Can You Use Medrol Dose For Pneumonia

My daughter has pneumonia, coughing fever, she has some medrol 4mg left over from when she hurt her neck. Will that help her breathe

Hello, Betty! How is your daughter doing?

If it's just a left-over medication, she most likely doesn't have enough to actually help, nor to take the correct dose to start and the properly taper it off, as required. If she requires something else to help with her breathing, she should consult her doctor.

The FDA lists the typical side effects for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness.

Is there anything else I can help with?
