3 REPLIES UpdatedCan I take Tylenol rapid relief with naproxen? Just had meniscus surgery and they gave me naproxen to take. Not cutting it for the pain in my thigh!!! I heard of Tylenol rapid relief and I'm hoping I can take naproxen with it since it works so fast? ## They can. both be taken, if your doctor approves of you doing so, sometimes they Acetaminophen, and an NSAID are given together to help better control pain, and swelling. Ref: Naproxen and Acetaminophen Information You may also experience side effects, according to FDA reports, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?
1 REPLY UpdatedI found some pills in my kid's room that are white oblong tablets with 5500 on one side & nothing on the other. What is this pill? ## The marking is actually "S500" instead of "5500" (first letter S instead of number 5). As others have stated, it contains Acetaminophen 500 mg (NDC 68210-0013 among others). Here is an example of what a box may look like, but it could be packaged under multiple brands. Inactive Ingredients: - Hypromellose 2208 (15000 Mpa.s) - Magnesium Stearate - Microcrystalline Cellulose - Polyethylene Glycol, Unspecified - Povidone, Unspecified - Starch, Corn - Stearic Acid - Talc - Titanium Dioxide (Since this is an over the counter product, inactive ingredients may differ by manufacturer). Reference: DailyMed ## Tylenol 500 mg..its just a gen...

I was thinking Tylenol? ## They're Tylenol arthritis pills that you can buy over the counter. Extra strength tylenol is 500mg & tylenol arthritis is 650mg. ## What is a white tablet marked L5B3? Could it be Advil or something else? ## white oblong pill with rounded edges and stamped L5B3 is extra strength Tylenol 60 mg. ## Extra Strength Tylenol
8 REPLIES UpdatedWhite round pill imprinted with a number "3" on one side and "93" over "150" on the other side. ## white pill with number 3 on top and 93 over 150 on back of it ## This is a Tylenol 3. It contains 300 mg of Tylenol and 30 mg of Codeine. It is a narcotic pain killer. NDC: 00093-0150 Manufacturer: Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inactive Ingredients: corn starch silicon dioxide croscarmellose sodium magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose ## tylenol 3 (with only the 3 printed on tablet) and tylenol 3 with 93/150 on other side - What is the difference? Because the one with the 3 only I can take 1 every 5-6 hrs, but the 93/150 I have to take 2 every 4 hrs - What's up with that? ## This tablet contains 300mgs of Acetaminophen, and 30mgs of Codeine. 3 REPLIES UpdatedI am looking for an MD or Pain clinic that will prescribe pain medication in Rhode Island. I have 4 herniated discs, nerve damage in my leg, severe migraines. My former Md said that he could not longer prescribe due to the regulations, I dont want to have to move, that would be crazy to have to go through that, but I also do not want to continue living night and day in Agony, with not one Md that has any compassion, it seems all they care about is to look out for themselves, I only take 2 pain medications that I believe are both in class 1, but when you talk to a doctor about pain, they tell you to take tylenol. I am tired of theses doctors just caring about themselves, if you have a patient like myself, that has the MRI's and Catscans to show what my pain level is, they should be a...
259 REPLIES UpdatedSwitched pain doctors and went from Tylenol-4 four times a day to Norco 5/325 four times a day. Will the level of pain relief be the same, less or more? ## It really depends on how it works for you. Have you tried it, yet? According to NIH conversion tablets, you'd need 9mgs of Hydrocodone (Norco) to be equal to each Tylenol 4 you were taking. The FDA warns that this medications carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. ## FDA wants to prescribe the more expensive ones. Oxytocin is still legal, yet, those haven't been taken from the shelves, and that is what kids mostly, were addicted to. It's awful that we have to suffer, for what kids done. Stealing from their grandparents cabinets,...
2 REPLIES UpdatedIt says do not take if you are taking other meds with MAOI. What do those initials stand for? ## It's a class of medication, a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor, they are a type of antidepressant. ## I would be shocked, but not surprised, if you were prescribed such powerful medication without a detailed, clear explanation of its side effects. It is unfortunate that many doctors treat patients with mental illness like children, incapable of understanding their own condition and medications. If this happened to me, I would find another doctor. And never take drugs from someone else's prescription. it is not only illegal but can be deadly. Note: I am a complete layman. Do not take my advice without first consulting with a licensed mental health professional. ## What are MAOI medications...
5 REPLIES UpdatedWhen you have the option of taking a drug sublingually, does taking it in that fashion in any way dissolve away or lessen the impact of the inactive ingredients, rendering the intended drug effects more equal between brands? ## I'd also like to add whether the bioavailability of the drug between two brands becomes more identical when the drug is administered sublingually as opposed to swallowed. ## Hello Schleprock, All routes of administration of the same dosage of a drug regardless of brand are required by the FDA to meet a standardized number of the active ingredient entering your blood stream. For example all generic versions of 100mg tylenol (acetaminophen), regardless of administration route, are required by the FDA to have +/- 20% of amount of acetaminophen in your blood stre...
5 REPLIES UpdatedThese were given to me as Tylenol #4, however I cannot find the information on them anywhere... I have went to "Pill finder" and others with no luck. There is no score on them, and they have on one side only the number 437. The other side is perfectly flat and smooth. Oh and the pills are medium (Average) in size and have a small bevel around the edges... They are about the thickness of an aspirin... Can anyone help? ## The only white tablet that I can find with 437 on it, and no scoring, is listed as containing 20mgs of Olmesartan, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure. Ref: DailyMed Inactive ingredients may include: Microcrystalline Cellulose Low-substituted Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Unspecified Lactose Monohydrate Hydrogenated Castor Oil Magnesium Stearate H...
1 REPLY Updatedpill ## This is nowhere to be found in the prescription databases, therefore, there is a good chance that it is an over-the-counter medication. I may be stretching it here, but I almost think that most medications that are over the counter with L as the starting letter is typically a generic tylenol or acetaminophen. ## The tablet with the L 631 marking is listed as having contained 500mgs of Naproxen Sodium, a generic or store brand of Aleve, it is available both over the counter, and by prescription. NDC: 45802-0631 This tablet has been discontinued. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and bruising. Ref: Naproxen Information Is there anything I can help with?
2 REPLIES Updatedred gray blue capsule ## I am also needing the name and purpose of this pill, I found it hidden in a family members car and they should not be taking anything but their heart and diabetes medicine. Very concern. ## i found this in my car after some people were in it. i am trying to find out what this pill is for and why they would have it. thx. ## Tylenol Rapid release ## I believe the marking you are looking at is Ty 500, the stylized why can easily be mistaken for an r, and the identification provided by Steve is correct. It contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen in a rapid release formulation. It's sold under the brand name Tylenol Rapid Release. NDC 50580-0488). Inactive Ingredients: - Benzyl Alcohol - Butylparaben - Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium - Starch, Corn - D&c Yellow No. 10...
4 REPLIES Updatedlooks like OTC tylenol but has no markings or imprints ## If there is no imprint, it is going to be very difficult to narrow down what this is. We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they all must have markings to enable their identification. However, it could be an over the counter item or even a foreign medication. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## i found a white rather thick white oblong pill with no markings on either side. it is smooth. I was just wondering what it could be. ## Could be Tylenol 3.. not from USA, not regulated by FDA ## Large off-white oblong thick pill with no marking or scoring. Can't identify. What might this be? ## Could it be a vitamin with no marks?
5 REPLIES UpdatedHi, I found this white tablet (not a capsule). It’s a bit narrower and longer than most. Broken in half, the inside is a light brown color and has a peculiar smell (inside, once broken). An exhaustive search online yields nothing that tells me what it definitely could be. Anyone know? ## Btw it’s more of an oblong shape than oval, similar to an excedrin or tylenol, just slightly narrower and slightly longer. ## Also, it has no markings. No imprint or numbers or anything like that. It also lacks any kind of scoring. ## Hello Jimbo, In the United States all perscription and over the counter drugs are required by the FDA to have an imprint. If the pill that you found does not have an imprint it is possible that it is some sort of vitamin, energy pill or a foreign drug. If you a...
5 REPLIES UpdatedWhat is a blue pill with imprint PTA20? ## What shape is the pill? Is there any other markings on he pill? ## Blue (light blue) oblong solid tablet (capsule shaped, but not a capsule) PTA20 on one side and no imprint on the other. Poison control could not ID, but found in a friend's stepson's room (with a history of drug abuse). Please help! Thank you! ## About the blue oblong pill w/ PTA20, it's genaric tylenol pm available at sams club ## The blue tablet is oblong.
4 REPLIES UpdatedI've never taken or seen methamphetamine but it has shown up on my drug screen. Can any Theraflu products cause me to fail the urine test that shows up as AMP/MAMP? Please help. ## No, if they contained it or any derivatives, they would not be able to be sold over the counter. Have you talked to your doctor about what might show up in this manner? There have been a lot of posts recently about false positives, which leads me to believe there may be a bad batch of test out there on the market. What type of test was it, urine or blood? ## I took a drug test I don't smoke or drink or anything. I took thera-flu and day-quil only and my quick urine test came back positive. Now they are going to send it off for further testing. I would never do drugs! I am not that stupid. How can this...
6 REPLIES UpdatedIt's a round lavender pill with no imprint on the pill itself. ## Sorry, I can't find anything under that name in prescription databases or otherwise. If there are no imprints on the pill, then it is not a prescription drug from the US, of any kind. All prescriptions sold legally in the US must have, by law, a unique imprint for ID purposes. And I am afraid that since I can't find that name listed anywhere, I am unable to tell you anything about this, sorry. ## Without Rumoquin NF I literally could not get out of bed and walk in the morning for almost an hour. I lived in Mexico for 8 years and suffer with arthritis in all the joints of both legs and my right hand. This is not a pain killer. It is the best anti-inflamatory I have ever used. When I returned to live in the US I...
62 REPLIES Updated3 color capsule red, grey in the middle and green. with marking on red side TY and green side S-CP ## The capsuled marked TY S CP contains Acetaminophen 325 mg + Phenylephrine 5mg. (NDC 00045-0229) Manufacturer: McNeil Consumer Healthcare The imprint "TY S CP" stands for "Tylenol Sinus Congestion & Pain Daytime" ## I am not 100% certain, but it sounds like a Tylenol Rapid Release, they all have the TY marking, followed by other markings on the other color. The gray band is meant to allow the medication to release faster, so you don't have to wait as long for them to work. These contain Acetaminophen as the active ingredient, a common pain reliever and fever reducer. Does anyone else know for sure? ## Thank you I found it finally....it is- Tylenol Rapid Release G...
3 REPLIES UpdatedMy friend has these headache pills from Canada and i was wondering what they might be. He says Tylenol with Codeine but I don't know? ## Tylenol 1 (Acetaminophen) otc ## Without any markings, they can't be identified with any certainty, but Acetaminophen with Codeine, in a low dose, is freely available over the counter in Canada. You can purchase it in most stores. I saw them, when I've been there and there are several that match this description. Its side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. ## My dad had a bottle of hydrocodone pills and in this container at the bottom came out some pills that were skinny and white no imprints or numbers on them. My dad and I are wondering what they were. This bottle came from the pharmacy. ## I would take th...
