My son had knee surgery. He has been struggling with nausea. He was able to eat some crackers and sip water. Concerned that his pain block was wearing off he took 10mg of the prescribed OxyContin. He threw up 29 minutes later. I am concerned that this wasn't enough time for it to get in his system. I left a message for his doctor, but he hasn't returned the phone call- after hours on a Friday. ## Oxycontin is a time released formulation, so the medication is slowly released over a period of 12 hours. Thus, if he vomited up the pill, he would no longer be getting any of the medication. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. I am wondering how many days should I stop taking suboxone because I don't have enough to last till my appointment. I want to know if I stop for a few days, will I feel better when I take it? I can take at least 5 suboxone per day and still feel like I need more. I don't know why it is that way. I want to be able to take a lower dose, and I need answers. Has anyone been told from their doctor, to take Oxy ER Time-release10MG, at bedtime as a sleeping aid? For the last ten years, I've had a Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Metastatic Tumor Cancer, and lately having anxiety-panic attacks, with my rare cancer, I can not have any anti-anxiety meds, it floods me with excessive serotonin levels. I also have diabetes, (getting up a few times,waking me, having a hard time going back to sleep!) Pseudo-gout, Diverticulosis, and at 62, Osteoarthritis in neck/shoulder. I can not use Ambien 5 MG. it doesn't work for me, and usually slept less than 3 or 4 hrs on it anyway. I took 500mg Keflex for 28 days for a cyst back in September 2013. The cyst did not respond so I was sent to an infectious disease doctor who said I had P. Mirabilis infection and he changed my antibiotic (That one didn't work either). Long story short.. during the use of the Keflex my leg muscles became very weak and sore. They are still weak and sore and getting worse. I told my doctor the backs of my legs felt so tight like the muscles were stretched too far like rubber bands. I usually take my new dose at the same time every morning. I have been taking 10/325 oxycondone. Today I was prescribed 10 mg OxyContin OP. I am used to getting all 10 mg instantly within 10-20 minutes. When I took one of the OP's I did not get any relief or feel any effects for almost 4-5 hours later. This is unacceptable for me. I have been taking Sprintec for my first month. I am writing this because I am concerned about taking it 100% correctly. I was prescribed 1000 mg amoxicillin for a badly infected finger. The pharmacist didn't have the exact drug so gave me amox tr-k clv 500 mg plus amoxicillin 500 mg to take together. The bottle for amoxicillin also says augmentin 500 mg. Within an hour of taking the first dosage, I became violently ill. I immediately discontinued both products but remained violently ill for over 18 hours, vomiting at intervals of no more than 30 minutes for the entire time. 15 days later, I still feel weak and listless. I was given a 10 prescription of bactrim by my doctor for a sinus infection because I had taken it twice before. Around the third day my tongue started burning so I went back to my doctor and because I suffer from acid reflux my doctor thought thats want was causing the burning of my tongue. Well on the 7th day I took bactrim, about 20 minutes later my stomach, chest, mouth, nose and lips started burning like fire! I was on a 10 day cycle of Doxycycline for a tick bite. I was outside some days and had no problem. Mowed grass on day 7. I had on sunblock also. But my hands tingled when I washed them after mowing. Now 5 weeks later I have these symptoms: Tingling hands and feet, all of my skin burns when touched, tongue and inside of mouth burns, esophagus burns, stomach burns, rash on upper chest and face, if I run my finger across my body it leaves a bright red mark for a few minutes, and if I sit for long my back burns and turns red. Just prescribed Oxycontin op 20 for the first time for chronic lower back pain from two bulging disks that are inflamming S1 and causing severe pain. I've been takng hydrocdone 10-325 for the past 5 years or so along with the injecions. I just took my first dose of Oxycontin op 20 and about 10 -15 minutes after ingesting my heart rate increased tremendously and was pounding through my chest. This lasted about 5 minutes then would return with less severity every 10-15 minutes later for about the next hour. Is this normal? Breathing was ok and I never felt I was going to pass out. I am an active college student, who works and I am under a lot of stress. I also take Loestrin 24 and woman's one a day vitamins. I started vomiting about two weeks ago right after eating pizza and couldn't keep anything down. I was given a script for zomax in 1983, for bursitis. It worked wonders with no side effects. A few months later my bursitis flared up. I still had my zomax, so I took one. Within a minute I new I was in trouble. I was alone with my 2 small children and my sisters 2 children. I called my parents and could barely speak. They got me to the hospital in less than 10 minutes from the time I called them. I was in anaphylactic shock, they had to give me a shot in my chest. I don't remember what else they did to me.
