I'll go ahead and post this pill information below so you can see if it rings a bell or not: The imprint E 1 is identified as ED A-hist (3 mg-10 mg). The active ingredients in this medication are listed as: Chlorpheniramine Maleate (3 mg) Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (10 mg) This medication temporarily relieves runny nose and nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies (allergic rhinitis), relieves sneezing, itching of the nose or t...

CAN I TAKE METHOCARBAMOL WITH THIS COUGH MEDICINE? ## Based on my research there are drug interactions found between Methocarbamol and the Codeine inside of Iophen-C NR (codeine + guaifenesin). Information I was able to gather states the following, regarding this interaction: "Central nervous system and/or respiratory depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients." "During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression" Due to this interaction, I would recommend discussing the safety of taking Methocarbamol + Codeine with your doctor. Is aprodine still being made or is it going to be phased out? I am having increasingly more difficulty finding it. I use it to control my allergies. Nothing else seems to work as effectively. ## Aprodine contains the active ingredients Pseudoephedrine and Tripolodine. I am not sure if this specific one is still being made, but it is available in other products, such as Actifed Cold&Allergy and Triafed. However, due to the fact that they contain Pseudoephedrine, they are kept behind the counter in the pharmacy, so you have to ask for them, then present identification and sign for the purchase. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you very much for the information. You answered my question, and I appreciate it very much! Happy New Year to you!

Want to know what pill is white round with P on one side and 425 on the other ## The closest match I've been able to locate has the imprint "PE 425" rather than "P 425". This pill is also white, but it doesn't specify its shape. The pill I just described is identified as Durahist PE; which is used in the treatment of nasal congestion and rhinitis. Durahist PE contains the following active ingredients: Chlorpheniramine (8mg) + Methscopolamine (1.25 mg) + Phenylephrine (20 mg) The manufacturer of this specific pill is ProEthic Laboratories LLC. If this does not match your pill, is there any possibility that the marking has simply been misread? If not, hopefully you can use this information help narrow down your search.

I have a persistent and nagging cough that has lasted over a month. My family Dr. presribed Rezira for me 2 days ago. I was coughing my brains out and desperately downed the small sample bottle he gave me before I had even made it to the ground floor on the elevator in his building. As I drove home, the cough subsided without a doubt, but I would say within 15-30 minutes of drinking the little bottle (it was one dose per bottle) I felt a really euphoric high. Each time I've taken it since, I've noticed the same "feel good" that it creates. I believe the active ingredient is Codeine, which I've had in a pain reliever like vicodin before and never noticed this effect. Is there a reason that in the cough syrup formula it would cause this feeling, vs. when it's in th...

I've been taking methadone for opiate dependency. Can i take maxifed dm for a sinus infection ## There are no interactions listed between taking them together, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. You should know, however, that if it is actually an infection, there is nothing in the Maxifed DM that will help clear it up. That will require an antibiotic from your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have had 2 anaphylactic shock episodes due to ER visits with Benadryl in my IV. Allergist tested...allergic to Benadryl. I am on MANY meds and many have hydrochloride in them and some have diphenhydramine in them. If I am allergic to benadryl, would it be to the Diphenydramine, or the hydrochloride side? Thank you! ## It would be the Diphenhydramine that you have to stay away from. The Hydrochloride just designates the chemical salt that a medication was derived from, so you will actually see that listed on many different medications. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it!

It has 110 centered on one side a the letter p inside of a V centered on the other side. It is white and oblong Any Ideas? ## neon pink oblong pill with v on one side and a 25 on the other ## Hi rikki, The oblong pink pill marked V 25 is Diphenhydramine HCL (25 mg), which is mainly used to treat allergies. You can view information about Diphenhydramine by visiting the link below... @William, Unfortunately, I was unable to locate the pill you described in any of the U.S. drug databases. I wish I could be of more help, but one thing you can do is take the pill over to your local pharmacy and see if they have any particular way of testing for ingredients. If not, they should at least be able to provide advice on how you can get it lab tested (locally). I hope this helps!

I use Tri-Plen Forte for one week and get think and warm knees and ankles. ## Tri-Plen Forte contains the active ingredients Ramipril and Felodipine, these are most commonly used to treat high blood pressure. I am assuming you meant swelling of the joints you mentioned. The peripheral edema can be a common side effect that these medications cause in some people. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? You may require a dosage adjustment or a different medication. In this case, it is very important that you not stop taking these medications, because letting your blood pressure stay out of control can be far more dangerous than the side effects that these can cause. Learn more: ## Can Tri-plen forte cause or increase depression in a 47 year old male.

cn you please help me identify this pill ## Hi Betty, Unfortunately, after trying several searches I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases, nor any related information on google. The only 'somewhat-related' thing that does show up on google is "Duratuss DM 12" for cough suppression, but from what I can tell, it isn't even available in pill form. Odds are that your pill could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking ...

Is the generic for Allegra D ( 60/120 mg) still made and is it a prescription medication? ## Hi Bud, The generic name for Allegra D is Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine; and from what I could gather, it is still manufactured, but only available with your doctor's prescription. I'm not sure why this is (being that Allegra D is now available OTC), so you'd probably have to contact your doctor for more details on that. I also found additional information stating that it may have already become an over-the-counter medication as of this year (I don't know however if this statement applies to the generic version or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't): "Allegra-D is a combination product containing fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine in strengths of 60/120mg and 180/240...
