My doctor prescribes potassium cl tb 20meq sr mc. The doctor suggests that because of a problem in my esopog. I should use liquid. If I buy from a health food store what is the equivalent? ## Hello, Darr! How are you? There is no over the counter equivalent for the prescription dosages. However, your doctor can prescribe it for you, it is available via prescription and most pharmacies should have it in stock, or be able to order it for you. The FDA warns that oral potassium can be very harsh on the stomach, so it should be taken with food. Is there anything else I can help with?

Small round blue pill with no imprints. ## Hello! How are you? If there are no imprints, we can actually rule it out as being a U.S. prescription tablet. They are all required by law to have imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Tablets without an imprint are most likely over the counter products, though there is a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. Where was it found? Some over the counter products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else have an idea of what this tablet might be?

What could be the result of combining Hydrocodone with Temazapam, Zolpidem,Propranolol, Simvastatin, and Venlafaxine? Combine this with 100 mg diphenhydramine, Alteril, & Estroven. ## Well, the first thing that jumps out at me is the Diphenydramine, why is she taking 100mgs of that? That's usually not recommended in doses over 50mgs. Learn more Diphenhydramine details here. And there can be some issues with taking all of these, but it really depends on the dosages and her tolerance to them. So, the next question is, are they all prescribed by the same doctor and filled by the same pharmacy? Or has she been using multiple doctors and pharmacies to get them? ## Wow...zolpidem with benadryl??? The hydro is fine and the others but not simultaneously. Zolpidem @5 mgs is stronger than ...

Okay, so I have a prescription that is exactly 1 month old tomorrow. It is for seven Vyvanse 50 mg and in 2 days I will be getting my normal monthly script for 60 mg Vyvanse. Can I fill the 50 mg for 7 days today without having a problem filling my original script of 60 mg for 30 days? ## Most likely not, it could be seen as suspicious, essentially you'd be going down in your dose, then suddenly back up. The FDA warns that his medication is a controlled substance that carries the risk of being habit forming, it may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and weight loss. Why were you prescribed two different dosages? Are they from the same doctor?

is tylenol er a prescription medication? ## It depends on the dosage, there is an over the counter formulation sold as Tylenol Arthritis Pain formula, it contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen in a time released formulation and is sold over the counter. Higher dosages, however, require a doctor's prescription. Is there anything else I can help with?

How many mg is this dbol ## I'm sorry, but since these are not prescription products, they are not listed with the FDA and there is no central databases that identifies them and their dosages. Your description is also very vague and there are many tablets on the market that meet the criteria. Where was it obtained?

My most recent refill of Metoprolol 25 mg came with white oval shaped pills twice the size of the previous prescription--I had none left from that supply to compare. Could they possibly be different dosages? ## It could be, or it could just be that the company uses different fillers, so their tablets are larger. What are the markings on the tablets? If you can post back with this information, it will enable me to check the dosage for you. Common side effects to this medication may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach pain. Learn more: ## Lr. white, round pill with the no. W 735, this is suppose to be Metoprolol succ er 50 mg. Can you tell me if this is correct. Thank you. ## Carolyn, yes, that is correct, that tablet contains 50mgs of time released Metoprolol. Common side e...

I need to know the dosages for a 3 year old for this medicine ## I am sorry, we cannot tell you anything from your RX number, that is an internal control number used only by your pharmacy or pharmacy chain, it is not a universal number, so no one else can possibly identify the medication from it. If this prescription were to run out and you got a new one from your doctor and got it filled, the number on the bottle or package would change again, that is simply an internal pharmacy ID. I will gladly research the medication and find relevant dosage information for you, if you could provide the imprint from the drug itself if it is a tablet or capsule, or if you provide the name and dosage of the drug you have. By the way, just an FYI, I get my prescriptions filled at Eckerd and right now I...

Why is Maxifed not over the counter? Both ingredients are... ## There are certain dosages of some drugs that the FDA feels are unsafe to be taken, without a doctor's prescription and supervision. Ibuprofen is a good example of another medication that is available both ways, over the counter in the U.S., you can buy it in doses up to 200mgs each, but anything over that requires a prescription. Are there any other questions?

how strong is tussionex ext rel sus? is is stronger than last one i got that said hycodone? ## Hello, Richard! How are you? Without knowing the dosages, I can't answer that. What is the dosage on the prescription? Tussionex also contains Hydrocodone with Chlorpheniramine, so it's likely close to what you've taken before. The FDA lists this medication as being a cough suppressant, but it does contain a narcotic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation.

is tab a vita a prescription ## Hello, Tab-A-Vite is an "over-the-counter" multivitamin supplement containing iron. It is used to treat or prevent vitamin deficiency due to poor diet, certain illnesses, or during pregnancy. I believe most multivitamins are available OTC unless they contain some sort of additional ingredient that has to be given in controlled dosages. I hope this helps!

Why is this prescription form of Folate, B-12 and B-6 prescribed? Why not over the counter? ## Since you didn't provide a name brand or dosing, I can't be completely certain about this one in particular, but some of them are prescription only due to the amount of the vitamins that they contain. Some dosages aren't appropriate for someone that doesn't suffer a deficiency, as getting to much of some of them, especially B12 can be very dangerous. Learn more B vitamin details here. Are there any other questions or comments?

Does anyone know what the dosages are for phenchrom. I've been reading about it and want to try it but my doctor doesn't know the dosage amounts to prescribe. Can anyone help with this? ## Phen/Chrom contains Phentermine and Chromium Picolinate, the Chromium is added, because it is believed to help improve the use of insulin in the body, which can also aid with weight problems. It's not listed in any prescription drug information, so I am not even sure if this combination is available in the U.S. Have you tried asking your pharmacist about it? ## 37.5 is my dose... i love it!! ## I have high blood pressure which I take meds for and it's under control.... if I take phen chrome will this effect my high blood pressure? Is there anyone else taking Keppra and CBD? Do you have any side effects? ## At this time, CBD has not been known to cause any extremely problematic issues when taken with most prescription medications, but it can also vary from person to person, and be dependent on the dosages of the medications, the class of medications, and etc. The FDA does warn, however, that it can increase the risk of experiencing some side effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, sedation, and difficulty concentrating, as well as the severity of such symptoms. Ref: CBD Information As with anything else, it is always best to check with your doctor, before taking it. My doctor cleared me to take it for nerve pain, but I don't drive, and I work from home, so I wasn't at high risk the first couple times I too...

can a 72 year old woman with diabetes take 3 capsules @500 mg Tylenol at one time if total of 8 capsules a day are not exceeded ## Yes, the worst it might do is upset your stomach or make you a little drowsy. Many people have prescriptions for Ibuprofen which range in dosages from 600mgs each tablet and up. I am currently only 800mgs Prescription Ibu and usually take two tablets at once, so total of 1600mgs. ## Betty: Why would you want to do this. First, speak with your health care providers. Then, follow proper dosing directions. Diabetics must be very careful regarding all substance intake due to hiddent sugars, carbs, etc. Remember, tylenol contains acetaminphen which can cause liver damage in excess. The mgs in Tylenol and the mgs of ibuprophen are different! ## Betty: Remember...t...

Can you give human Amox tr cla to cats with inflammation gums. ## Hi Katlady, Amoxicillin and Clavulanate potassium (Amox TR-K CLV) is a prescription antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. And yes it is something that may be prescribed by veterinarians to cats/dogs alike in respective dosages. However, according to Dr. Foster and Smith Pharmacy, the human form of this medication reportedly contains more Clavulanate than the veterinary form. Taking that into account, I think it'd probably be best to let a vet determine how much is safe via an in person evaluation. Hope your cat is doing well since you last posted!

What is the difference in the 2? I have gotten 2 different prescriptions for hydroco/apap 5-500 and one says generic for vicodin and the other says generic for lortab 5. ## PS I got one in August and then one again Yesterday (December). It was different locations as well, would this be a factor in the difference? ## Initially, when these medications were still under full patent, and not available as generics, Lortab and Vicodin were both brand names for different dosages of Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, but since this medication is now available as a generic, pharmacies can pretty much pick, and choose what name brand they refer to, when dispensing the generic. In other words, as long as the dosage is correct, it doesn't mean anything, and doesn't matter which name brand they ...
