I cannot take NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti inflammatory) One post says it's like oxy and another states it's a nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drug. Which is correct? ## Hello, Vic! How are you? According to the manufacturer, Janssen-Cilag, it contains Paracetamol, so it is neither a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, nor is it any type of opiate. The side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just needed to make sure it wasn't an NSAID. This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but they do lost effectiveness over time and, even if still sealed in the originally factory sealed container, the maximum shelf life is only about 5 years, thus it would be best to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new supply, if you still require such a medication. Delzicol replaced Asacol as a treatment for llceratilve colitis last month. The change meant my co-pay for a month's prescription rose from $33 to $93. Hello all......I have Ocular Toxoplasmosis that requires rather high Prednisone treatments. The last time I took it - 2013 - I had high blood pressure - 180/100. This is a scary side effect and I am very afraid that now that I have a recurrence of the Toxo and have had to start Pred again that the BP will shoot up. According to the NIH "Misoprostol is used to prevent ulcers in people who take certain arthritis or pain medicines, including aspirin, that can cause ulcers. It protects the stomach lining and decreases stomach acid secretion." I have also heard of it being used as an abortifacient drug but not in the United States.

I've taken Excedrin for 40+ years, to get rid of a caffeine headache that coffee can't. On occasion I also take Naproxen for athritis in the hips, but I never take it together with Excedrin, because of the instructions on the Naproxen Rx leaflet. How long should I wait before taking a Naproxen after taking Excedrin?
