Yutopar Aka Ritodrine Experiences (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Updated

My husband and I have had our daughter, which is now 30, tested for everything and the doctors can't seem to be able to give us a diagnosis, and things are not getting any better. My beautiful daughter has struggled and suffered so much and it breaks my heart to know that the Yutopar that was given to me, affected my baby. My daughter is the one who suffers from it on a daily basis. My second child is normal, and I did not take the drug while carrying him. I would really like to talk to all of you, something needs to be done to care for these kids that are now adults that can not cope. They sleep, eat, are extremely depressed, suicidal thoughts, learning problems, unable to conform to society, lies, bi-polar, anti-social, can't function in everyday life and with everyday problems. We need help. If anyone out there could possible contact me {edited for privacy}.

I am new to this forum and am both shocked and relieved to find answers to what I call a gut feeling that something isn't right here. I was given Ritrodrine in 1982 to stop early labor and was on it for half my pregnancy. My son was born with severe colic that lasted 6 weeks, he has fits of pain so bad we thought his head was going to explode as we saw just about every vein in his head pop out and he turned beet red. He struggled all his life with mood disorders, depression, bi-polar but refused to take meds. He often questioned me about the drug I took to keep him in to full term and always brushed it away. I wished I listened!!! He is now 31 and still struggling with emotional issues and turned to marijuana which landed him in the hospital with psychosis. Bottom line is he cannot cope and is constantly struggling. The amazing thing is that he is super intelligent but cannot fit in. I have another child with no issues and often wondered what we did wrong as he demanded so much more attention than she did. I live in Canada and would like to join a legal suit if there is one started. This company has destroyed too many lives.

I know this is a very delayed response to your post. I took ritodrine in 1985 and my son has social problems, behavior problems that got him kicked out of high school, depression, has suicidal ideations, can't make or keep friends, has no desire to get a job, makes very poor choices that affect his life long term, was a very difficult teenager, ran away, threatened me and his younger sister, was very disrespectful to me, his dad, teachers, authority figures. His life pretty much has sucked since he was about 5 years old. He had fine motor problems, attention to task issues, unable to finish anything he started, became hyperfocused and ruminated on things of little value to his life. After reading about how ritodrine has affected other adults exposed to this as a fetus, I'm absolutely certain it is to blame. Our 2nd child had no problems, ever, growing up or now as an adult.

I was also given Yutopar for premature labor in 1991. My 25 year old son has had problems with depression and anxiety his whole life. He was recently diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and cannot work due to this.

I have found so many families of grown children that were affected by this drug and their lives turned up side down, ours included. I was put on this drug in my 6 month and took the drug by pill and IV when the pill didn't work, unfortunately I had no idea that this was an experimental drug and what effect it would have on our lives, and my daughter stuggles with it on a daily basis. I agree they should not be able to get away with this.

OMG I was reading about your daughter. Im really sorry you have to go through all of that. I gave birth so a son 23yrs old. He is disabled and I've never been able to get a real reason as to why he is disabled. He is my middle son. My first born and last born are "normal". I never took that medicine with them either. My son takes medicine for bi-polar, schizophrenia and to sleep. In the last few months he is getting worse. He now spends most of the day pacing back and forth aimless. He looks lost in his own brain. Mental retardation, doesnt read or write...... so many other things. Please let me know if we can do something.

Hello. I found a natural medicine Rhodiola Rosea, that works on to reduce the adrenaline (Stress, flight, fight, freeze reaction) levels and increases the serotonin levels( good mood, feeling secure, positive etc) I am taking this now and it eases me I feel less tight, stress and I feel it has a positive influence on the deep rooted damage that was done during my mothers pregnancy where she was given Ritorine. It is an antidepressant, reduces stress. Because i do not want to take any chemical antidepressant or whatever, this is a very good alternative I think.

IMPORTANT NATURAL MEDICINE !!!! I have been writing about my experience as a "ritodrine child" I have found that this medicine damages the Hypofyse Hypothalamus adrenal Axis. Ritodrine is a antagonist or adrenaline like substance and it blocks Oxitocine the love hormone that plays an important role in social contact, feeling connected in this world and feeling happy and feeling trust and being able to handle stress. I found important natural medicines for this damage: I am taking 5 months now and feeling very good results. I feel more centered, loving, social etc . These remedies are the so called Adaptogenes, such as Rhodiola Rosea, Maca, and ginseng. I also found out that CBD-oil works on this Hypothalamus Hhyposyse Adrenal Axe too. It is said to restore and repair it permanently. I am taking this, and I feel much better really, I want you to know these Natural medicines are of great benefit. Please respond.

Don't know how recent these posts are but I took Yutopar in 1991, in Canada where I live, when I was pregnant. My son is highly anxious and tells me he has "dark" days. I am so shocked stumbling on these posts and know in my heart that this is the reason why my son is the way he is. No - I am angry. What can we do?

Hello people.
My Mother took this medicine During her pregnancy of me. Almost being Born at 26 weeks. So I consider i had a near death experience there. Pulled back into my body into life by Rithodrine. It is not easy. Being a child who wants to go back to the essence of life, being hold back in a body, in eathly existence by my parents, docters and Rithodrine . But hey! I suppose God wants me here. I can complain to docters, pharmacy. But this Will put me even more down. Having a near death experience at such early age makes you very sensitive. But in a society as we live in there is no place for this. And yes it is difficult experiening hell on this earth because children Born with near death experience have an open door to the astral worlds. And in this society this is considered as a mental disorder. While in more spiritual developed groups like indians, these children where guided and thought to navigatie through these realms to become seeers, visionairs, docters of the tribe. Spiritual development is very important in this case. To know there is love, light, God, angels and guides who can help is through hell. Back into the light. To be guided on this Path to the light, the get the teachings that are spiritually helping us. But in these Times the world lost this connection and are stuck in delusion of this world and lost connection to nature and the true nature of our existence on this earth. It is terrible to be Born here, being so sensitive with open doors to realms that average person has forgotten to exist. In a world where nature, the earth and people are being misused violently. It is difficult to stay sane... I am very happy to have found a spiritual school, natural medicine, my way to get to know the realms of the astral worlds through my studies. I decided to Make this sensitivity into a study. I found a way through spirituality, religion, to deal with the rollercoaster i am Born in. Still going up and down. But i learned to recognise the levels of existence and start to get well on my way to the light.
There is hope. A lot of hope. Rhitodrine children are not hopeless, forever broken. We need not to be fixed there is nothing wrong with us... We need trust, understanding surroundings and guidence through this sencitiviness, we need something to look out for, believe, love, light. See what I mean? Please leave a reply.
