Trouble With Getting A Suboxone Prescrption! (Page 6)

Hi All, My name is Amy. I was addicted to oxy's for seven years and then herion for 2 years. I live in Pa. I got on methadone and it really helped. I was on methadone for 7 years. I got off of it in Dec. 2008. I decreased very slowly from 80mgs to one mg. I thought i was gonna be fine, my counselor led me to believe I wouldnt have bad withdrawls, well 2 days after I felt HORRIBLE! I was in bad withdrawl. I bought suboxone from a friend. It worked a miracle! See I dont think a suboxone doctor will see me, first because I am not using oxys or heroin, second I suffer from P.T.S.D, depression, aniexty and severe panic attacks. I see a psyciatrist and thereapist. I am on klonopin, xanax, and effexor. I was told that I can not go to a suboxone doctor because I am on these medications. So I am in a hard spot. Because I do not have a sub. doctor and have trouble finding them I relapsed on herion on May 2, 2009. I actually Over dossed and almost died. I just dont know what to do, I definately do not want to get back on the methadone. Does anyone have any advice or live in Pennsylvania and know the laws about being on suboxone and anxiety meds.? I do not get high from the suboxone, it gives me some energy and lets me be normal, no cravings,I feel great. It just really sucks that I can not get a prescription for suboxone. Does anyone have a similar problem or does anyone know of anything I can do so I can get a prescription for suboxone. I see all this online stuff, but can i trust it? it says u can buy suboxone online. Is this true? Sorry this is so long, I am just confused and worried. I do not want to ever relapse again. This all depends on who the person is. Ive taken opiets with Sub before and never got the withdrawal feeling. Shouldn't be mixing them up at all but my doctor had given me a small dosage for pain for a short time while I was on my sub. I had no problems with any Detox symptoms. Now I have a friend who it actually does get the withdrawal feeling. So it all depends.

If you get an answer please please please let me know. I was on it for a little while then they put me on methadone which is 10 times more horrible than what I was doing when I went to the clinic. I dropped one of the pills so they said I was trying to sneak them out. The short time I was on suboxone it was a miracle but there is not a doctor in a hundred mile radius that will see me. Well there was one, he charges $600 cash only and will not fill out the pre authorization forms for insurance. I am a millimeter away from suicide, I know there is a medication that would be wonderful and I can't get it.

I am detoxing from vicadin 10 or 12 a day. My Dr wasn't qualified to give anything but clonidine. I'm not craving bit the detox is killing me I need such oxen

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm in Indiana and was very hard to find a doctor to help me. Seems like it's a battle itself just to find the doctor to help. I'm currently not on those pp anymore was taking up to 18 a day for 13 yrs oh lord I'm so glad to be over that. Took suboxone though. The withdrawals and sickness was too hard trust me I have tried so many times without help. Thinking once I get thru the sickness be two weeks in and bam relapses.

Hey Amy, I am having the same problem. I am about 30 miles from Pittsburgh. I have been on subs for 5 years. Since I have moved here, I have had to drive to Philly every few months to get subs off of the streets cuz the docs are so expensive.

I am on Xanax and was on Suboxone at same time. It's 100% ok. By the way Suboxone and methadone withdrawal are exactly the same. I've come off both. Each take about 31 days to recover from. Methadone maybe a week more. Both feel just as bad.

I suffer from all the same things that you are. I have been looking for a doctor to put me back on my suboxone, Xanax, riddlin and head meds. I finally went to a counselor which was able to refer me to place's and that was a huge help, because now I have appt next week with a Dr for my ADHD and anxiety plus I'm finally on the waiting list for the Discovery House. So maybe that way can work for you also. You can see more than 1 Dr for your meds!

Yes that's true but you cant get any meds like your talking about. The suboxone contract will flop so fast that you'll be s***ting gravy before night fall! Your sub dr. may put you on those meds but you cannot get those meds and if you do its because you haven't said anything to your sub dr.

well I live in Texas I have been on methodone I would never do that again I have a great doctor here but if you get on the suboxone they will not give all stuff you are on
my doctor put me on 5 min of vaiuln he wont give me any more he told me that it slowers your heart rate down if you what to know more email

You are a junkie and an addict. You don't need all the drugs but you need them because you will go full blown WD. Ur life will be cut short!

Hi Amy, I myself am on suboxone. With the same exact issues that you've been thru. That methadone is a killer. I live in california and have an awesome dr. I'm also on klonopin for anxiety. But on my last visit he asked me to make a choice as to what drug I'd need most because the feds are coming down on these drs for prescribing suboxone when on benzos. You can find a dr. You may have to taper off the benzos but that's something to talk to your dr about. Like someone else suggested trying suboxone.com for a possible clinic near you. I've never heard of a suboxone clinic, but I'm sure it's different in all the states. Just keep trying and begging a dr. Explain you NEED HELP!!! Good luck and god bless. Hi, did you ever find any help? I'm in the same boat. I have been calling every place I know. I missed my appointment and now I still can't find anyone. This is hard and depressing, no one understands how it feels. I need sub bad. I've been taking pain killers for four years and I want to stop. I took sub twice and it works miracles but no one wants to prescribe me any. Does any one know of any doctors near Harrisburg pa or surrounding areas? I need help asap please.
