In early 2019, I began training for a marathon in Vancouver, BC, scheduled for May 2, 2019. Additionally, I was averaging 250 Grouse Grinds per year (often referred to as the "natural stair master"). At 65 years old, I was in very good health for my age. Being able to complete the Grouse Grind in 35-40 minutes put me in the top 10% of all participants. However, in April 2019, I started taking Epclusa. To provide some background: I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 1973 in Ontario, Canada. After this diagnosis, I stopped using drugs and changed my lifestyle habits. Despite the fact that doctors and specialists confirmed I was in great shape, the Canadian Medical Association strongly recommended that I take Epclusa. This turned out to be a big mistake. Within one week of starting ...

Im halfway through a 12 week course and am exhausted for no reason.... I have only been sick twice from the drug but other than that a dull headache with sort of fogginess and extreme tiredness is really the only side effects for me... slightly upset in the stomach but I was before I started.... I was just reading that others felt tired too, well I hope it goes away soon... I thought I was just getting fat and lazy... hehe ## Everything you've listed can be normal side effects of this medication, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience stomach pain and diarrhea. They should go away, once you finish your course of treatment, but many people have reported that it sometimes takes a few months. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I started taking Harvoni 2 weeks ago. I...

Heparin, also known as unfractionated heparin (UFH), is a medication and naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan.[2][3] Since heparins depend on the activity of antithrombin, they are considered anticoagulants.[4] Specifically it is also used in the treatment of heart attacks and unstable angina.[2] It is given by injection into a vein or under the skin.[2] Other uses include inside test tubes and kidney dialysis ma...

Do methadone clinics check for hep-c in the annual blood draws? Kinda trying to figure out when I contracted it. ## Not usually, in most cases, they only check for medication compliance, according to FDA regulations. Methadone also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have you had any other possible exposures, such as in a hospital, your doctor's office, or intimately? ## Rubbish. The blood test that is ordered by Methadone clinics is very narrow in scope, and is used to assess the condition of your liver due to increased risk of Hepatitis C. They can also, with your consent, check for HIV and Hep C.

Looking for a medication called Blue Green for hapatit C treatment. The name might not be accurate, but Blue Green is part of the name. PLease help. Thanks ## I'm sorry, but there are no medications listed under any names like that in the U.S. prescription databases. Where are you located? It may be a regional product. There is also an over the counter supplement called Blue-Green Algae, but that is not going to treat hepatitis.

Symptoms new treatments and how effective are these treatments and is there a cure. How many types of hepatitis are there ## Hello, Amentha! How are you? I think the most successful new meducation is Harvoni, which many people reporting a full 'cure' of Hep C, though a few have reported relapsing, after completing their course of treatment. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and diarrhea. There are 2 Hepatitis viruses, as listed by the NIH, A; B and C. Not all are 'curable', so to speak and no doctor can promise an actual cure. Can anyone that's been on this treatment chime in? ## Oh and I forgot about the other two, D and E, though they are very rare.

Hepatitis (plural hepatitides) is a medical condition defined by the inflammation of the liver and characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the organ. My baby sister diagnosed HEPA C positive. I need to know what's the best medicine to protect her liver. I am desperate. ## Hello, Hanah! How are you and your sister? I understand that you're concerned, but the best thing to do is to let her doctor(s) handle this. All of us want the best for our loved ones, but going to her doctor and trying to demand that they prescribe her any given medication could actually do more harm than good. Some mediations should be reserved and only used, when others haven't worked. If she's asymptomatic and her liver function is normal, she may not require any treatment. However, they will most likely recommend that she be vaccinated against Hep A and B, plus stay away from alcohol and any medications that may be toxic to her liver. Are there ...

I have been taking blood thiners for the past 4 days now. Ever since I have been taking the blood thiner blood comes out in my urine. Does the blood thiner cause this to happen? And if so, why? ## From what I've read, if you can see blood in your urine, you should probably get an evaluation as soon as possible. At least to make sure that there's nothing serious taking place. Common drugs that may cause visible urinary blood include, but are not limited to: Blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin, or heparin), penicillin, and the anti-cancer drug cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan). Does anyone happen to know why blood thinners cause this, or Is it simply a matter of blood viscosity?

In enzymology, a heparin lyase (EC 4.2.2.7) is an enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of polysaccharides containing 1,4-linked D-glucuronate or L-iduronate residues and 1,4-alpha-linked 2-sulfoamino-2-deoxy-6-sulfo-D-glucose residues to give oligosaccharides with terminal 4-deoxy-alpha-D-gluc-4-enuronosyl groups at their non-reducing ends. This enzyme belongs to the family of lyases, specifically those carbon-oxygen lyases acting on polysaccharides. The systematic name of this enzyme class is...

I am taking livolin for a liver problem (Hepatitis B) and have been advised to take it for a month. I want to know if chronic Hepatitis B can be cured? Also, what are the side effects of livolin? ## good morning, I have hepatitis b for more than 7 years now, can I take livolin forte. and for how long. can it help ## Hello Celibba, I'm sorry to hear that you got a Hepatitis B infection. I have good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news, I was unable to find any credible case studies showing that Livolin can help cure Hepatitis B. The good news is that Hepatitis B is an infection that attacks your liver, but when treated it often does not stay long. Livolin Forte is a foreign supplement not regulated by the FDA which reportedly aids the liver by maintaining tissues in th...
