Still Box
68 Topics FoundThey now have generic Suboxone pills, but I do not want the generic pills. Am I going to still be able to purchase the original Suboxone orange octagon shaped "original non generic" pills when I get my prescription filled? My pharmacy has the new generics in, but I do not want generic Suboxone. I want the original ones! ## Hi, Chrissy! I understand your concern, some people do have problems with generic medications. To avoid getting a generic, you need to ask your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary' or to not check the substitutions permitted box, to sign on that line, or whatever one of the various methods your state uses. If that's not done, it is normal for your pharmacy to give you a generic, unless your paying cash and request otherwi...
have L463 pills leftover (still in foiled package) but have not box for this anti-histyamine med. foil reads 4mg. i wonder how many pills and how often should take this medicine. ## This tablet contains 4mgs of Chlorpheniramine, which as you stated is an antihistamine. The dosing can vary, depending on the product, but for the standalone ones that only contain it, it is usually one 4mg tablet, every 4 to 6 hours, as needed, but not to exceed 6 tablets, daily. This dosing also refers to the regular release products, not the extended release. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have a box of amlodipine besylate tabs, but they already expired on 02/2012. Is it still safe to take them? If so, how long are they good for? ## I have a bottle of Amlodipine that expired on 1-19-17. Is it still good? The Dr just put me back on them again, but is it ok to use what I have left over first? ## Expired medications do not become dangerous, but they can lose efficacy, according to FDA, and NIH reports. Thus, they may not work as well as they did, when they were new, so it is better to see your doctor and obtain a new supply, if needed. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Fred, did your doctor put you back on the same dosage? Why did he put you back on them?
I’m done with my box of Chantix as of today & am still smoking. The desire is going away but I feel I need a second dose. Is it ok to get a second dose? ## Only your doctor can decide if it is safe for you to take for a longer period of time. Chantix may cause side effects, such as nausea, sleep walking, insomnia, depression, and aggression, in some people that take it. It also must be used with behavior modification, which includes you stopping on your quit date. The medication doesn't do it all by itself, you have to help it. Are you on any other medications? How much are you smoking? ## I’m smoking about a pack & a half. I can feel the effects of Chantix but am still smoking
My mother passed away in May and we have about 15 boxes of Apokyn left. It was so expensive and we are still making payments on it. Does anyone know of way to pass on the left over medicine and possibly recoup some of the money? ## Hi Jennifer, Sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I know it's not always easy to dump something that you originally paid good money for... but due to safety reasons, the FDA actually provides a specific set of guidelines on how to "properly" dispose of any unused portions of Rx medication. On their website they mention that some communities have what's called a "drug take-back program", in which they recommend contacting your local city/county household trash and recycling service to see if there's a safe location you can...
Aspergum is no longer manufactured, but there must be some places that might still have stock. ## I haven't been able to find it either. Do you still have an empty box? Perhaps we can find manufacturer or 800 number to call. I don't have a box to look at. ## I called the distributor, Insight Pharmaceuticals, who said it is no longer made -- which we already knew. They said it was a dead issue and there would be no place that still has it in stock. There must be someplace. ## I want to know who the rocket scientist was who decided to stop making it. That was a very stupid decision. ## I suggest we all look at BigLots! They usually carry closeout items for a while after it's taken off the shelves. After that, we are out of luck! It was a wonderful product. I can't imagine ...
I use this 10 mg (TEVA 74) generic Ambien. Empty bottle, but 2 in pill box so I verified ID. I always cut it because 5 mg almost always does the sleepy job. Often take quarter pill, then an another 1/4 pill if still awake 1/2 hr later. Cutting pills (if not specially coated) can save money as higher dose pills can cost little more than lower dose pills. ## Hello, Night Owl and thank you for the informative post. Learn more Zolpidem details here. Yes, it is safe to cut or break most regular release medications, unless you are specifically instructed not to do so by your doctor or pharmacist, so this method could save someone money in the long run. Anyone taking this, however, should be aware that it can cause some odd side effects, such as hallucinations, sleep eating and other strange s...
How long is Epitrel good for? There is no expiration on the box. Is it suppose to have a yellow tint to it? ## I've had mine for like 10 years, and has an orange tint to it, same as when I opened it fresh and still smells fresh like the day I opened it...it is still very effective.
how many time you can continue to use this medicine? I have one box Rowatinex Capsule bought from Germany since 1997. I ask if it's possible to this medicine now? PLEASE HELP ME ## That's quite old and it should probably be disposed of at this time. If you still need to take it, you should pick up some newer product. Learn more dietary supplement details here. Even in the original, factory sealed container, most capsules and tablets are only good for about 3 years from the date of purchase. And this is just a dietary supplement, not an actual medication. It's claimed to help with urinary tract spasms. Why have you kept it around so long?
little white pill on one side has a line and on other side has a box with a m in it ## let me no what this pill is little white has a line down one side and a box with a m in it on the other side ## Freind thinks she has wrong medication ## I am still trying to find out about the 10mg morphine, CAN it melt in your mouth and is it possible someone scraped the coating off so that this would happen? ## Still waiting on replys does anyone have answer(s) ## As to the tablet with boxed M on it, are there any other markings, such as numbers on it? There is a company that uses the logo of an M in a box, but they also have other numbers on their tablets and I would need that information in order to identify it. As a pill that melts in someone's mouth, are you sure that wasn't Methadone? ...
I have found a Lee's Save The Baby 1939 old medicine bottle in an old house that we have in the back. We were cleaning out the house and found it. The bottle still has some of the medicine inside and it;s still in the box. Can anyone tell me how much this would be worth and where I can possibly sell it? Thanks. If anyone can help me please use my e-mail address: xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy}. Thanks again!! Any help on this would be appreciated. ## Hi, I have seen used bottles of Lee's Save the Baby sold on ebay - If you still have it, I would be interested in purchasing it. We are putting together a "goody" bag for my mother's upcoming 80th birthday and Save the Baby was always used in our family until the FDA took it off the market. Thanks. ## Did anyone have Save...
I cant figure this symbol out on this pill its small, whit a line on one side and the other looks like a large P with a x in the P or Rx and it has a box around it ## I have been searching for awhile and still haven't found any results for this one. Where was it found, as in the general area? This may help us to narrow it down. With an imprint like that, I am prone to suspect that it is probably something available over the counter. Does anyone else recognize this tablet?
I have taken all sumatriptans ever made probably with Dr. reddys being used currently. I have taken imitrex since it was invented and still am in awe of its effectiveness. Yesterday I opened a box of two prefilled auto injectors with the usual results. So today I took the second and shot and within ten minutes began itching with welts and swelling. One hand was blueish with nausea/vomiting and abdominal cramping. There was absolutely nothing different than 100 other times. It was bad enough I will be concerned to take it. Has this happened to anyone else? ## I am very sorry about what you've experienced. However, our bodies do change with time, so such an experience is entirely plausible, according to NIH reports, though only a medical professional can give you a definitive answer a...
Hey ive been taking fruta planta for a month. I lost 15 lbs...i stopped taking it bcuz the box says some crap about periods (u all know the box makes no sense) but i was just wondering if anyone takes it during their cycle cuz i really dont want to stop for a week but if i have too i will. ## Goldie, I have taken them with my cycle and there has been no change. The weight still comes off. Of course I still have the cramps and feel bloated. But for me the pills still work. Good luck! ## The U.S. FDA has issued a warning regarding the use of this product and the manufacturer is supposed to be recalling it from the market. It was found to contain an undeclared drug ingredient, Sibutramine, which was pulled from the market in the U.S. due to the fact that it has caused severe cardiac proble...
I was given three 500mg tablets of azitromicina cinfa written on box is comprimidos recubiertos con pelicula EFG by a dr in Spain 3-4 weeks ago i took them as i was on holiday and had cold cough phlegm etc for two and half weeks and couldn’t get rid of it so went to the dr in spain who perscribed the above tablets. I have just noticed that i only took two of the tablets there is still one in the box. I believe these are anti biotics so does this mean next time I need to take anti biotics they won’t work because i didn’t finish the course? Should I take this single tablet now three to four weeks later? i became quite well after taking the two tablets and I don’t take anti biotics often (if the these are anti biotics) hope you can advise thanks. ## Yes, they are an...
I'm looking for the old formulation of Actifed. Are there any countries that still sell it? I know you can use it to make drugs, but it's the only thing that works for me (and it helps me sleep too). I would not have ANY problem having the FBI at my house if I could get some. They'd be sitting on my shelf just exactly like my 16 bottles of shampoo, 42 bars of soap and 18 boxes of bandaids (I'm not a hoarder, I just hate running out of stuff...and stupidly, before that stuff went away, I didn't buy a ton of it). The stuff they sell behind the counter is a reformulation....it's different. ## Actually, Janet, those are the ingredients in the new formulation. The original Actifed contained Pseudoephedrine and Tripolodine. Ref: The new formulation [NDC 27854-119] con...
we purchase insulin for our dog in mexico. when unopened can it be shipped without ice? ## While it is possible to mail insulin, you would likely still need to pack unopened vials in an insulated container with ice packs to ensure its safe arrival. Perhaps a smaller lunch pale inside of a tight box would be a feasible option. Others mentioned utilizing a styrofoam box with the vials secured in bubble wrap and a few cold packs. I've also read a lot of reviews from those having success with UPS ground, but you may want to contact the company you decide to ship with so they can give you proper coordinates on shipping and arrival times. I hope this helps!
I have a box of recently expired K-Lyte effervescent tablets individually wrapped. 25mEq elemental Potassium (975mg) as potassium citrate. Expired Nov 2015. Would they be safe to use since they are individually sealed and only 4 months past expiry? ## Hello, Lynda! How are you? They don't become dangerous, once expired, but they can lose some efficacy and may not work as well as they did, when new, to raise potassium levels. Unless your doctor approves of your still using them, it would be best to dispose of them and obtain a new supply. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effect as being nausea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for the reply. I appreciate the information.
I have moderate stenosis in my main coronary artery, also in other arteries some luminal irregularites, have had attacks of artery spasm, stress test was fine. Could the irregularities be due to artery spasm? I have ticked all boxes for prinzmetal angina but doc still doesn't seem to think these attacks are heart related. I am concerned that because i do have heart disease can the angina be dangerous? I have had the attacks on and off since 2009. I was in the hospital twice. Nitro seems to help. I am still worried. ## I don't have an answer for you but I exactly what your going through. I am writing this as I sit in a hospital room just for exactly what you have. My last doctor also didn't believe that I have spastic artery disease. My angiogram report was just made availabl...
WHAT ARE SIDE EFFECTS AND HOW DO I TAKE THEM ## I was not able to locate any side effects about this drug, however I did locate generic instructions on how to take adelvag. Take one tablet of 15 mg per day orally for up to 24 months. Remember this is the instructions on the box, but I would still speak with your doctor, to see if this is the right amount for you. If you have any other questions or information to add? Please post back.
