what is the side effect of asomex d ## Asomex-D contains the active ingredients Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide, it is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dehydration. Learn more: Are there any other comments or questions? ## Whether it causes swelling in the legs due to water retation ## sainath, the Hydrochlorothiazide that is in the Asomex-D is a diuretic that is used to remove fluid from the body to treat or prevent that water retention, so this medication definitely shouldn't cause that, it should help prevent it or reduce it, if you are already suffering from it. Of course, this means that you do have to watch for possible symptoms of dehydration, such as: nausea, weakness...
I am hypertensive and diabetic and was prescribed to take amlodipine with metformin. But, since I also have chronic bilateral renal parenchymal disease with nephrolithiases and enlarged prostate, I had to take tamsulosin with acalka also. Doctors say that the first two conditions have to be gone before any progress in the other conditions can take effect. And, the kidney stones, too. ESWL is expensive and I could't work meantime except from home due to the outcrop of side effects -- ex., diarrhea alternating with constipation -- not to mention the attendant pain of having kidney stones inside me and the looming fever that neither burns too hot nor lets me off completely in some eternal purgatory of chilly heat. As to tamsulosin, I have nothing but thanks for being able to urinate natur
UpdatedI am having problems with light headedness, weakness, fatigue and irregular heartbeats. Can I just stop taking this med. ## Hi Mary, According to an article by Lupin Pharmaceuticals (who I believe may be the manufacturer of this medication), an abrupt discontinuation of Amlodipine + Benazepril has NOT been linked to any sudden increases in blood pressure. Ref: lupinpharmaceuticals.com/pdf/10/Amlodipine-Benazepril.pdf That said, you could probably take the manufacturer's word for it in terms of quitting, but I would probably encourage you to still talk with your doctor before making any changes that you aren't sure of. My guess is that your doctor wouldn't want you to continue taking something that's creating more problems than it's worth. Hope this helps! ## Thank yo...
How many years after expiration date is amlodipine good to use& ## Hello, Lolly! How are you? If it is in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, then it would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply, unless your doctor okays your taking it. Medications tend to degrade with time and once they are removed from the factory sealed container and placed in a pharmacy dispensing bottle, they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture. Thus, once expired, they will not be as effective as they were, when new. The FDA classifies this medication as a calcium channel blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain...

I have this fear of taking this drug because of all the published side effects but know it is for my own good. I guess I just need some assurance from people taking this drug . ## Hello, Gordie! How are you? All medications carry the risk of causing just as many side effects as this one and those listed as the most common actually occur in a very small percentage of people, generally around 1%, which is a very small number out of the million or so that are taking it. According to the FDA, the most common ones may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, increased urination and stomach pain. Additionally, side effects tend to be transient, they only last for about 4 to 6 weeks, while your body is getting used to the medication, then they taper off, until they go away e...

Trying to read the above submission shown in the search engine but can't find it in your entries ## Just to confirm, I ran a search for you and there are no threads with such a title existing on this site. However if you're trying to find a post based on information within someone's "description" and not the "title of the thread", I don't think there's a way for you to zone in on that specifically. But what I can tell you is that it's more than likely related to side effects from "5mg Amlodipine besylate tablets marked with Z3" - as this is the only relevant match. Sometimes search engines like google don't completely correlate the information to a specific link/location where it may be found; which I agree can be frustrating at times....
