Is the generic for Allegra D ( 60/120 mg) still made and is it a prescription medication?

Hi Bud,

The generic name for Allegra D is Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine; and from what I could gather, it is still manufactured, but only available with your doctor's prescription. I'm not sure why this is (being that Allegra D is now available OTC), so you'd probably have to contact your doctor for more details on that.

I also found additional information stating that it may have already become an over-the-counter medication as of this year (I don't know however if this statement applies to the generic version or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't):
"Allegra-D is a combination product containing fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine in strengths of 60/120mg and 180/240mg. It is anticipated that Allegra drug products will be available in these strengths without a prescription in mid March 2011."
