Cilift for about 4 years. I am 49 year old female and I have now being diagnosed with bipolar depression. I have been on dyma-lamotrigine for a month and my libido is very low and I am nauseous, have constant headaches and nausea and dizziness. I still take Cilift, and Adco omeprazole daily. I was in a car accident several months ago and currently take Gralise (1200mg once a day), Meloxicam (15 mg once a day) and the Mini Pill (for endometriosis). I'm having severe nausia (likely related to endometriosis) and burning in my throat (likely acid reflux) so I can't eat much. I desparately need to have an endoscopy and colonoscopy (for GI issues) and laperscopy (for endometriosis). However, I was told I need to be off these meds for at least one week before these procedures can be done. And I need to taper off gralise. Plus, I'm turning 40 and want to have a baby and my egg supply is low. I'd like to get pregnant asap, but I'm worried about pain being too much from accident and the effects these meds may have on fetus. I'm obviously not going to take meds...

I was on Topamax since 2006, 300mg a day. i went off it last year, my decision after a long discussion with my dr due to all the side affects, one major one was my hair loss, it was coming out in clumps. After being off of it for the past year, I gained over 30lbs. My eating was the same, healthy. Activity was the same. I attributed the weight gain to being off the Topamax. I went back to my dr this past week asked to go back on it again. I does help with my over all mood but I was on it for chronic pain from 6 surgeries. I am 69 years old. I am 6 feet, 8 inches tall. But, my body weight is below 45 Kg. now I had fits of epilepsy in the night on 6th October 2010. It repeated twice that night. Now I am taking Levipil 250mg (Levitiracetum) daily as advised by a neurologist. Now the dose has been reduced to 1 tab on alternate days. Fits never repeated till now. I have Hypothyroidism also. For that I am taking Thyroxin 50 mg. I have irritable bowel syndrome. Usually I have loose motion twice or thrice a day. Will you please suggest a remedy for the above mentioned problems?

Hi. I suffer neuropothy and was offerred gabapentin by the specialist and i refused because having lost and maintained 8 stones of weight over a few years, i sure dont want to take any meds that cause weight gain. I have Huntingtons accompanied by neuropathy which is causing excruciating, widespread pain. My pain manager is telling me that in Tennessee they are being required to reduce patient's dosage. As my disease progresses the pain increases. As my disease symptoms increase the pain med dosage is decreasing and life continues to be quite the challenge. This pill is an 800 mg gabapentin(generic) or Neurontin. It's used for nerve pain. It's not 800 ibuprofen! I know this for a fact, because I take this medication. ## Hello, Nikki! How are you? How are you? Oxetol contains the active ingredient Oxcarbazepine, which is used to prevent seizures. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes, drowsiness, blurred vision and fatigue. There is no way of knowing whether or not your seizures will return, you'll really just have to take the medication, as prescribed and then see what happens. I have been on gabapentin for about 2 weeks. First 3 days i was a zombie, didnt even kno where i was. It was crazy. After that, i felt nothing weird. Before i was on it, i literally couldnt sit still anymore. I had pain, itching, crawling, in my arms and legs. I wanted to pull my limbs off. Now i can actually sit. I cant believe the difference. For quite some time now, I have counted my Pills from Walgreens and the Count Was Short a few times already. Now I'm short on Neurontin Pills I didn't Count; And I'm Short Of My Pills For A Few Days!!!! Which means I have to do without my Medication for a Few Days and To SUFFER because they MISCOUNTED MY PILLS NO TELLING HOW MANY TIMES!!!!
