I believe the medication in question here was Cephalexin, which I've confirmed as being used in cats and dogs, as well as people.

It is an antibiotic that's used to treat or prevent infections and the side effects in animals can be very similar to those in people and may include nausea, itchy skin rash and diarrhea.

Learn more Cephalexin details here.
