I take Linzess 1/2 hr. before breakfast. When should I take my other meds. Levothyroxine I take alone. I also take Furosemide, Januvia, Ramopri, Atenanal, insulin, and Duloxetine . THANK YOU ! ## Hi Eileen, According the University of Maryland's drug interaction checker, there are interactions listed between the following drug combinations: Furosemide + Ramipril: Taking the two together can reportedly cause low blood pressure. It may also increase your risk of certain side effects. Umm.edu recommends contacting your doctor if you experience diversions from your usual blood pressure or unusual weight gain. Januvia (Sitagliptin) + Levothyroxine: Taking Levothyroxine with anti-diabetic agents such as Januvia / Insulin, may cause them to not work as well. Umm.edu recommends contacting y...

I am a type 2 diabetic and I'm taking other diabetic meds along with Invocana. I'm taking other meds, such as Basaglar, and Victosa. Do these drugs interact negatively with the other diabetic drugs I'm taking? ## Hello Ladd, I was able to find 2 interactions between the medicines you listed. I have put both of them below. Basaglar (insulin glargine) -> Victoza (liraglutide) Using liraglutide together with insulin glargine can increase the risk of hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. Let your doctor know if you experience hypoglycemia during treatment. Symptoms of hypoglycemia include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nervousness, confusion, tremor, nausea, hunger, weakness, perspiration, palpitation, and rapid heartbeat. Looks like H86 can be found through a company called Santa Cruz Biotechnology. Says it's insulin-based, is it the kind everyone is talking about on here? I am taking Insulin (Novomox 50:50) and taking Reclide + Lindagliptin 5mg at morning. At noon I am taking Vogilbose combined with Metformin, and at night again Insulin + Reclide. Since last 4 months I have been suffering with allergic pimples in buttocks, groin, joint and head. For that, I have been taking medicines from the dermatologist but the same symptoms are recurring. Unable to find the reasons. Wondering whether these are due to meds or other reasons? Please guide me.

I would be so grateful if someone could help me figure out why I'm sleepy all the time! I am taking opana 10mg 2x daily, with vicodan for breakthrough pain. I am 65 yrs old, female and also taking many other pills including paxil, lasix, simvastatin, insulin (type II diabetic) lisinopril, glipizide and potassium. I have been on several different pain meds such as fentanyl 50mcg/hr (it eventually made me feel like i was going crazy) buprenorphine, oxycodone which worked very well but I was dipping into that bottle a bit too often. Thanks for any help you can give. ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? Feeling sleepy is a very common thing with virtually all narcotic opiates, such as the Opana and Vicodin that you're taking. I have been on pradaxa for about 5 months now and have noticed a thinning of my hair in the front. I am 69 and maybe it is just getting older. I have had no side effects at this time. I also take pacerone and my afib is under control. I did notice that my diabeties meds seem to be working better now as I have had to cut way down on my insulin after starting these meds. ## Hello, Diane! How are you? Actually, it's usually the Pacerone that causes the Alopecia and it is reversible, if the medication is discontinued or replaced with another option. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What else is available?

Hi . I will be going on a trip to Honduras next month. I have the travel cooler to transport it there. But the hotel in the town I'll be at doesn't have refrigerators in the rooms. I've been looking for a way to keep it cool while I'm there for 10 days. I've looked on line for small medication coolers for meds like Insulin.. I have found 2 different products, but range in price from $55-90. Has anyone had any experience using these? Or have any suggestions for something else? thanks ## Hi, Sharon! Hi. I was just wondering if anyone with diabetes taking vyvanse feels like the meds cause them to feel low even though numbers are fine? I just started it today and have felt low all day. ## Vyvanse can cause its own side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and anorexia. What medication do you take for your diabetes? What are your blood sugar levels showing? If you just started it, today, it is normal for you to experience more side effects, it can take 4 to 6 weeks for them to wear off and for you to feel more normal. ## I take fiasp and tresiba for my insulin and as for my numbers they usually run high at around 11 or 12. I am also starting a pump in 2 weeks so that should bring my numbers down. Yesterday was my secon...

Hi,, I am chris, I am just a newbie here., but i wanted to share you something that maybe could change your life too., I was diagnosed with type II diabetes close to 4 years now.. I started taking my meds and was doing ok.. then I guess when I felt better I stopped taking meds. I would take them only when I felt really sick and like I first did when diagnosed. Over the years I was on different med...meformin, actos, and more others that I can't remember... and I was also on 70/30 humilin (sp) at the time. I would take a dose of insulin..My mom would always tell me u need to see a doctor. I was so stubborn and would not do so.. and then my friend referred me to his friend who is an Endocrinologist., I arranged a schedule for a visit and check-up. Im tired of follow-up check ups., I k...

My father has a fasting sugar of 99. He is taking Insulin and after eating he is taking Glycomet GP 2 . After that he is very tired. Should he have to stop taking Glycomet GP 2 or the Insulin? ## Tiredness can be due to a number of different things, including your father's choice of foods whether he is on insulin or not. It is known to be pretty severe if one were to accidentally overdose on Glycomet (Metformin). This leads me to wonder if there are any sort of interactions between Metformin and food that might cause it's effects to be increased or amplified. Also, the fact that he is on a few different medications could be a bit overwhelming on his system. If he's able to cycle through his meds, I think it may help determine the cause of this tiredness. However I wouldn...

WHITE PILL M 234 ## My daughter was insulin resistant and went on the makers diet and does the metforman and lost 25 pounds in 30 days and got pregnant which was why they thought she might be insulin resistant. She had had 5 misscarriages. She is almost term with no problems and I am very overweight and wonder if I am insulin resistant. ## Yes, the tablet mentioned above is Metformin 500mgs, a generic for Glucophage. As to whether or not you are insulin resistant, the only way to find out for sure would be to speak to your doctor about your concerns and let them decide if testing for the condition is warranted. No one on here could diagnose you over the internet. ## My husband has been taking metforman hcl500, and he is loosing his appetite. This is the only new meds he is taking. he ha...

Hi. My husband has just got home from a 7 day stay in the hospital, where he was diagnosed as having a large blood clot in his shoulder and a smaller one behind his knee. He is an insulin dependant diabetic, VERY overweight (at the moment at least. That one, we are going to work on asap). Tests yesterday revealed the clots have responded very well. He has been placed on an initial dosage of 4mg of sintrom daily, and has been given sintrom in the hospital. The doctors were obviously aware of the insulin (and metformin) medications, also that he has meds for high blood pressure. Reading the advisory with the sintrom, I couldn't find any counter indications to his medication regime. Having checked the internet advice I am now very concerned that he's going to have adverse reactions...
