I was advised by a ER doctor to take Aleve for a serious jaw injury that left me in serious pain. After taking 2 pills a day for a little over a month ( again was recommended to me by the doctor ) I started developing bad headaches, I started getting very agitated and nervous for no reason and I started having really odd dreams. After being unable to get though to the doctor, I just had enough and stopped taking the pills. After a few days I started to see minor improvement. The headaches went from head splitting to very minor and the odd dreams went away BUT what alarmed me was that at times my heart would feel like it was pounding like a drum and over the past few days I started getting occasional hot flashes. My question is this..... is this just "withdrawal symptoms" of me s...

Due to acute, severe Osteoarthritic shoulder pain, an Emergency Room physician prescribed one, 10mg/21 tablet medrol dose pak, of Prednisone (Prednisone is written in big bold black letters, on the yellow box), to be taken over a six day period, in equally divided doses, one less tablet each day: 6-5-4-3-2-1), along with a sling and NO X-Rays. I filled the prescription on Tuesday and started taking it, but by around 6pm on Tuesday, my shoulder was even worse! Having heard the news that another local hospital was better, I went to the alternate and "that" hospital ER physician (an M.D. this time, as opposed to a P.A., on Monday), gave me a much better sling, a swathe, as well, a "complete* series of shoulder X-Rays, and yet another prescription for the "identical" box...
I have been on 40 milligrams of Prednisone for about 5 weeks now because of autoimmune pancreatitis. In the past weeks I have gained 35 pounds in water retention whatever you wanna call it. I'm so depressed and feel like crap all the time but when I don't take the medicine for about a day I start getting really bad pains in my knees or the back of my leg. The doctor is giving me another prescription to slowly wean 5 milligrams off a week but it doesn't seem to be making anything better. I'm at 25 milligrams now still no difference in the side effects or the appearance and my face. I have always been about a hundred and ten pounds and right now I'm at 147. So the weight gain is very noticeable. If anybody has any advice on quitting this medication in a quick manner or...

Yikes. I accidentally took all my first day of Methylprednisolone pills at one time. Will I be ok? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Usually, they are only spaced out to try to help minimize the side effects, as listed by the FDA, they may include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and insomnia, so taking them all at once, may worsen those effects. The last time I was on this, my pharmacist flat out told me that it was fine to talk them, all at once, if I preferred, so I did. If I did so in the morning, then the worst of the side effects were worn off, by the time I was ready to go to bed. It's always best to double check with your doctor to be sure, though. ## This was helpful.I took all 6 at once and thought I might have overdosed.
Hi, I recently developed an ear infection, My doctor in India prescribed me Kineto DP(Diclofenac(50 mg),Serratiopeptidase(10 mg),Paracetamol(325 mg)) for my ear pain, which helped a great deal, But now I am travelling in Morocco and they do not have this medicine here. I found this half blue pill oval looks like a can only it says is 8 6 ## @jtv, I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean about it "looking like a can"? If it's half an oval pill, how do you consider this to be so? A 12.00 mm light blue oval (220mg) Naproxen sodium tablet with "L368" on one side and blank on the other, sounds like a close prospect (whereas if it were cut in half you'd see '68' or '89'). The main problem with having half a pill is that the other markings are the only thing that can narrow it down to something specific. So finding an accurate match could be anyone's best guess…especially without a photograph to go off of… If it's very important to you though, something you may want to look into is having t...
Does "as needed" mean I can take more than 2 pills a day if I need it? Like, can I take 3 every 8 hours for pain safely? ## Hello, Rae! How are you? No, as needed means that you don't always have to take a pill every 12 hours, if you don't need to, but you can take up to 2 a day, 12 hours apart, if you are in pain and need to do so. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been taking 400 MG No problems, been feeling fine. When I renewed these pills, they are somewhat different. Instead of one red pill, it comes in a clear capsule 4 pieces of the pill in 1 capsule. Shortly after taking these pills I have been having problems. Stomach pains, nausea, cramps. Been going on for a few weeks now. Any suggestions?? ## I also have not agreed with the new capsules. I feel like they are better than nothing at all but not doing their job in comparison to the last formulation. I wonder if we can open them up and take the small capsules... ## @Don, Sorry to hear about your experience with this new refill. I'm assuming it's probably from a different manufacturer with different binders and fillers that could be to blame... However, it's important to n...
I'm a 66 year old male who has suffered with moderate to (mostly) severe UC for 13 years. I have used these and other physician ordered drugs with unsatisfactory results and even Merkel Cell cancer while taking 6 Mercaptopurine to suppress my immune system. I could have died from the cancer. I live in New Jersey where I easily qualified for medical marijuana (cannabis). I now live a completely normal life without UC flares. My medical oncologist just discharged me after I survived over 5 years after a cancer that I had a 25% chance of surviving for 2 years. I'm now cancer free. I now enjoy the best UC symptom relief with only cannabis used two to three times daily. I don't anticipate a return of Merkel Cell cancer because I'm no longer suppressing my immune system. Canna...
Chymoral AP has Trypsin Chymotrypsin which should be taken before meals and Aceclofenac and Paracetamol which should be taken after meals. .
