I was taking cephalexin500 wasn't the right antibiotic for me so Dr. Gave me sulfatrimeth ds. 800 is it okay to switch from one antibiotic that isn't working to another antibiotic in the same day ## As long as you have your doctor's clearance to do so, there are no other real problems with it. My wife has taken her first dose of sulfamethoxazole and it really has not been meshing well with her body at all. She is going through different phases about every half an hour. First starting off really uncomfortable with scared feelings. mixed with some laughter. She has been having the shakes and I am getting a little worried.
