I came across a scary situation the other day that i think most people on lorazepam might be interested in. I take 1.5 mg of lorazepam a day, have been so for 30 years. My doctor has never mentioned any problems with my medication. Then last week i got a call from her that was frantic and uncontrollable, she kept repeating i have to wean down my dosage and kept repeating if you take oxycodone i could die. It was clear that she wasn't listening to one thing i was telling her. Today i called my family doctor to see what's going on with the DEA and he told me that recently they are looking at prescriptions over 1 mg. My first thought is i should get a new doctor. The conversation with the first doc, my shrink, was as unprofessional as i have ever had and if i don't have to ever...

for eczema, psoriasis- seeping, cracking, blistering skin- I personally used it from the age of 6 mos. in 1955 to 1988, then it disappeared from shelves- it was an over the counter cream and it really worked. At the age of 3 months my skin would swell, crack and seep a clear liquid- a pediatrician introduced the cream to my mother and at the time they had a bar soap, shampoo and cream-of which I used occasionally over the course of 30 years then all of a sudden it disappeared. I did have part of a jar I used sparingly and guarded with my life and I called the company that made the cream and they said that they took the recipe out of circulation. The jar is long gone- sadly and I do not know the name of the pharmaceutical company that originally made it. I now am entering menopause and m...

I took my first dose of Ozempic 0.25mgs and within an hour had really bad stomach cramps (which resulted in quite severe diarrhea and nausea). Is it normal to experience side effects that quickly or is it an unlucky coincidence? ## Yes, you can experience side effects having just taken one dose, it has been known to happen to many people. Along with the issues you experienced, the FDA also warns that other side effects may include tiredness, headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, and bloating. Ref: Ozempic Information How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## I am on my 2nd dose of 0.5mg and still have almost daily post meal diarrhea, bloating and stomach churning. It has done wonders for my blood sugar glucose was 99 last Thursday, but will the diarrhea ever go away? ## I h...

I currently take Adderall IR 20MG twice daily. My question is this: How many MG of Dexedrine IR would be equal to Adderall IR 20MG? How do you convert Adderall IR 20MG to Dexedrine IR 20MG? ## Hello, James! How are you? Usually, these medications are considered equivalent in dosages, so a 20mg dose of one would require a 20mg dose of the other to be therapeutically equivalent. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, weight loss, irritability, and other mood changes. What dosage your doctor recommend? ## The old name for the dexedrine IR was called dextrostat. The dexedrine does not last as long but has a much smoother taper IMHO. The doses are for most intent and purposes similar. I woul...

Hi: I've been prescribed Adderall 20mg IR (generic amphetamine salts, 2x daily) and I found I was just dripping sweat in any type of heat or even at 40 deg after some exertion. My doctor switched me to dextroamphetamine (again, generic, 10 mg, 2x daily), and there is no improvement. The new drug is not as effective as the Adderall. My doctor is not that familiar with this class of drugs, but my pharmacist specialized in mental health drugs and suggested that an ER or XR version might work better. I've also read that some people do better on certain types of generics or the name brands. Has anyone found that: 1) an extended release version has physical side effects (i.e., sweating)? 2) a name brand, rather than generic, has been more effective at preventing side effects? 3) a dif...

I realized my generic medication was dextroamphetamine which is dexedrine and doesn't work for me. It actually gives me a fever and makes me feel ill. I usually take the amphetamine salts combo which is Adderall. How do I remedy the situation with this pharmacy? The doctor wrote it right but the cvs pharmacist is not taking this seriously. They could hurt someone by giving them the wrong drug. I can't take dexedrine, I get feverish and don't feel right on it. What do I do, who can I call to get what I need now? ## Dextroamphetamine immediate release tablet was Dexedrine, but they left that market and it is now Zenzedi. Dexedrine Spansules is the extended release version which would be a capsule. Most, not everyone, but most people will find 100% dextroamphetamine to be stron...

It seems to me that Mirtazapine is a potentially dangerous drug with little information known about it. My veterinarian prescribed this drug in small quantities for my cat as an appetite stimulant, so I began reading articles on the drug and its effects. Although it is supposed to be used as an antidepressant for humans, it has a wide reputation for causing suicidal tendencies in children and young adults. It causes weight gain (the side effect my vet was looking for in my cat's case). It also can cause feelings of depression, and wooziness. I spoke with a nurse who took it and she said the effects of sluggishness and dizziness lasted 2 to 3 days. It can also cause nausea and headaches. It seems to me that these side effects are anything but what a person who is already depressed sh...

I have an orange round pill with no markings and want to know if this is generic Percocet 7.5-325mg? The prescription was filled at a Mexican pharmacy, made by Qualitest. ## Hi Sue, I personally wouldn't trust anything without a marking as there is virtually no way to verify its contents, outside of a lab analysis that usually costs more time and energy than it's worth, at least in my opinion. Qualitest is regarded as a legitimate pharmaceutical manufacturer and the FDA requires them to imprint all pharmaceuticals for distribution in the US. However, in Mexico, I don't know how much a company of this stature can get away with in regards to selling unregulated medication. Do you live in the US and get this filled while visiting Mexico or was the prescription filled at a Mexic...

I filled a prescription for 10 mg generic oxycodone at a pharmacy in Mexico. It is a round white pill with no markings at all. It came in a sealed bottle that says "PERCO 10 mg". Below that, it says "Oxycodone 10 mg". In small print, it states that is manufactured for Generic Lab Inc. Corona CA by Purdue Pharmaceuticals. It even lists the US Patents for the drug. Is this a legit generic drug they were able to release without any markings in Mexico? I only took it once and they did nothing. Should I be afraid to take them? ## It is hard to know for sure. Mexico really does not regulate their medications like the U.S., Canada, and some other countries. Thus, there is no way to be sure what these tablets contain. The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit ...

I bought it in Nassau Bahamas. Looks like white round percocet. Line down the middle but has zero markings. Can it be right? He popped it out a blister pack but I didn't get to read it. ## Tylenol w/Codeine (#3) is avail in Bahamas w/o ?× (a local drugstore, in Nassau, for example) & have seen them come in blister pack— Use caution!! ## @MM, This really strikes me as being a counterfeit, but without a marking it could literally be anything. I just wouldn't recommend trying it until you have a proven way to verify what it actually is. This may mean that you have to send it off first to be analyzed by a lab for accuracy. Keep in mind that oxycodone is only available by prescription throughout most places in the world and all the legitimate ones tend to have an impri...

I don't know if this is a Percocet 10/325 or not. It is a long white pill with M 523 on one side and 10/325 on the other. ## NO A 10/325 PERCOCET IS LONG OVAL AND YELLOW ## o hell ya it is. its called a perk 10 which has no asporin in it its all good codine they have a peace one and a white one which r 5's ## i meant peach ## idk but i just got alot of them ## im tryin to figure out if they perks or viks ## 10/325 XODOL ## is there a NAME for generic Percoset? ## Well first of all, the colors of pills are not proprietary, so not all Percocets are yellow, the only way to tell what it is, is to look up the imprint code. The sizes, shapes and colors of pills can vary greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer once a pill is released for generic production as there are NO regulations...

There are all these conspiracy theories about clonazepam generics, the FDA heavily regulates these and cannot have > +/- 20% of active ingredient. I too favor the tevas, but those are the old school generics and I think we just have an emotional attachment/ placebo effect to with regard to them. These placebo/mental effects can cause REAL withdrawal symptoms (my psychiatrist is one of the top pain/anxiety management docs in Texas). Also certain message boards dont even allow generic brand comparisons because there can be no noticeable difference between generic brands in terms of the effectiveness, but there may be placebo effects on addiction/withdrawal. Does anyone have any non-anecdotal evidence to support certain generics being worse than others? ## If you really want to read up...

I know I’m not crazy I’ve suffered from panic attacks and anxiety so bad I can hardly get in a car or leave my house. I have taken clonazepam for 8 years and has helped me live my life getting out of the house. For the last 2 years I noticed that it wasn’t working anymore. I was suffering from insomnia and I had bad diarrhea. So I stopped clonazepam just to see and after 8 years you would think I would have withdrawals but no very little. My anxiety is the same with or without. I thought maybe I built up tolerance… well I got a new generic accord and I feel as I’m taking that medication again. It works!!!! I can go places and be social. Leave the house!!! I know it’s the AVAGEN Clonazepam. They are as good as placebo. Now I have complained to the manu...

Can I use expired Crestor also known as Rosuvastatin after the expiration date? Maybe 2 or 4 months after expiration? Does it become toxic or just lose effectiveness? ## They just begin to lose efficacy, so it would be best to dispose of them and obtain a new supply. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My mom has Crestor that expired in 2013. Is it safe to take? The bottle has been open. ## So Rosuvastatin, is safe to take after they expired, but lose efficiency? ## Take it. Expiration date mandated by FDA. Just means manufacturers guarantee potency up to that date. Could probably use well past that date.

Methadone is the worst drug. There are alternative ways to detox from opiates. I experienced cold turkey withdrawals after being on methadone for 12 years (90 mg. daily). Living hell. Severe withdrawals lasted two weeks, but less severe withdrawals lasted two months. Further withdrawals lasted for months. I couldn't think, walk, write... I was so miserable. If you are on Vicodin, Norco, etc., don't switch to Methadone. You have no idea what you're playing with. Trust someone who's been there (clean date: 2/1/2005) ## Hello, Caowens! How are you? I just started 30mg Mirtazapine for sleep; weened off Lunesta 2mg, to 1mg, to stopping. First night of 30mg Mitazapine wiped me out the next day. Tried again second night and did not get out of bed second day. Felt like I had the flu. Took 1mg Lunesta 3rd night and slept like a baby. Felt strongly ok the 3rd day. Should I cut this down to 10 or 15 mg Mirtazapine and keep trying with this medication? Or stop since I had such a bad experience first two nights?

Just letting everyone know that I just did the newest Efudex treatment protocol which requires mixing 50% Efudex with 50% Dovonex (vitamin D) and it was very fast and easy. Four days of application of the combo "lit up" my face and 7 days later my face and scalp were virtually back to normal. Minimal pain, like a sunburn, and no scabbing, pus, etc. I was really scared to do the longer treatment after reading blogs and looking at pictures, but the new treatment is a piece of cake. Plus, according to related articles, it actually works better. A real win-win! "SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – A four-day topical combination regimen of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and calcipotriene removed almost 90% of facial actinic keratoses – significantly more than with 5-FU monotherapy, in a rando...

Would you please tell me who is the manufacturer of Vasculera, a new drug for circulatory problems? And where is it made? ## Yes, it appears to be made in the USA. According to the official drug label, Primus Pharmaceuticals is the distributor, but it is actually manufactured by a company called Capstone Nutrition, LLC. They appear to be located in Ogden, Utah. ## Hello, Helen! How are you? Vasculera is actually a prescription food product, it's not considered a drug. It's manufactured by Primus Pharmaceuticals. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is Vasculera made in the USA or another country?
